Excellent trail for hiking with the family. I am 100% VA Disabled and managed to hike the 2.4 mile round trip to the falls and back no problem. A few places are a little steep, but nothing horrendous. The cave just past the falls was actually more interesting to me. An overhang where Native American hunters used to camp. Really interesting.

Absolutely gorgeous. If you are bringing a small dog you’re gonna wanna carry them for the last like 15 feet of the hike but aside from that it’s great and easy going.

This place is a hidden gem, with well marked paths, plenty of parking, beautiful wildlife and gorgeous views. While it isnt well advertised it has several offshoot trails to give you many hours of hiking and picture opportunities. We flushed up 8 deer and saw an entire family of baby armadillos which, strangely enough were cute. They were not used to humans and walked up to us within a foot and just checked us out (got great video from that). Try this place, you wont be disappointed.

Easy, quiet hike. Trail is well-traveled but not crowded.Falls was slow for me, but that could change after a rain.

Peaceful part of The Land Trust that we discovered today. Fairly easy fir a while...the it became moderate to hard...for my old knee anyway. Absolutely beautiful.

Nice easy hike to a couple of waterfalls and rock overhangs. Caution should be taken if crossing in front of the first waterfall to get to the second. There are plenty of large stable rock to walk over if the water level is not too high.

Really fun hike to some nice waterfalls. The main train is well maintained and mostly level. There are some side trail but could not find them on the map and appeared to be in progress so we stuck to the main path.

Great short local day hike. Nice scenery along the ridge; Creek flows below, there are a few small falls along the way. Open cavern is pretty neat as well. Great place for those wanting to get out and explore a little.

It was a great hike! Fairly easy and a great view. It has rained for the past two days so the water was really flowing which was great. My 10 year old and I had a great time. Shes looking forward to going back and trying the Ranger Trail next week.

A beautiful and calming pause, mid-hike. The trails in this area are excellent, and finding little gems like this along the way really is a bonus! Apparently Cherokee hunting parties would use this location as a resting/camping spot.

Nice hike. The Alum Hollow Trail is pretty easy, the Ranger Trail is very rocky.

Br

A flat-topped plateau with about 3 dips into slippery streams followed by a descent into a valley with an overhang and another stream with a medium sized waterfall. There is a treacherous walk down this valley to see the remains of a Jeep left in the middle of the woods. The rocks are very loose and ankle-twisty, so I dont suggest going to get a close-up of the Jeep at the bottom of the hill unless you have serious boots on. The overlooks on the plateau are peaceful and worth it

Beautiful! The fish are super best to look at. The paths are pretty. The area across the street could be wheelchair stroller friendly, and a small playground would be great. The kids loved feeding the fish and the water.

HEADS UP THE MOSQUITOES ARE TERRIBLE! Be prepared with the bug spray. I got bit 11 times in less than one hour.Gorgeous trail though! Would do again with adequate bugspray. Make sure you go after a heavy rainfall, because the waterfall was non-existent when I went this week.

Easy trail, a few creek hops, but those will be gone soon. Want to come back in 2-4 weeks for more wildflowers, but by then trees will leaf out and not so many rock outcroppings & one creek will be visible. Summer, will I be walking a dry creek bed? Well see! Could see a tiny slice of Tennessee River on upper part of trail. At larger waterfall, continue on trail to left for Rock Shelter. We did not cross creek, so dont know if other waterfall is accessible.
