Whale park was one of my favorite places. There is so much history and culture just spread around the area. It’s hard not to feel one with the earth in Alaska and this park makes you feel almost like you belong there. It’s well kept and colorful and has a lot of nice things to set your eyes on.
This location was not opened and we got yelled at by a worker and was fairly rude. We expressed that we did not mean to walk onto the property but was yelled and threatened to have the police called on us. Would expect a little more understanding of someone getting lost for a heavily touristy location
Love the spring time here. Why is it called whale park? Its because its in the shape of a whale but has beautiful seating. An old clock and light. It does have a totem pole with some information about the totem pole. Must see to enjoy
Interesting tidbit: the totem pole here is the same pole that is featured on the next to last page of the US passport. Nice and relaxing park.
The flowers are always stunning! A totem for the eye of the whale and at the tail is the most photographed totem in the world.
Nice small park. Creative benches with whale backs.
Small park that is shaped like a whale when viewed from above. Wonderful Flora and well tended landscape with a couple of benches for sitting.
Beautiful area but also has homeless there quite often sleeping on benches so dont get startled
Very interesting place to visit.
TOTEMS AND LONG HOUSE TOO
A cutie little park downtown that has beautiful trees and flowers with benches and you can walk through the whole park not just around it
You fall in love with this place, truly Alaska is so beautiful...
Small little garden with some park benches, this area is in the shape of a whale with the cars parking inside the mouth. The flowers and trees are beautiful every year.
