There was a blood drive. It is just as I remembered when I used to take my sons for events. Facilities are very nice and maintained.

Visited the Gilruth today to pay homage and celebrate the life of a co-worker, Stacey T Nakamura. We worked together in the space program for nearly 40 years. He was funny, talented and an exceptional engineer. God speed!

Private fitness center and event venue for the NASA JSC workforce. Offers a full gymnasium with a variety of fitness courses, both free and paid. The sports fields are well maintained and theres even a disc golf course.

Excellent place for A small gathering if you need a room. Its run by Johnson Space Center or NASA. Im not sure which one but its very clean and everybody is super friendly. Right Office Space Center Drive by the ball fields

This is a recreation area with a football/soccer field and a softball field. The fields seem well maintained. Bathrooms are clean, but did not have paper towels.

I actually came here for a wedding reception. Very spacious. I didnt know it was a rec center I didnt see any weights.

My wife and I visited the gilruth center for a holiday market in November and I have to thats one beautiful center. All the booths were just so beautiful and all the people were just so nice. They even had Santa claus there for pictures with the kids and thats just awesome. They had all kinds of gifts for sale and nice clothes for sale and on our way out there was deer grazing in the grass in the space centers fenced lots. So beautiful

Very close to NASA a center for recreation and exercise including ballrooms and meeting rooms for events. The grounds also have sporting sections for outdoor activity. Good amount of parking.

I attend the les Mills workout programs. Love the body pump, body flow classes. Great instructors, facility has awesome equipment

The gym is fine but its just too crowdedtheres not enough squat racks/benches

Very good location for NASA civil servants, NASA contractors, and their families to take all sorts of classes, play all sorts of sports, attend seminars and presentations, or just hang out.

I hate to say this because I dont want my beloved gym to get crowded, but the gilruth center gym is really fantastic. Lots of high quality weights and machines. Areas for bench, squat, and free weights. The cardio equipment is also really nice and high quality particularly the bicycles. Theyre the high end bikes with different courses that you can log into and keep track of. The gym is always clean and very nice and they do a great job of taking care of it

I only came here for a small business conference, but it was clean and well kept. The gym was great, and AC was full blast, restrooms didnt smell, vending machines were full and the water from the fountain was cold. They had a few NASA themed items available for sale and a big playground outside. Id probably stop by again if Im in the area with my family and have a closer look at what else it has to offer. I wonder if its open to the public or if a membership is required. I live too far away though to look into it now.

Weight training equipment, fitness classes, and a gym are available. Prices are good and equipment it properly maintained.The facility also has classrooms and conference/banquet facilities. Im not rating them here.

This place was awesome. Even has a gift shop for good Nasa swag. If you are able to do the walking trail, I recommend it. I plan on visiting shortly after they reopen.

Great. We had a good turnout at our Open house for NASA Lunarfins Dive Club.

Its a nice and clean facility. The man who works the front desk is kind and friendly. I enjoy the complimentary phone charging station.

Great facility with plenty of quality equipment available. Well maintained: always clean and equipment functions as it should. Plenty of other spaces for purposes beside the standard workout: full sized basketball court, multiple baseball fields, soccer fields, rooms for workout classes, etc.

This is a valued priced gem for select group fitness classes, especially Les Mills Body Pump. Im not a NASA employee, I just live nearby and my monthly fee for unlimited group classes is $22. Its a bargain. Their class selection isnt a big as at the Ys, but I use the facility regularly. One negative: Theyve not invested in enough hand weights. There are not enough basic 5 pound weights etc. The womens locker room is not fancy, but the water in the showers is hot. The Clear Lake community should be more aware of this facility.

Good facilities, friendly people, good food, too. Wonderful displays of NASA history and people scattered all over the place. Also near lots of interesting things like NASA-JSC, and the Pleasure Pier.

Its a great facility. I mainly use the fitness center and it has all the equipments I need. There are outdoor fields for soccer, baseball ,football, ultimate Frisbee etc,Indoor basket court,conference rooms. There are additional rooms for martial arts classes, dance classes etc.

Love playing volleyball here. The gym is also a nice facility for a good price membership.

Best playground Ive ever been to! I enjoy it even as an adult. The center is nice, the park is nice, and the fields are nice. There is also a disc golf course and clean restrooms. Definitely worth visiting!

Its great for a small wedding, meetings or any other moderate size gathering. Also has a gym, soccer and softball fields. Convenient for those who work near NASA.

ZenDen Master Alison Stellner is a dedicated, heartfelt, knowledgable, and attentive instructor. i very much appreciate her classes.

When to the Center to take a Amateur HamRadio exam. Found the place to very neat and the people were very helpful. Would be a place I would visit again.

They lie about your options, then if you try to cancel, they tell you that the only reason they allow cancellation is if you show proof of a medical condition or that you are moving out of the area. BUYER BEWARE!

This review is based solely on the outside not the inside. First off, the directions were bad. This place is not easy to find. 2101 takes you to the side of NASA. Google maps did get it right when I used my phone so I suggest Only using your phone and not your car navigation.Second, the grass was ridiculously high outside. I was at a event were the pavillion was rented.Third, the restrooms were really bad - the doors did not shut at all. Only one door shut, the others seemed to be bent. Also, the toilets wouldnt flush and one sink, the water wouldnt stop running and the other side did not appear to work. II was very disappointed in this facility at this time and on this day which was 8/27/16

Recently remmoddeled. Great gym if you get a discount.

Venue ok for large events but decor leaves a lot to be desired.

This place has everything you would want in a fitness center. Its the place I always go to get my exercise. The only issue I have is that a lot of older people tend to workout here and they have a very bad etiquette when it comes to workout machines. They will do a set on a machine and then just sit there till they feel like doing another set rather than getting up and allowing others to get in a set. I have left this place due to that being the case. Its not always an issue but it does happen frequently. The staff never tells anyone about how to share the equipment. Frustrating at times and causes me to do less of my own workout at times.

Friendly staff that are always looking to make the Gilruth center a better place. Ive been going here for about 2 years and they have vastly improved their fitness equipment selection during my time here.
