I pass it a lot going to the Zoo and finally got around to visiting. Parking costs on weekdays, but is free on the weekends. And with COVID, there wasnt too much difficulty finding parking.Pack a picnic and walk around this park for a while. I especially liked the Friendship Pavilion which was made and built by the Chinese government.

This place is by far so beautiful. We were going to have our wedding here just because of the gorgeous view but after finding out all the stuff we would have to rent and things due to it not being an all inclusive venue it just turn out to not be for us. So we just opted to take engagement pictures there instead.

This is one of my favorite parks in Houston. I love seeing the variety of greenery, herbs, fruits and vegetables that can grow in the Houston climate and the park is always clean and well maintained. There are restrooms available and plenty of free parking! Its a great opportunity to get your kids out in nature and engaged with their surroundings. My one complaint is that the garden mound that you can walk up is closed half the time I try to visit.

Wide open space for picnics and soaking up the sun. This place is nice to come with friends/family or if you want a calm walk by yourself. Also there are enough places within the park that are private. I recomend bringing something to drink on a sunny day, there is much shade but its Houston! You know.

Got me out here singing aladdin Whole new world In this piece. This park is so eco-friendly that when I started shedding tears from the beauty of it, a guy jumped out of the bushes with a watering jug, caught the tears before they hit the ground like OBJ snatching a one handed TD and used them to water the plants. Amazing.

Always love coming here. COVID-19 updates I noticed (as of Oct. 4): restrooms are not open, trashcans are blocked, the spiral walk up the waterfall is closed off, and they kick you out 10 minutes before closing lol (7 pm for the fall). No biggie though, these times are tough, Im glad theyre open at all! Scenery is still beautiful, PoGo stops still poppin! Plenty of grass to picnic on.

This is an absolutely beautiful green space near the med center and museums. Its a great place to sit and enjoy whatever good weather Houston gets. Parking is much better than it used to be, but its still gets full so metered parking on the road is usually necessary on weekends, holidays, or during park events. There is no super close food (Bodegas is a blockish away) so pack a picnic and maybe bully your favorite food truck into making routine stops.

Lovely well maintained gardens laid out along a central man made lagoon with some interesting attractions. At one end is spiral walkway up to a viewpoint on a little man made hill, with a beautiful cascading waterfall down the side. Take a photo at the bottom of the waterfall. At the other end is a plaza with outdoor tables and probably a restaurant or concession, I am not certain. There are hidden side excursions, to a rose garden, to a herb garden, to a vegetable garden, so it is fun to discover and explore. Great for families with active kids. Stroller friendly with wide sidewalks. Located just across from the Museum of Natural Science.
