Smack dab in the middle of town! Walking in Ketchikan - stop by and see the Totem Pole and read the history. So much activity here - hustle and bustle. Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: Alaskas history is beautiful!

Whale park was one of my favorite places. There is so much history and culture just spread around the area. It’s hard not to feel one with the earth in Alaska and this park makes you feel almost like you belong there. It’s well kept and colorful and has a lot of nice things to set your eyes on.

This location was not opened and we got yelled at by a worker and was fairly rude. We expressed that we did not mean to walk onto the property but was yelled and threatened to have the police called on us. Would expect a little more understanding of someone getting lost for a heavily touristy location

Love the spring time here. Why is it called whale park? Its because its in the shape of a whale but has beautiful seating. An old clock and light. It does have a totem pole with some information about the totem pole. Must see to enjoy

Interesting tidbit: the totem pole here is the same pole that is featured on the next to last page of the US passport. Nice and relaxing park.

The flowers are always stunning! A totem for the eye of the whale and at the tail is the most photographed totem in the world.
