This winery is amazing! The couple that runs it go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing experience. The grape vines and flowers are gorgeous. This place is such a gem.

We had our wedding and reception here. It was perfect. It’s a beautiful location, great wine, and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. They went out of their way to make our day extra special. Highly recommend for a wedding, any party or event, or just to hang out and drink wine.

This winery has a wine for everyone. My wife likes sweet wines and I like dry and we both loved this place. The owners are polite and helpful. The downstairs is a nice bridal sweet and the upstairs is a nice open banquet room.

Nice place. Stopped for wine tasting was not impressed. Asked the lady about a wine, she said was fruity which the description said. Description of wines listed on tasting list didnt say much about type of grapes used.Example:     Sabrevois,  off-dry red features a rich, fruity flavorLady said wine was very fruity but did not give any more information on it as to what kind of fruit, etc. Didnt either know about the wines or know how to explain the wines. Would not recommend stopping for a tasting.

I would like to give Annelise Winery a higher rating, but I just cant and the rating might be more of my preference in wine than anything else. A question often asked is Whats the best wine? The answer is The one you like.I am not a fan of overly sweet wines but that is the way the wine samples I tried impressed me. We choose the least sweet wine.Our hostess was very pleasant and very generous with the samples. And the winery itself appears to be a nice place for a relaxing day enjoying the landscape.Bottom line is this: Support the home team. Drink Iowa wine.

I have been to this place multiple times! From the very first day of tasting, events friends and I attended, to a quick drive by to run in and grab some more tasty wine...this is the place to be! The location is warm and inviting. The wine is cold and delicious! The owners deserve a round of applause for creating a place that everyone can enjoy. Whether you are dressed up or dressed down you feel welcomed!

Annelise Winery is awesome! We recently hosted a bridal shower for my soon to be sister-in-law at Annelise Winery and it couldn’t have been better. Not only was David extremely helpful in lining things up beforehand but he had the room set up exactly as we needed it the day of and was prompt too. He also had 2 other events starting at the same time of our shower and he was calm, helpful and extremely attentive to our needs. The facilities were very clean, the staff was knowledgeable and the wines were excellent! It was my first time at Annelise and I absolutely will be going back and telling my friends too. A great venue with delicious wines!

We had my daughter and new son in-laws Wedding reception this weekend. Annelise Winery was a beautiful venue. Plenty of space, and the owners worked hard to ensure the evening went off without a hitch. Cost was very reasonable. I’d highly recommend this to anyone wanting a upscale event.

David is THE BEST! My husband and I had our wedding at Annelise Winery and it was the best decision we made. David was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond our expectations. He was super helpful and always made us feel at home. The winery is beautiful and the wine is delicious. I can’t say enough positive things about Annelise Winery!

We had our son’s wedding here this weekend. Dave the owner has bent over backwards to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. The facility is wonderful, and many of our guests commented that they felt like they were in a cozy, Connecticut winery. We loved the wine, the owners, and the experience. Our son and new daughter loved it also. Annelese is family ran, and Dave will love to tell you about his wines while you sample them. We completely recommend the place for events, and also just stopping in for a tasting.

We recently had my daughters bridal shower at the winerys barn venue. It was a rustic, clean, and beautiful space with plenty of room to host a large group. The owners were unbelievably accommodating and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Annelise Winery to anyone looking to host an event that will impress guests without any of the stress or high cost that you may find at other venues.

We had a wedding reception here last night. It was a terrible place and I wouldnt ever recommend it, especially for the price! We had to pay for two days so we could decorate it a two hours the night before. Plus they wouldnt let us bring any type of drink while we were decorating the night before. As we are decorating, the Owner is following us around looking and investigating all of it. During the wedding reception, he has his long black haired dog, walking around everyone while we have white tablecloths and decorations up. While the nieces were playing with the dog and chasing it he told them to leave the dog and not to chase it. Im sorry, but we payed $3500 a day to celebrate and not put up with the dog or this mans action. If I could give less than one star I would. DONT USE THIS PLACE!!

Great winery. It was really nice of them to hold this event for the Rotarians.

The place itself was nice. The owner followed EVERYONE around the whole time, watching every move that was made. The facility was over come with gnats the day before the wedding, but he had blamed the problem on our party!! Cleaning is up to party, they do not detail clean in between. Parking is horrible! Too much money for facility use when YOU have to do all the work! Not a good place for your SPECIAL day. To much stress. We had the place until midnight but decided to clean up and leave ASAP!

What a gem!!! The owners Heidi and Dave Klood are so accommodating and went above and beyond to make our special occasion spectacular. We had know idea they had so much to offer. A renovated barn with rustic charm. A beautiful Hall and reception area in the winery itself. Beautiful decking overlooking gardens and a gorgeous vineyard. And thats not all. Downstairs is a lovely bridal suite. Yes, even the groom has a suite with a shower to boot. The large party room looks out onto a beautiful patio. Great for a barbecue, family reunion, rehearsal dinner, birthday parties and graduation partys. So many options to choose from. We had our sons graduation party here. We had the use of a full kitchen. The price was almost a steal. My favorite part?? The wine, it is truly delicious. If you want a place that is warm and welcoming, and full of charm. Then Annelise Winery is the place.

We were driving through on HWY 92 and saw this winery. It was awesome and the owners were so nice and gracious. Definitely recommend if you want a home-town Iowa feel and treatment. Cant beat it!

I dont always like local wines, but these are very good. They have a wide variety and unique flavors. The countryside is beautiful.

Family owned winery with some fantastic wine. All their wine is good, but I highly recommend trying their blueberry wine.

Great place! Tons of venue space

This place is awesome! Dave(owner) is great and takes amazing care of us when we go. We frequent here often even though its 45 mins from home. We just cant get a better experience at any other wineries in the Des Moines/Indianola area. PLUS their wine is hands down the best local wine. You may hear about others having great wine but Annelise has the best variety, and an excellent rotation of flavors. We will continue to go back over and over.
