A neat old school experience. Lots of old video games. Some obscure ones. Lots of variety of drinks, including many taps. Prices are slightly high on beer. Staff was friendly. There is surprisingly good pizza. Love the professional wrestling Summer Slam video on TV.

It reminds me of that place from the ninja turtle movie where all the foot soldiers hung out. One of the coolest places in KC.

I used to love this place! Our experience last night was less than pleasing though. They would not exchange our tokens in order to refund tokens we didnt spend. I couldnt take my redbull with me when we left (in a can, non-alcoholic). Other than banning me from the place, I was truly curious what the bouncer would have done to stop me, it was rather obnoxious. Are you going to get hands-on and assault me over a redbull, and when you do, what are the cops going to say, especially in an open container state anyways? So now we have over $10 in unused tokens (which would be fine if we lived in the area), and a bitter taste in our mouths, which is unfortunate.There are a lot of classic arcade games to choose from, which is the only plus, being the only bar like it in the area.

Good place to play games and a variety of beers on tap. Only complaint Id have is that some of the pinball machines were either hard to see or just not quite working properly. Still a fun place though.

Decent crowd, drinks werent over priced, and had a blast with the arcade...but it was super muggy inside. In fact I left because it was to hot. Some fans installed, and Id give a 5 star

I like the fact that no one under the age of 21 is allowed. Even though some of the adults act more like kids I like playing all the older machines that I played when I was younger. My friend is really big on pin ball games and loves to go here instead of playing them at home online. Great music,staff,and atmosphere. Love the upstairs but go when they tell you to fit the sunset we missed it. Still great

I love the games, pin ball machines are 25 cents. You can buy tokens at a good price. I forget what day of the week it is, but tokens are 10 cents a piece

Everything was nice. I really enjoyed the games and reasonable priced drinks. The only thing was manager Jason I believe was super rude and aggressive. He seemed like he wanted to fight someone. Everyone else seemed nice and I will definitely go back just hope I dont run into him again. : )

Fun atmosphere, lots of great classic games. I particularly enjoyed the amount and variety of pinball machines. Clever seasonal drink specials. Nice outside patio areas of you want to chill and take a break. Had fun chatting with people playing classics like Turtles in Time and The Simpsons.

Surprisingly cheap and fun bar, cant believe Ive never been inside before. Its an ideal old school arcade and their pizza is really tasty.

Me and my friend went to this place on an evening. We tried their food and drinks. We were really happy with the quality they served. Moreover, the place a very different and unique vibe. We went their just for a drink or two, but we ended up spending around 3 hours at this place. The place has a very good vibe that binds you in itself and you enjoy staying there. The staff was really polite and made sure that we got each and every service in time.

Such a neat place! Went on a Wednesday night and it wasnt too busy. Large array of games and chill attentive staff. Price for the games was great too!

Great place to hang out with friends and make new friends. It has a nice patio area for enjoying the weather and smoking--if youre a smoker. If you have a dog, they let you bring your pup onto the patio. They even provide water for you fur-baby. Lots of fun games - and if youre hungry, they serve pizza.

Had a few drinks and spent a few dollars on games. Lots of different drinks on tap plus liquors and canned options. It was a fun way to pass time. There are specials on most days, an upstairs with fun games, and an outside patio! Happy gaming!

Up-Down is such a fun bar! They have great specials each day, but Sundays are easily the best - a 6-pack of beer and a pound of tokens (in a fanny pack!) for $25.Do yourself a favor, and get a piece of mac & cheese pizza from their kitchen. So tasty!

Drinks were good. Bartenders were cool. Games were neat. It was way too packed for my taste (which is a great thing for business but not for me). Id definitely go back on a less busier day/time.

This place is really special. A lot of games that I haven’t seen of or thought about in years! Pretty good assortment of alcohol. Just don’t accidentally go out of the wrong door to exit or you will be shunned and booed!

This is an awesome place to go unwind. I recomend you visit this place during the week since it can get pretty crowded on the weekends. They also have a live N64 that you can just pick up and play with some really good classics. The amount of arcade games and pinball machines is quite diverse too.

Dropped a piece of mac and cheese pizza on the floor as I was carrying it + drinks and another slice through the bar. A bar tender (?) saw me and immediately grabbed it off the floor and offered to grab me a new slice. She was so sweet and amazing. Im sure Im not the first drunk person to drop a slice but they sure know how to handle it.

Cool little place! Saturday night was VERY crowded, but people were friendly. TIP: Buy your tokens from the bar. There are usually specials going on where you can get 2 for 1, etc. We liked that there are ALOT of arcade and pinball games to choose from and they are only .25! We will be back!

Door guy was nice and service was good. It was busy but still got beer fast. They have skee ball and Mario Kart on the big screen which is fun and the have tons of old school 80s and 90s arcade games. Beers are average price and they do have quite a bit of beers on tap. If youre into games and beers, Id recommend it.

Love playing games at this bar, it can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but just because theres a lot of games people like to play. They also have a big patio which is awesome when the weather is good. Definitely one of the better arcade bars Ive been to. Plenty of beer on tap too. Highly recommend.

If you have not been you definitely should stop by. Makes you feel like a kid again. If you are hungry they have a kitchen inside which has some awesome pizza. In the summer there are life size games on the front patio and upstairs deck.

Very busy on weekends. Lots of vintage arcade games with a couple new ones mixed in. All looked to be in working order. Drink and token specials of course available during the week and they have a decent patio if you need an outdoor breather

This is was such a fun arcade bar mix to be at. They have like old style games that anyone would love. Went there expecting to spend around and hour or two and when i left it was about three and a half. All games cost a quarter or a token and a token is 25 cents ig exchanged. They also offer pizza and have specials on different days.

Cool arcade bar. Tons of vintage games, mixed with a few newer ones. We went on a Saturday evening when the place was packed and still had a really enjoyable time.Beware: some of the machines will eat your coins.Definitely will return!

Noisy fun blast from the past all the games you wasted your lawn mowing money on and some you wish you had. I dont drink but if I did it would be here with the old gang !! They have Bunches of stand up video game machines and a pile of pinball machines! I have been to a few corporate after work parties and when the weather is nice the outside areas are fun to sit chat and play gigantic versions of connect for and Jenga! A blast of a good time in down town!

I love this Bar. Im not a huge fan of going out but when I do, its probably going to Up-Down. They have the best drinks and games. If youre looking for a fun relaxing night out with friends or by yourself. I suggest Up-Down KC.

My first stop when I moved here! So much fun and the atmosphere is crazy. Drinks are good and well priced as well. A good place to hang out with friends, go on a date, or even just chill alone at the bar with good drinks and video games.

This place was a ton of fun. They have all kinds of video games. And they its cheap to play them. They make good drinks and the pizza by the slice was pretty good.

Up-down has always been a great casual or funky date night. Ski ball is the best and they have classics like Pac man, asteroids, Tetris and most every other video game I could think of. Tuesdays are 10 cent tokens so great value!!!

AMAZING! We went on Halloween which was also 10¢ Token Thursday and we had a blast! You can tell careful thought was put into this place! The music is great and at a reasonable volume, the games are great and they took care to always have somewhere to put your drink no matter what machine youre playing. They place is a great size and layed out in way that offers sections that are more private. Great experience!

Recently I had an opportunity to visit Up Down and really enjoyed my visit. The environment is up beat and getting to play video games for a quarter was really awesome. Then theres the old wrestling shows they play along with movies from the time era, which adds to the vintage of the place.The management creates a fun safe space for people to come, have a drink, and play Asteroids.The reason I gave them a 4 star is the floor space is somewhat restrictive when trying to move around.I would recommend this as a fun date, or a fun time hanging out with friends, or just going solo.

This place is an absolute blast! All the arcade games you could play in. A night and all just a quarter. The bartenders and staff are all super friendly and nice. The atmosphere is fun. There are 80s videos playing all over the place and people are super friendly. We would up making new friends. Its a new favorite hang out for us.

Great atmosphere and the nostalgia kicks in hard as you become engulfed in the sights and sounds of your youth.Pizza is good and generous at $4 per slice.The bar staff are friendly and personable, and are always happy to answer questions or to chit chat when there’re not busy.I’ve been a few of times and haven’t had an issue with any game or pinball machine not working properly.Huge selection of beers (draft and cans) to enjoy while you’re on your quest to set a high score!If you love classic games and cold beer then this is s must visit!

First bartender was nice and informative. Second one not so. Suspiciously stared at myself and husband when we told him we lost out on coins to a game that was not clear on how to play it. He begrudgingly gave us some more tokens. At the end of the night we were waiting outside for a Lyft in the freezing cold. We were on the porch using the building to help break the wind when a staff member opens the door and tells us we have to get off the porch. Terribly rude.

Super fun place! Ive been here for birthdays, dates, and first Fridays. There are tons of games so even when its busy there is always something to do. People are generally very good about letting others take turns. Drinks are really well priced and well made! Oh and the Mac and cheese pizza is a must, absolutely delicious.

I got 4 free quarters after one of my quarters got ate by Galaga, needless to say I love this place. Super cool techs, awesome beer, and radical games. I wish I lived closer. I would work/live here.
