Super safe with police department in park. Everything is closed for kids playgrounds and water fountains . Huge sections to make parties are also close because of covid-19 . So take plenty of drinks spead out picnic tables are available some in shade also barbecue pits available. The reason why I put 5 stars is bc we could bike ride all around park safely and we enjoyed the beautiful lake! Also felt good knowing they are taking virus seriously.

Plenty of small medium and large size play areas spaced out pretty good especially with the coronavirus stuff. Im just glad the park is back open its always very well manicured and taken care of and I just appreciate it being open again

I live on the NW side of Houston and took my wife to Deussen Park for birthday. It is well maintained with plenty of parking between 8-11 am to visit the different areas of the park. The boat launch and dog park were our favorite areas. Good for Pokemon if thats your thing.

I like to go read my bible there. Its a nice park, and also relaxing.

For a nice family outing you cant beat Deussen Park. Theres a nice lake for fishing and plenty of space for for fun activities. I took the family here recently for a random weekend outing and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We plan on making a return trip in the near future!

All the upgrades and fixes theyre doing here are wonderful. I just wish we could take the kids to go play again. And thank you for fixing the launch ramps. They were so slick with all the algae. Now can we put something that keeps people from sliding down just to suggestion theres a lot of kayakers that love this spot.

This was fun as heck. So many things to do, including riding bikes around the park. I even went fishing! Great time to spend with family.

Beautiful park for boating, walking, hiking, and picnicking! Wide open spaces, making it easy for social distancing. Many trails to explore! Within an hours drive from anywhere in Houston. Beautiful lakeside places to stop and picnic. The pavilions are closed to prevent large crowds. Well maintained and with many bathrooms. Didnt use the bathroom to be provide a comment. However, its great to know were never to far from one. Many more trails can be found in the nearby Eisenhower park with easy parking. Great place to spend the day!

Clean and spacious with a nice walking path and water source. My dog had a blast.

I live in the area very close to this park. It is a great recreational oasis for as close as it is to the city. It offers a great amount of playground areas for kids, walking trails, lots of pavillions to hang out or organize parties, plenty of parking space and it has one of the biggest and nicest dog parks in Houston, I’ve met people bringing their dogs here from all over Houston. The park offers a beautiful wide opening to Lake Houston. And above all, it feels safe. I would definitely recommend visiting it at least once.

Great place for outdoor family gatherings. The picturesque view of Lake Houston adds to the feel of getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. My only complaint is that the public restrooms are filthy. Other than that I would highly suggest going especially if you have kids.

This park is beautiful and HUGE. I never realized that something this serene could be so close to Houston.

Great big park for watercrafts and fishing. Really miss the water buffalo from when i use to come as a kid. But my boys really dont get enough of AD park.

Wonderful to get some fresh air with the family, even if the playground equipment is off limits due to the pandemic. It was a little more crowded at times than wed like, but there are still places to get away from those crowds.

Nice place to scape to the nature and enjoy acuatic sports. Good spot to do picnic and barbecue as well.

Plenty of space for social distancing. Nice and shaded in the area we chose near the fishing pier.

This park location has just about everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. They have a body of water next to the park for boats and jet skies!!! They a small pier for fishing. This park is huge, I come to find out that they also have a dog park in which I didnt know because it so big. They have the play ground close right now due to the Covid Pandemic situation but I cant wait for them to open this place up to there full potential. Family and kids would enjoy hanging out at this park. Start a BBQ here there is tons of trees for shade and public grills for use. I definitely recommend this park. For boating- Lots of parking and its convenient to have 2 drops. Several docks are available for people to get on and off the boat easily. The road to the main drop is circular and pretty narrow.For the park- This is a huge park so lots of playgrounds and covered picnic areas. Dog park is also nice. The large size of this place forces you to have to drive if you are visiting several areas.

Nice community park along Lake Houston. If you like walking, there is a 3 mile trail around the perimeter of the park. If you have time and want more of a hike, check out Eisenhower park next door.

Very nice place to relax and have a great time

Today I came this park with 1 hour long trip. It’s was my first time. It’s very big park with big lake. There are a lot of different wild animals. I could not believe I saw male peacock in this park. I spent two hours on fishing here and really enjoy. I like this park very much. I will visit again.

This is a great park. very clean with a lot of facilities for picnicking, fishing and boating. Note as of May 2, 2020 all of the boat ramps, pavilions, play areas, picnic shelters and 90% of the shoreline are blocked off. We went to fish today and were disappointed to find everything locked up. You can walk and some people gathered at a picnic table but if you go to launch a boat or fish from the shoreline you cant. The only accessible area to fish was west of the kayak launch and they werent biting....good luck.

Super fun!!!! Great place to take the boat out. Free parking, and a wide range of grills and gazebos on a first come basis. Bring lots of mosquito repellent, sun screen, sun glasses, cooler to stay hydrated, and lawn chairs. Benches are usually taken especially on holidays. Great place to kayak, or bring the jet skies. Ive seen fishing here ... not too sure if its a catch and throw kind of a deal however youll love this park.

This was my 1st visit here. Really enjoyed the cool breeze coming from the water on that very hot day!! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

This park holds so many childhood memories from when our father would bring us as little kids and the geese would use to chase us. Now I get to enjoy this park with my family.

Every single playground still closed because of covid!!! Its been months!! It should be OUR choice to go or not.

We go every year for Easter. Its clean & very safe. We will be back next year.

I go there to relax and enjoy riding my jet skiing. But as for docking your boat or jetski its not possible anymore. It been under repair for the longest so you cant dock. I find that troubling due to all the state and county taxes I pay or we as the people pay. Hopefully one day in the future it will fixed..

Great place to take a walk with the family or by yourself. Fish right the lake side pier as well as launching your boats onto lake houston. I do believe it is a free boat ramp.

We love coming out here on our boat and party of 5. Never had any issues.

This park is beautiful and has a little of everything and something for everyone!!! So many trails to run and walk on but mostly paved to take bikes too and they are paved. I think we topped out at count playgrounds at 13?! Walking next to the lake, fishing, and seeing the duck pond is always our favorite.

Great bike or walking trails! Its always a family trip coming out here. And with covid happening, Im glad we can still come out as a family

One of my favorite parks. Lots of things to do and its right next to the lake. I come here multiple times per week.

Smooth 3.3 mile track. The water. Tall trees. Bring everyone and everything except drugs, alcohol, and motor vehicles.

Wonderful park!! Dog park is the best I have ever visited. Overall the park has pavilions, clean bathrooms, gazebo, grills for cooking, swing areas, exercise bike and other work out areas. This parks is absolutely beautiful!

Its an absolutely relaxing and peaceful place. You can carry your boat or Jet ski there. Also, you May walk or fish, or make a picnic. There is a big pavillion which allow you a beautiful view of the bay. There are bathrooms and water fountains but you must bring your foods. All is for free

This is a great place to have get togethers. There was plenty of playground equipment for the kids and space to run around in or play games. I was glad that there was several trash receptacles which were not unsightly overflowing. The men & womens bathrooms, however, were nasty. They looked like they had not ever been cleaned.

Wonderful place for kids to play with many different playgrounds, trails for adults to walk and jog, exercise areas, they also have a dog park. Best to go when other kids are out of school so there are other families around and they can make friends. Dont advise going when there isnt anyone else for SAFETY purposes, but if you do be very careful and watch your surroundings.

Great park for kids ️ they have shaded playgrounds and restrooms near play area . Always peaceful I go about 3 times a month during the week days and it’s never over crowded.

I use the paved Walking/Bike paths for exercise and they are well made, wide and recently black topped.Weekends can be busy in the park but mostly around the covered picnic areas. The crowds appear to be mostly family gatherings.If you want time alone then get there early on weekends. Weekdays are usually not busy with most people coming for exercise.There are plenty of sunny and shaded areas with pine trees and oaks. Restrooms are scattered throughout the property.Also, the park is home to Harris County Sheriffs Deputies due to their substation located within. Their presence adds a bit of comfort but as always, be alert.I went with four stars due to garbage located on the banks of the lake.

There are loads of covered pavilions, and playground structures here. I actually like the fact that they have red barrels set up for dumping you hot coals in after youre finished barbecuing. Theres also a big fenced in area to let your dogs run around with a bunch of things for them to play on as well. High police presence. I dont know if there were that many bad people here or not but I saw 3 of them pulling people over and 1 was at a pavilion with their lights on.

Is a grate place for walking and police its always around is very safe..

Separate areas for big and small dogs. I visited the small dog park. It is completely fenced in, huge space and even has a small obstacle course for them. Has a shallow dog bone shaped pond and a water fountain to give the pups some water. A few benches with good shade, a couple of stations for clean up (trash and doggy bags provided).Plenty of parking. I liked that in order for you to get to into the park, you need to go through 2 doors so pups cant easily get out. Also, as you leave theres a spot where you can quickly rinse them down. I saw a few people actually give them a quick scrub down.I didnt take pictures, but I will next time I take my dog. Definetly recommend this dog park!

We went for the first time yesterday. Took the two labs we are watching to the Dog Park. Large area great for running there is a concrete path with trash cans and 2 water fountains. Also there arelots of benchs for seating. There is also a bone pool and a dog washing area. The dogs really seem to love the cancel with water and mud. Everyone seems really nice here also.

Great place unfortunately no place for swimming and there is private property on one side that takes away the view.

Cant say enough about this park. The lake is so relaxing and pavilion areas are nice and clean. The security is top notch. We felt totally safe from start to finish. I highly recommend this place for family centered events.

The park is quite large but I didnt see any trails for bikers / walkers/ joggers. At one playground there were like 4 sets of swings, but only one set was equipped with infant/ toddler swings , I was a bit disappointed by that, several covered places to rent for events. It would be very pretty to add a pond and spruce it up just a bit

I went bike riding and I had a great experience it was super clean. Great place to bbq, ride bikes, picnics. I will go again. Goodvplace to release your stress.

This park is beautiful. You can launch boats here, fish, use the picnic tables, cook on their grills, sit in the shade, or rent a pavillion. You can hike, take your dog, use their workout equipment which is located in the park, several playgrounds, and many convenient restrooms. It is such a nice park to have a family reunion or just get together with family and friends. Love it.
