I am obviously not a runner. However my son enjoys running and does cross country. His school competed in The Southern Showcase at this location. He really enjoyed the course.I really enjoyed how nicely laid out the course is. As a parent you can easily move from section to section to cheer on the runners.I think this was an old golf course. So you can envision the terrain and elevation changes. The grounds are extremely well kept and maintained. If you just want to have a peaceful run or just walk through the grass to clear your mind this is an excellent location for both.

This is basically a high school cross country course that goes around the edge of a golf course. It’s mostly grass with some regions of dirt trail. At times it can be difficult to find where the route is supposed to go. I preferred running elsewhere in Huntsville

It has potential, but needs work. Im not a local and maybe they know it well, but there were too many unclear points along the way. They make sense now, but not for a first timer. This is clearly a TRAIL running experience, not a path, and that isnt clear from the description.

New to Huntsville and looking for a place to run, I drove here. Found the sign, but no trail. Ran the parking lot since I was there. Lots of construction.

Very unkept, very hard to find trail, could only find the 1/4 mile marker and that’s it, highly not recommend

Great little run to do in under 30 minutes. Trail begins north of the tennis courts and baseball diamonds. Mostly flat with some short, small hills.

Is still under construction so parts are closed, but you can still run and turn around at the half mile marker.

If I could give it a ZERO I would. Worst run ever. They dont mention the stench of the landfill that this trail surrounds, or the fact that the trail is 100% unkept and covered in poison ivy. It hadnt rained for 2 days prior to our run yet it was a slippery muddy mess. The bugs were so bad we had to cover our faces to avoid breathing them in. My husbands neon jersery was black from the swarming bugs. Of course I did make a record on my run time trying to get the hell out of there.NOTE: We frequently run rugged trails @ Landtrust, and as regular Spartan racers we are always looking for challenges, but this is not a challenge, it is a nighmare.
