Buffet food, yeah, super delicious. Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. Looking forward to coming back with my relatives. This place has a cool atmosphere. I can see why they have a lot of positive reviews.

We decided to enjoy the buffet for Mothers Day. The service was great. The food was great. However, my family and I witnessed a male employee dropped silverware on the floor and with no hesitation pick it up and put it back in to the clean utensil cabinet... Gross!

Lovely ambience, the ceiling is moulded like a bright sky. Nice food and good sight seeing. Has an all you can eat buffet made up of about 7 to 8 different cuisine stalls. At the entrance before getting to the buffet is a casino and little cafes. The ceiling looks like you are looking directly at the sky with lovely clouds in between. There is also a nice looking old locomotive train at the extreme end of the walk through that looks like a cobbled stone street.Also has hotel accommodation. This is a lovely place to spend a quite weekend vacation with loved ones and a fun sightseeing for the kids.

First time here and it is by far my favorite buffet. Cheaper than I expected and delicious food. Very clean restaurant. Great desserts, nice variety too. I like how it was food court style and organized. The staff was also friendly. Would definitely visit here again when given the opportunity.

Can get very hectic here on the weekends, or on their seafood buffet. I prefer coming here on Tuesday when its calm. Food Quality is always great, chefs are always friendly & ready to help. Wait staff are usually very punctual with table service & clean up. You definitely get everything you pay for, here. Lots to choose from & if you just in the area, this is definitely a MUST DO.

We ate at the buffet yesterday (Thursdays are a reduced price lunch special). Our service was excellent! The special price buffet was missing a few things, as you would expect, from the regular or dinner buffet. For example, there were no peel and eat shrimp, and only one fish entree (tilapia with lemon butter sauce). The collard greens were top-notch! Many other items were good. Even with the lower price, the selection of desserts was fine; the apple crisp, bread pudding and chocolate cake are the best.

Thanksgiving Buffet is an annual tradition for my daughter and I and its the best! 30.00 per person, no cooking no mess no hassle no pressure. Love

Willy and Joses: Very very poor food. The order was all messed up. Ordered Chicken and got beef. The taste was awful. The meal was way overly priced when it is the size of a kids meal. Just not a good place at all! Save yourself and stay away!!!

Im not a fan of crab legs but the price was still worth it. Friday Saturday its 40 bc of crab. The rest of the week its 20. The spicy shrimp and rice

I only come here during crab leg nights. The crab is delicious. The mussels, pasta, and pizza were also good. My family said the desserts were also very delicious. Only downside is that it’s pricey, and you can wait a long time standing in line to enter.

Food not good. The crab tasted old. Chinese restaurant was the worst. Desert bar was good but the employees looked like they were not happy. Our waiter was great. $180 plus tip for 4 people was a little high. They have MSG in their food. Couldnt get enough to drink after eating there. Hands swelled and horrible headache. Not ever going back. They should post they have MSG in their food for people who are allergic.

Quality is decreasing but the price isnt. Ive been here several times in the past, and this place usually has an amazing selection. One of the reasons I choose this buffet is that they have a BBQ selection in addition to the other usual choices. But last night the BBQ selection was horrible. They put ribs out there, and they were decent, but the sliced turkey was all kinds of dry and that was it. The other meats were fried shrimp and baked cod. Price was still about $30 per person. Desserts are still super good. The bread pudding is the best Ive found on a buffet. I think if I give this place another chance and the BBQ section doesnt have some brisket on it at least, then Ill be crossing this place off my list completely.

This place is a little impressive. A variety of cuisines to choose from and a desert bar. Alchohol is this place is outrageous.

We enjoyed this place the couple of times that we have been. The first time we went, we did not partake in the crab legs because we didnt have a ton of time, which can be frustrating because if you go on a Friday night, you pay a lot of money for crab legs, whether you want them or not! There were a lot of options in every type of food. Yummy desserts, sugar free options. This time we did crab and it was so yummy! Be sure to show military ID if you have one to save a bit of money! Service was good and our server was on top of things.

Bit on the expensive side, since they had a crab leg night and you cant opt out of that so I ended up paying way more than I thought. Incredible selection though. Interior is really nice with the different shops for each style of food. Waiter was great too

One of my favorite buffets in town. The casino is just such a beautiful place in general!Friday and Saturday they have crab legs and steak.Sunday night is prime rib and shrimp night.No matter what night you choose to go their wide variety of very expertly cooked food with have you endlessly stuffing your face!They also serve bottled beer and select wines from liberty Creek.

For $40/person I expect good crab legs. Tonight, they were over cooked and difficult to get out of the shell. The size of the crab legs were smaller than in the past. Good, but not great like it had been in the past.

Ameristars The Buffet is our favorite casino place to eat. The food is always fresh and the service always friendly. Weve been to all the others and feel they they dont have the variety or value for the money that Ameristar has.

I enjoy coming here to the buffet at the Ameristar on Thursday its roll back Thursday! okay I got my military discount for $14 but still I dont know best time to come as the snow crab legs theyre not king crab legs. snow crab legs much better much sweeter and all you have to do is eat that long part I guess should call the the shank large part of the leg, they dont want you to be eating the skinny part. I think they donate those.Which is pretty nice them!Ameristar buffet is one of the best in the United States even better than Las Vegas!the real and the Golden Nugget puts on a pretty decent buffet but thats about the only good buffets in Las Vegas so I rate this Ameristar buffet 10 Stars if I could!

I should have given more context to my review. So for starters. Realized while looking for prices on the website etc that they closed at 9 PM. Not a big deal here. We confirmed we could eat as long as buffet still had food on it. They would start tear down at 9 PM. We had 2 parties and the server couldnt quite understand we had 3 drinks where one person wanted a sweet tea other person un sweet. That took a bit. Although the Crab dinner is listed on the site now. It was not listed the day of the visit and we were a bit shocked by the sudden increase in cost. Aside from the crab. It seemed to be a Chicken Chicken Chicken kind of night with a smidgen of turkey sprinkled in.Previous Visits were much better. We just now know to avoid Friday and Saturday dinner buffet and should not go so close to close.

Food was horrible, went for Mothers day buffet. They advertised prime rib and shrimp. They had a large selection of food, but by the time I kept tasting different foods to find something edible, I was full. The salmon was dry, the shrimp was picked out of the dishes, and the prime rib was sliced so thin it was only a sliver of meat. The second attempt at the prime rib yielded 85% fat and no flavor. The soul food was bland and the Asian cuisine was old and unappealing. Dry pizza, old crusty eggplant, and fresh out of the box desserts (yuk.) When I told the server who was the only good thing I encountered besides the soda, she told me to complain on the survey and that it might help. I will never return to this place again. PERIOD

For $15.99 for lunch on a weekday, I guess I expected more. The evening Buffet is only $4 more. Last time I had their evening buffet, there was at least some steak or shrimp or something special on it for the $19.99 price tag. There was nothing special on the buffet that would justify the price difference between this buffet and Golden Corral. Maybe they feel they have a captive audience.

This place has went down, the food quality is down. The food is god awful. And its to high. Thats my opinion.

Best Crab legs in town Alert , all-you-can-eat too!!! Fresh, thick, juicy!!! Love they way these guys serve beer too- in the ice bucket. Good Service, dlfriendly staff, awesome deserts.There always a line when when we go there, so make sure you are in no rush. Employees seem to do their best to make sure it moves quickly, but lot of people there usually! It is also not cheap, but once again- best crab legs in town

Well, Im not a picky eater, and on occasion can nearly eat my weight in food. So we make an annual event out of this with my sons team. They have a nice array of foods, from Chinese, to Italian, to traditional America fried chicken, prime rib, and fish. Plus they have the standard desserts and salad bar.While they have a LOT of things, I dont know that there was anything necessarily notable from a taste or quality perspective. Like any buffet place, I dont think you get the best quality of meat, but if you are cool with that and the $20 price tag, you are good to go.I will bump this from a 3 to 4 based on desserts. They have a number of items that are unique from other buffets. The kids raved about some kind of chocolate caramel mousse. They even had options between sugar free and regular apple pie, which I found to be a nice touch. Even had several cheesecakes.What I liked most: baked and fried chicken, fried riceWhat was disappointing: baked fish, ribs, no ice cream (broken)

They are closed on Mondays &Tuesdays and wednesday &Thursday the food choices suck no shrimp of any kind food choices are not very good.Then Friday & Saturday its a whole different story plenty of sea food and more of a variety of better food to choose ...

Ameristar has the best casino lunch & dinner buffet in Kansas City. Asian sweet spicy wings, pot stickers. & Pho Soups ... Great Kansas City beef & pork choices ... good Seafood choices ... full desert island.

Very good but, just feels a little like golden corrall.

They have a variety of food selections and I have been there previously where the food selection had been better. We went late on a Sunday and it was an hour before they close so the selection was not as great but what I had was good and they still had someone going around checking the temperature of the food and inspecting to make sure what was out was not old.

Still not open, wont be for a while.
