Ive always enjoyed The Bay. Good job to Parks and Rec. Of Greater Kansas City

The overall experience was positive. We, my daughters and grandchildren visited on Independence Day. Although, the advertised time was noon we were told they would open at eleven. We waited until 11:27 before they finally allowed us entry.We started out at the larger pool because the childrens wading pool was not open yet. It DoD mot open until around 1:00 pm. Ultimately, we enjoyed ourselves. The water was clear and cool. The staff was kind, respectful, and attentive.

The place was great! A real family atmosphere. Clean lockers/rest rooms. Enjoy activities. Very helpful and friendly staff. In fact, Princess one of the Life guards went way out of her way to retrieve my glasses. I highly recommend taking the family.

This park doesnt open when its suppose to, nor does it have any responsible partys to run the park. Its ran by children who are disrespectful to the paying customers. The fountains are never on and when you call the city about it; they tell you its up to the park!? When in fact it belongs to the city! The city we pay taxes in.. This city needs better places to swim.

Its a great place to go with your kids of all ages.

I give 4 stars for the park and 0 for management! The park was a great place to take our grandchildren. They had a blast!The price was great!SAFETY NOTE TO PARENTS!!!!Definitely plan for your children to NOT be monitored by lifeguards!!!!!!! I have NEVER been at a water park where lifeguards that we’re CONSTANTLY on their phones AND socializing, horse playing, sitting around a table and nobody was watching children in the pools.. It literally was a teen hangout for the staff! The park was not busy and they had a few places stationed around various parts of the park, but they were social groups of laughing and nobody was watching the children in the water!!If there was a way to post pictures and videos, I would and will make sure proper authorities are notified. It’s only a matter of time until a child drowns!!!!!

VERY cool place. It was a very clean and well-staffed place that seemed to be maintained pretty well. There are so many unique activities here for all ages that anyone will have a good time! Bring your own food from wherever you want and make a day of it

Way more than i could have hoped for. The price is so low but the staff is fantastic, there are so many staff members at all times. Everything is clean, and with the three different pools plus the wave area means that nothing is overly crowded. Ive never had a bad experience!

Easy going place that is cheap but still fun. Even when it was getting busy we still didnt have to wait long in lines. The kids loved it. Not many rides but just the basics to make it fun with a large normal pool. So easy cheap fun for the kids and even parents! They have a mini lazy river, 2 tube water slides, and the funnel slide along with a tiny tikes playing area and a normal swimming pool. They also had a wave rider but it was out of order when we went this last time and you have to pay to use it, but its cheap and entertaining.

The Bay used to be a nice waterpark however it is falling apart. The large slide in the kiddie pool was broke. The surf area was broke. The paint was coming off of everything. They didnt have very many rafts for the lazy river. It doesnt manage to a dress code. There were people making out which was not appropriate for the smaller children. Needs to be reviewed and management needs to take a walk through.

If you actually enjoy swimming or your not a small child this place isnt for you. Its just a lazy river with a couple of small slides. Although it would be a good place to take you little ones.

We had a great time. They have 4 different pool areas to choose from.. a basketball goal set up on the edge of the pool.. 3 slides to choose from.. the lazy river.. flow rider.. the kiddi pool had 2 slides. Everyone was really friendly. The only downside is the food selection isnt the greatest..

The Lady River was AWESOME!! They have a surfing area basketball hoop and 3 wonderful slides. Funnest day in a while.

We had a lot of fun at The Bay. The kids loved all the slides, the lazy river was really refreshing, and there were lots of things to do. Much more cost effective than Oceans of Fun and still plenty of fun.

What a lovely surprise! Wasnt sure what to expect. Clean. Friendly, mindful staff. Looking forward to going again and again!

Kids had fun but were disappointed the surf ride wasnt open. Was the main reason for making this part of our vacation Staff said had been down for several week . Would be nice if they updated their website.

Liked the price. Had alot more stuff then I expected. I liked the water park itself. One of the slides and wave pool wasnt working not sure for how long. What I didnt like was most of the life guards werent paying attention. The 2 at the top of the slides (boy & girl) was more interested in kissing each other and taking pictures of themselves. Ridiculous. At the bottom of the slides was a lifeguard that was friendly and paid attention. Even went back later after noticing the other life guards and asked him his name and thanked him. Ive never reviewed anything on google before, but I thought this was necessary. I heard so many people tell me not to go here because its ghetto. Couldnt be more wrong. The staff was awesome (one of them even helped me carry my coolers) the attractions were great, and it was clean. It was the perfect size for the birthday party of multiple aged kids, because you can pretty much sit in the middle and watch all of them. Its SO cheap too! $5 adult $4 kids. You can bring your own food too! I will definitely be making this a regular place for my family.

Need to make bigger. Add more attractions to make it more exciting to go visit.

I took my daughters three different days this week and all three days my daughters enjoyed themselves. The only thing I didnt like is they didnt have locks for lockers and I didnt like the fact that one guy never got in the pool just sat with his clothes on watching everything. Kinda made me wonder why he was there?

Really fun place but some staff was pretty rude. Overall good waterpark and a good place to bring kids.

Went here for the first time on the 4th of July. They opened late which kinda irritated me but I got over it, anyways the water park overall was fun and I enjoyed it. A couple things Id like to point out, I like that the life jackets were free of charge and the price to get in was fair. Took forever to open up the portion for smaller children. By the time it opened we were ready to go. Overall decent, I may go again or maybe not.

Staff were very kind, friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were clean, as well as the overall water park.

Fun, not too expensive, chill place to relax poolside with the whole family.

Just read that some rides are broken here. No wonder I have never seen anyone on one of the slides and wave rider. This place is so inexpensive. Come here if you have a large family. Park is small, but for the price, not too shabby.

So this place is cool they have 2 slides a lazy river an adult pool & this thing where it seems like your surfing . well one of the slides wasnt working , the surfing thing wasnt working either . when i first went it took them almost an hour from the time they say they open to actually open . ive gone 2 times already this year trying to take my kids swimming & both times it has been closed . google clearly says there open !i really think they dont have enough life guards !

Wanted to like this place. Wonderful slides, inner tube slides and good facility but 30 minutes into our trip to the childrens pool a child barfed in the pool and they told everyone out of the pool. Thats a necessary response. The kids pool was closed for two hours which seemed excessive to me, especially since that was half the attractions for my four-year old.Two hours into our stay they announced the entire park was closing a full five hours before their natural closing time. They would not tell us why but my guess is the department of health forced them to because of some issue. They refused to disclose why. Worse they refused to issue refunds to the families that had just arrived.Some people were justifiably pissed. We had been there a couple of hours so I figured we had gotten our moneys worth but I feel for the people that had just arrived. It was bonkers. Not sure I will go back.

Run down and overpopulated, unrurely teens everywhere and pool water was filthy.

The staff have no idea how to handle events. They only seem to know how to take money. We planned a birthday party with them 2weeks in advance and the had no idea what we were talking about. The took the money for it though. As of the rest of the park, one ride was down and parts of others were not working either (ie misters, waterfalls, etc) and the big slides hurt going down each connection. Overall, my kids liked it, we didnt, and I doubt we ever return.

Their slides are always closed. They werent open on a day they were supposed to be because they keep having problems with inspections and permits for the slides and all.

I had a great time here, even tho half of the park was closed down for maintenance the day I came. The food could be better. Priced kind of high for what you get. Other than that, this place is pretty cool.

Its a wonderful place to take your family and its close to a lot of shopping centers also they offer swim lessons which are amazing the place is very affordable and fun

Dangerous place. Would never visit. Lived around the corner for 15 years prior to the park being built. It did nothing to improve the area.

Fun little park but several of the attractions are permanently broken. The waverider and one of the water slides. Not sure why they arent getting fixed. The low low price makes up for it. The lazy river is nice and the baby area is surprisingly deep--maybe three feet.

Pretty clean overall.. Fun for any age.

Got to the Bay 10:57am today, walked in and went straight for my chair in the Big ppl pool and it was green, cheeto bags, laffy taffy wrappers, and hair, floating in the pool. You couldnt even see the bottom oh and to top it off there was white scum floating on the top. I asked who I athought was a supervisor, what was going on and he said were are fixing it now. Its going to take all day to fix that pool. You should have told your customers before they paid, that the MAIN POOL WAS CLOSED!!! When i left 1hour later they looked at me like I was a moron when I asked for my money back. Ill never go to the BAY EVER AGAIN. ITS DISGUSTING. THE EMPLOYEES ARE ALL LAUGHING AND PLAYING AROUND NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO ANYONE. If you care please respond back.. Ill be waiting.Disgusted patron

Its 20-30 minutes from Overland Park but worth it. Its cleaner, cheaper ($5, +$2 for the wave rider), less crowded, and better staffed than any public pool in Johnson County, including the ones with >$1M homes. Its got zero-depth pools w/kiddie slides and rain buckets, big-kid slides, a wave-rider & boogie boards, a great snack bar with healthy & traditional snacks, well-trained, friendly lifeguards & staff, and best of all, shaded picnic tables with OUTLETS!!!! The low ratings tend to be based on racism (Natives coming down from the trees? Seriously?) or closings due to weather/health hazards (vomiting in a pool *does* require closure). Anyone who behaves even mildly inappropriately is asked to leave. Bottom line: All day, economical family fun.

Girl got shot and killed after the first week open. 2 Months later found a young teen with a bullet in his head in the parking lot.

The pools here smelled like pee. We tried to ignore it but it was overwhelming and made us feel disgusting. Normally you smell chlorine at pools which you couldnt smell here just pee. Will not go here again.

Very clean, well staffed. When we went it was not crowded at all. The park was almost empty at 5 pm, would have been nice to stay longer if we could. Plenty for the kids to keep busy, we were just sunburned.

Nice and Cleann. But I wouldnt go in the weekends because is super full even no place to park.

Two hours before my sons birthday party, they called to ask if Id like to reschedule due to inclement weather. When I checked the weather online there was a 0% chance of rain during my party time. I called back and let them know I would not like to cancel it. 1 hour before the party time they called me back and let me know that the water park was closed and I would have to reschedule. Not only was my son upset, but we were also out the money that we spent on food and cupcakes. Not to mention the time it takes to coordinate schedules with the invited guests. Their response on Facebook was that they have to take factors such as attendance, weather, and temperatures into consideration. In this case, Im certain it was a slow day and they just wanted to close up and go home. That shouldnt have been an option when they had a birthday party scheduled. I will not be rescheduling for fear that this could happen again.

“Wonderful small water park”Traveled to Kansas City in August of 2016 and had a few hours free so took two eleven year-olds to this water park. Staff was attentive and very friendly.

This used to be a beautiful waterpark. Every year something at the park is broken and never fixed. I have been trying to contact city officials about the maintenance of the park.

Love this place I cant wait to go next year when both our oldest girls can ride the big slides.

OMG the bay now yes I may be a lil of a drive but for the price staff and amazing aquatics center that they have it is so very worth it.
