Was jere way to late in the year. Didnt see a single butterfly. Was my fault though. Hope to visit again. As they have a lot of plants that would attract them.

The butterfly house held colorful butterfly in a large enclosure. One big room with lots of native habitat. Did someone say turtles too?

The butterfly house was beautiful and well maintained but there were not many butterflies to see.

Had a great day with mom surrounded by the beauty of Botanical Gardens. The butterflies were flying all around us. Loved the titles too. Mom enjoyed the scenery.

My first time going and it was amazing! The guide was very knowledgeable.

Exceptional place to visit. Layout is very nice. Very good for kids. Also has a place in the building for birthday parties.

Small and not a very exotic variety of butterflies but well worth the stop when combined with the rest of the garden

Always loved the place... Watch for the wasps-- there a few lurking. But there were plenty of critters (turtles, butterflies etc)One day I hope to spot the miniture quail used for pest control. (Ants were a bit out of control)Lovely place.Great for kids!

Fun little day trip.

Take your time, read, and learn while enjoying the butterflies. As you can see from the photos, the Purdy Butterfly House is a nice attraction, and kids will be fascinated.

Great place for a family outing if you love nature like we do. This isnt just something to walk through and look at, but can teach you about the different variations of butterflies and give you a more in depth knowledge of them. Gorgeous place.

Very nice facility with lots of butterflies and beautiful landscaping. Very educational and good for families.

Such an amazing experience! From the butterflies, to the turtles. The relaxing waterfall bench and the beautiful flora. This was above and beyond my favorite part of my time in the gardens. Make sure to slow down and enjoy your time in the butterfly house, and remember that the butterflies love sweat, and you could experience a tickle from one landing one you if you are still and calm.

A most beautiful experience with dozens of gorgeous butterflies. We got to see several females laying eggs, and even saw a teeny tiny newly hatched caterpillar. Thank you Amanda for all you do!

The flowers are beautiful and the critters you can see there are just too cool. It is a wonderful place to explore with children or as an adult!

Nice screened exhibit. So many butterflies. Walking path throughout keeps you close to all the action. Staircase takes you to birdseye overhead view. Gorgeous.

Okay, was not happy. They claimed they released sever butterflies that day. I didnt hardly see any. If you want a better experience go to the Chattanooga aquarium.

This is a wonderful place to sit and relax with a bunch of butterflies. Its very pretty and keep your eyes out in the water to see some turtles. I would recommend visiting later in the day though as school groups do crowd it making photos hard.

A gorgeous, crucial place to visit in the Botanical Gardens! Theres lots of neat informational displays in front, and the butterfly house itself is just awesome to experience. Its bigger than youd think, with butterflies, bees (sometimes), turtles, frogs and the occassional other reptile on display.A must-see for any visit--local or tourist.

Cool room. Great for kids who dont mind learning and wonderful for adults. I dont really recommend it for kids who need to be hands on to be entertained because they cant really touch anything here.

This is one of our favorite places at the gardens! The butterflies are beautiful and it is amazing being surrounded by them! There are also some friendly turtles! :)

Beautiful and worth the money for sure

The butterfly house is so much fun. There are butterflies, gardens, water with rocks and turtles. There is a nice brick path to follow around the house and an upstairs observation area. There are snakes to observe in a cage and a bear to hug in the lobby. Also you will find restrooms and water fountain.

This is on my list of happy places!

Beautiful! During peak season its absolutely magical! My kids love it as much as I do, especially discovering the turtles and other critters hidden around.

This butterfly house is great! there is a stream that runs through it where you can see turtles up close, there is a rotating cast of animals you can observe, and the butterflies are everywhere!
