Great trails and very clean. Many things to do for those that are active and those who just enjoy the outdoors.

Took my son here to eat our lunch we picked up in a drive thru. We spent half a day walking the trails. The paths were clean, well marked, and nicely shaded.

This trail/playground/baseball park is greatly maintained. Great trails to walk with the kids before you let them loose upon one of two playgrounds. Theyve place the baseball fields in a great spot so that a kid on the playground can still be seen while their other child is doing the sports!

Onslow County parks are a great asset to the people, especially families. My wife and I visit all of them to picnic and hike the many trails. Our favorite hiking trail is in the park on the north side of Jacksonville en route to New Bern.

Onslow County Park was the site of the Car and Bike show for 26 and 27 July 2019 display of vehicles. My sons and I had a blast and enjoyed the music and vehicles on display.

Very welcoming. Plenty of space and activities for kids. Very clean.

The peaceful serenity on the nature walk is definitely worth a visit. There are 2 playgrounds and scenic picnic table areas with gazebos and BBQ grills

My favorite park in the area to go and get a plyometric workout in! Great nature trail for running , as well as different workouts and equipment to utilize along the trails. Definitely a peaceful place to visit!

The reason I have a less than perfect rating is because there is not a dog park available. They have great paths to walk your dog but it would be nice to be able to sit down and watch them interact and run with other animals. My suggestion is to set up an area that would be appropriate and at least partly shady. I have been to parks that have a fence down the middle to separate the large dogs from the small which is great. Also, the tennis courts are in sad shape. It would be nice to have them resurfaced. Great playground and plenty of space to hold events which they do quite often.

This park has tennis, basketball, volleyball, baseball fields, trails, picnic areas with game boards, pavilion with BBQ pit and great playground, all well-kept.

I was shocked at how awesome this park was. Its equipment is modern and the children absolutely love it. For adults, there are also some exercise equipment as well. Its pretty neat, especially for a Sunday outing with the family. You and your children will love it.

Had a great time and every year, they host fireworks on July 4th

We had a cute engagement session at this park and there was plenty of trails, trees and places to take photos. Great for outdoorsy couples!

Both the old and new playgrounds are God for the kiddos. Theres also a walking/biking trail with exercise machines along the route. Good for an afternoon picnic, then playing on the play ground before finishing it off with a lovely walk. Bring bug spray for the walk.

Great park 2 parks, beautiful IPicnic with grills to have a cookout. Volleyball court shuffleboard baseball field two two parks. Lots of fun

This is my third favorite Onslow County park, after #1 Swansboro and #2 Wilson Bay.There is lots of room, plenty of shade, nice parking.There are several playgrounds both new and old, and quite a few pavilions with water, power, and restrooms.However, it floods very fast in a rain.

We went here to kill some time cause we had some time to kill. The place seemed huge and well kept. There were people raking pine needles and picking up pine cones and garbage. The bathroom was cleaned and smelled fragrant. There was a pavilion where you could throw a get together and some cool paths. I liked my visit and I plan on going again sometime.

Shaded fitness trail, short nature hike, ball fields, clean bathrooms. Nice variety of play areas. Truly something for the entire family here!

Good place to Have family events...

Im a delivery driver and had a run that was delivered here. Though I was only there for a few minutes, the natural beauty of the park and its surroundings were breathtaking. The air was fresh and crisp and seeing the baseball teams having a blast playing together reminded me of my younger days. It brought a smile to my face and gave me a chance to reminisce of better days.

Nice park. Has 2 separate playgrounds for kids and nice trails for walking, running with your dog etc.

One of the best parks in Jacksonville. Its for all ages with walking trails that give you good information on the NC trees in the area. They also have a wheelchair swing if needed and thats awesoe.

We were visiting in town and just did a google search to find a park, we found a treasure! Despite it being a super hot NC summer, we had a blast. This place had a zip line swing, cool tank to sit in, slides, swings and lots of sitting area in the shade. I definitely recommend this park!

Loved the trail with workouts throughout. Has nice swings and play areas for kids of all ages.

Great park with festivals

Clean. Amazing.

Would not recommend the summer youth program. my daughter was bullied everyday to the point of begging no longer to go. the staff didnt step in or offer assistance when she asked for help. They do not offer any types of refunds unless they can fill your spot. Seems to be nothing but about money.

Take my son there all the time and we never have a dull moment. Its fun and easy to get too.

The Crab and Seafood Festival was here. Great venue but the festival lacked a lot of planning.

Lovely place to exercise. Has 3 tennis courts, (only a few fuctional) two 2 basketball courts , a huge field for soccer/American football along with several baseball fields. Great trail that goes along the whole park with fitness equipment along it. In great condition despite Hurricane Florence. I greatly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Exceeded my expectationsI really enjoyed myself with my family. Great park activities kept the kids (including myself) entertained the entire time. The playground is expansive and the firld(s) are huge as well for plenty of running. Definitely recommend to others in the area with children.

Nice trees for shade so Im able to walk dog without getting burnt by the sun. Park provides poop bags so you can clean up after your pet.

The park is lovely and always open with playgrounds, open grassy areas, jogging trail, and picnic areas. There are tennis and basketball court. These are in terrible condition and have been for a couple of years. Of the 4 tennis courts, only two are playable, often the nets need adjusting and are covered in pinestraw and leaves. We are tennis players and we bring our own blower and pliers. Of the basketball courts 1 was completely redone approx 2 years ago. The 2nd has been blacktopped in the last year, but has not been resurfaced. Onslow County seems not to care much about recreation so no funds.

GREAT park with lots of amenities: Modern play equipment, Liberty swing(ADA), ball fields, tennis & bball courts, nature trail, picnic tables, and exercise equipment.

What a fun place to bring the kids! All the Park toys were perfect and clean and in excellent condition! The entire experience was well worth the visit! This is a secret Onslow is keeping from the public. They should let everyone know this is here!!!

It is one of the only playgrounds that has the rubber turf so no sand or mulch to clean off the kids. It has a handicap area and a nice covered picnic area too. All in all a well rounded place to let the little ones run off their energy. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it isnt fenced in, I like the extra security of a fence.

Great park, several baseball fields, a tennis court that have two courts. Even 4 basketball courts. Safe quiet and family oriented.

Has something for everyone. Baseball, walking trails, basketball, great new playground with handicap equipment. There are events scheduled throughout the spring and summer. Places with picnic tables and grills. Great place to spend time with family.

Kids love this park.

I used to love this park, but the director that coordinates the Saturday morning Zumba classes ruined it for me. She treated our instructor poorly, missed meetings and tried to make us sign up and pay in advance for classes in order to attend. Its Saturday morning Zumba, not the SATs. Julianas classes were a great way to start a weekend but whoever this new coordinator is has no respect for the people attending classes or the instructors so we no longer have those classes. She lost the park 2 stars because otherwise I like it there.

Their running trail is fun

A lot to do there. The nature and bike trail are enjoyable and also benefit the loyal Pokemon Go fans with 3 gyms and a mass of pokestops along the way. Great for parties and outdoor sporting activities in general.

Great community! Great people! Great environment ! This park is awesome and so is the people who are apart of it! The best Jville events are hosted here!

Nice place, i walk the trails

Sun causes some play equipment to be a bit hot for lil ones.

This park has a wonderful nature trail and about 8/10ths of a mile loop around the entire park that is perfect for a walk or workout jog. Pet friendly, I took my two dogs there and the trail has stations to clean up after your pet if needed. They dont have any water fountains that still work so bring enough water for yourself and pets if its hot out!
