This magnificent sunset along the banks of the St. Johns River was the highlight of my evening after two and a half days of nonstop rain. One of my favorite things about this place are the endless number of spots you can stop to take pictures as you make your way along the trail or walk along the shoreline towards the end of the pier.

Ive been going to this park for months now and its great. Has a nice pier after going down an amazing trail, nice tennis courts, has a golf course, and a very well maintained set of soccer fields. There isnt any trash but theres tons of feces everywhere! The attractions are well cleaned but the walkways before the trail are covered in feces. Theres also no basketball court, well there is a mobile goal like the ones you see in a driveway or street. The problem is this goal is on a hill in the parking lot against the guard rails. Like have fun playing 1/4 court basketball because there is no right side, if you miss the goal then you better sprint to the ball because its rolling straight to a car downhill in the parking lot. There is an open cement section thats court length and has no poles coming out of it. I checked it out and its covered in feces, like a litter box it was everywhere. It seems the park thought about putting in a basketball goal in the court but suddenly decided not to after the concrete was finished. The portable goal they do have has an indent in the rim, like someone put the goal down and then sat on the backboard. Great park for everything but basketball. Theyll probably clean it soon hopefully. Once again this park is great and has everything else.

In the over a decade that Ive lived here in Arlington I hadnt know about this park...at all. It turned out to B a great little treat. Its right on the river next to a boat ramp. Its behind a community center that is NOT open to the public from what Ive been told BUT the public pool attached to it is...I dont know that officially tho. The park is open to the public & a nice park it is. It has quite a few areas of play that enclosed in a small, semi-fenced in area right on the rivers edge. There are also several picnic tables under a gazebo. There is a parking area & a circle drop off point. I didnt notice, Im sorry to say, the bathroom situation. 1 thing that I will warn patrons w/children about is that the pier that is attached to the park has an open side to it meaning 1 side has guard railings of some kind to keep people from falling in to the river...the other side has none. I dont know why that is but I would HIGHLY advise holding childrens hands & NOT letting them run around while on the pier. Other then that...a great park!!!

The park is big, with a 9 hole golf course, soccer fields, and more. You can walk (or drive) to the St. Johns River; where theres a newly fixed boardwalk. Thats a lot of fun for the family. The playground itself is small, and over all the park just feels neglected. Its sad really because it could be a great place.

There are paved trails and unpaved trails that meander accross the landscape. The paved trails, at last part of them, used to be the cart path for the golf fairways.Currently there is a community center, restrooms, a playground, tennis courts and football/futbol fields all at the park. The first trail you meet on the way in parallels a handful of old fairways and is paved. It culminates in a fishing pier. There is a boardwalk that follows the river and eventually connects to the neighboring Lions Club Park, however, it was damged by either hurrican Matthew or Irma, or both and is closed off, hopefully only temporarily. Several ponds and marsh areas wind there way alongside the paths. Game trails can be spotted throughout.

Blue Cypress Park was Awesome! A good friend of mine asked Me to go fishing with him today, & I almost said No! Ha! (This guy always goes to the beach to fish. I LOVE the beach, yet I certainly wasnt in the mood to go there today!) He asked Me if I knew of any good places to go to that wouldnt be very crowded. After telling him about Blue Cypress Park, he was flying to Me! After grabbing his fishing gear, I told him where to go, & it was Great!!! This place is right next to an apartment complex I lived in years ago, & its right next to Jacksonville University!!! It has large soccer fields, Good golf practice area, a pretty nice 9-hole golf course, a really nice hiking trail (short, yet good & beautiful walking trail truly,) & very nice fishing areas! Great little BBQ/Grilling areas around it with tables as well! All right along the Beautiful St Johns River!!! Everyone, swing over to it, & Everybody will have a Great time!!! Yall Enjoy It!!!William T

Well fenced from the public road, fishing area available, facilitys for public use are available, lots of room to walk and run, very clean, tons of parking. I believe the ducks and geese know they have right of way. Be careful entering and leaving enterence to the main road, traffic is a safety hazard!

It has walking trails, is actually a golf course , has tennis courts. its a great place for beginners to come and mess around with golfing. There are great paved walking trails, also unpaved that scurt around the St. Johns River. a fishing pier and kayak launch. Park for kids to play, open fields for sporting activities. My favorite park as a parent/ couple. My fiance and I walk around the small lake to see the cranes/ducks. There are a couple of picnic benches near the kids park to have a snack and my toddler loves the slides. Its normally not full and sometimes youll see people training or bigger kids playing but its got a good vibe. The fishing dock is nice too, its a bit to walk but a quick drive, its a pier I often see people fishing at. Its also close to a library so thats fun

The City of Jacksonville is too piss poor to properly maintain waterfront parks. Over 18 months after Hurricane Irma, not one pier, boardwalk, or dock has been repaired, AT ALL! But they can spend millions of dollars planting unnecessary palm trees along roads in wealthy neighborhoods.Secondly, if they quit waisting money on cheap contractors throwing up cheap, poorly constructed, wood boardwalks and docks and start using stronger, more durable concrete, aluminum, and composite materials, they would not have to keep replacing entire structures EVERY TIME a storm blows harder than 70 mph!We need smarter and less corrupt government officials in Jacksonville and smarter citizens who actually care enough to hold them accountable!

A beautiful park. Kept mostly free of litter and garbage. It has lots of sports areas like tennis, soccer, and basketball. Also a few fishing spots, piers, and I saw at least 1 boat launch, but there might be more boat launches in the park. Theres also a lot of beautiful walking trails, and places to sit and watch the sunset on the river. 1 of my favorite things to see out here is the Ft. Caroline pod of dolphins that come stay in this part of the St. Johns river. The pod usually has between 25-50 dolphins. Its fun to watch them play in the river, especially when they have their adorable babies with them. If you rent a kayak/canoe its fun to go on the river right there. The dolphins come right up to the canoe and look you right in the eye barely 2 feet from the kayak. Close enough to reach out and pet their head if they let you. Theyve dont let you touch them, as they are wild dolphins, and are very protective of their babies. Stay far away from the babies, and only visit with the adult dolphins. They will duck under, if you try to pet them, but pop back up and continue watching you curiously. They are friendly and seem to really like it if you talk or sing to them. Its an amazing and soul fulfilling experience to look a wild dolphin in the eyes. They have very big, beautiful, soulful, deep, brown eyes.
