Jack C. was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. You could tell he loved his job. The campus was absolutley beautiful other than the mold and cracks that need to be cleaned and repaired on most of the buildings.

Wonderful home base for fascinating tours of Wright’s collection of buildings on the campus of Florida Southern College. I was surprised to find a model home that he designed but wasn’t built until five years ago. It is a treasure to explore. I particularly enjoyed taking the unique Wright After Dark tour.

If you can justify it, there is a $45, 2 1/2 hour tour (starts at 1PM). You are taken to all 13 Frank Lloyd Wright buildings & features and given a thorough explanation, background, and plenty of detail. Photos are allowed! (Nice change from most Frank Lloyd Wright places.)

As a Frank Lloyd Wright fan this is a MUST to visit! I took the 2.5 hour tour with a friend and the cost was totally worth it. This is the largest installation of Wright buildings in the world. Staff is wonderful too. Park across street from the Visitor Center. Lots of walking, some stairs.

We took the full guided tour with Karen from The Visitor Center. Well worth the money, as she taught us what we were seeing with all the nuances and symbolism in his architecture. This is also the place where we really understood his genius for placement. The buildings of this University juxtapose both with one another and, more particularly, with the natural setting. If you have more than a passing interest in American architecture, you will want to take this tour.

We drove from Oak Park Illinois to see the water dome. We visited at 7PM. The dome wasnt working at the time we arrived. It would be a good idea if there was a vending machine that people could put $5 into and watch the fountain spray for 5 minutes. Thanks

Also known as the Sharp Family Tourism and Education Center, this is the place to start your tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright buildings at the Florida Southern College Campus. You can take a tour with a docent at certain times of day, or ask for the map/pamphlet for the self guided walking tour. We thought it was worth the $5 donation and were happy to contribute to the cause. The centers gift shop was well stocked with gifts, books, stationery and art objects based on Wrights life and designs. We had a delightful afternoon enjoying the sights and the history. Well worth the trip, especially if you are interested in architecture and design.

Fabulous experience! We took the basic tour and Jack gave us a personalized and very educational tour! We are older and slow (several joint operations), and he made sure to provide rest spots, while he explained about our current location. I LOVE Frank Lloyd Wright and this is an absolute not to miss destination! The basic tour 90 minutes to 2 hours, visits all the buildings and enters 3. Again dont miss it if you love architecture, FLW or art. Parking is across the street from Visitor Center/Gift Shop. Wear walking shoes and bring water!

The worlds largest single site of Frank Lloyd Wright designs is worth your time and effort to tour. Spread through the Florida Southern College campus in charming Lakeland, Florida, the seminar buildings, library, administration building, two chapels and 160 diameter Waterdome fountain are connected by covered walkways, which Wright called the esplanade. Built primarily between 1938 and Wrights death in 1959, the buildings continue to serve the student body. Placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1975. Guided tours are available, or tour the campus on your own with a map, purchased at the adjacent admission building/gift shop, which has extensive Wright-branded souvenirs, books, and home decor.
