Really cool! Definitely would go back. Had a great time at the exhibits. When you go please note the butterfly exhibit and the interactive exhibits are not open. Also some of the other exhibits are closed as well. Overall was a nice time. With a lot of things being closed $40 was not a fair price for two adults. Also the other extra options were kind of pricey. Good note is they do offer discounts for students, must bring a valid ID.

We were visiting from out of state and decided that we had to check out this staple in Houston. Despite COVID (September 2020), we were able to enjoy the exhibits. The greeter was very pleasant and the ticket agent was nice. We went on a Sunday and people were around but it wasn’t congested. We were able to social distance and take great photos. If you’re in town, I recommend that you check it out.

A well curated museum in Houstons Museum District. A good selection of exhibits with the paleontology wing a must see gem for anyone interested in fossils or geology. The butterfly exhibit is fascinating- be sure to make sure you dont have any stowaways. The minerals and gems are gorgeous.Parking is available in the garage for a hefty fee, or you can park nearby and walk. Admission is a bit pricey, especially for a larger group or with traveling exhibit or planetarium add ons.All in all, a great museum and well worth the visit.

I went here once as a kid, I have nothing but good memories. It was amazing. There were robots, VR, a T-rex, a piece of the moon, gems, mummies, and a bathroom that had 2 mirrors facing each other. As always this place never disappoints. So many exhibits in one building. Lots of traveling exhibits that are a extra fee. The permanent exhibits are awesome . Four floors of fun for the whole family. From Dinosaurs to beautiful gems from around the world , Animals of the world are so life like . The energy exhibit is great ! Very interactive and informative fir our area. The sea shells are crazy cool. Guaranteed to see something you will never see again. The vault is stunning! Filled with huge carrot stones and jewelry.Great bang for your buck but parking in the garage is the kicker... $20! That’s insane to me. Any where else is a walk . They do have a snack area in the lobby with the other paid attractions. Very nice gift shop for any souvenirs you may want. You could definitely spend a day here, great on a rainy day.

This place took 2.5 hours to get through. Dont forget to go to the 3rd and 4th floors - not all elevators go to those floors so you may miss them. They have such a huge collection of Eygptian sarcophaguses and mummy remains. I paid extra for the Death by Natural Causes Exhibit - $20 for students. The exhibit was pretty neat, you can all a number and enter in each exhibit number into your phone and itll provide a free audio guide. Parking is expensive though. I used a lot that was a 12-minute walk away to pay a little less. I did this museum and the Fine Arts Museum one after the other.

Museum monitors were extremely rude when asking you to put your mask on between pictures. It lacked anything hands on or interactive - or maybe you had to pay more for that.. I was amazed by the shadow clock outside the building which shows the time and month of the year. We got STUDENT DISCOUNT on the regular $25 tickets by presenting a student id at the ticket counter. There are so many fabulous things in this museum that I cannot put it in words. Anyway let me start with some of the best things I noticed. The first floor has a giant moon and a pendulum showing earth’s rotation. The first floor is further full of fossil of dinosaurs, sea shells, old extinct species, human evolution and more. The second floor has gems, minerals, quartz, and valuables along with wild life recreated. The quartz are imported from all over the world and are truly mesmerizing. You can definitely spend more than few hours on this floor alone. The third floor has ancient Egyptian mummies and their tools, clothing, coffin, etc. This floor also has native American cultural heritage. The fourth floor is a place of scientific miracles. My best things to do here is operate the real robotic arm by shell and travel into space in the spacecraft. Don’t waste your time in the hydraulic fracturing vessel, everyone was bored in it. I wasn’t able to visit the underground floor which supposedly have Chemistry in action.Overall an awesome experience, I would definitely Recommend everyone to go here and spend the whole day exploring if you can. Take at least 3 hours to explore things in a regular manner.
