When it comes to boomerang coasters this is as good as it gets, and thats all thanks to this rides excellent restraints. The vests are comfy and secure, and theres nothing to hit your head on. As usual the drops are sharp and the inversions are forceful. Worth a shot even if you dont like Boomerangs.

Since they replaced the trains in 2011, it provided a smoother ride experience. Your head still bangs but it isnt as bad.The one downside to the newer trains is that it doesnt whistle right before going backwards. That was the one thing that made it unique to other Vekoma boomerangs.

Wow. I’d heard that vekoma boomerangs were rough and unbearable. This was my first, and I was pleasantly surprised. Hershey knocked it out of the pack with the vest reatraints. It felt so smooth! No headbanging whatsoever, good forces, and fun! Hershey maintains the hell out of this thing. It’s always running fast! If flies thru the course. And for the record I AM A COASTER ENTHUSIAST. I know a bad ride from a good rideC and I can tell you, this is a really good ride. I haven’t been to too many parks so I really liked my first boomerang. I’m dreading the day that I have to ride one with the otsr tho. Well, I’ll just ride them for the credit and move on. Sidewinder gets a 9/10. Loses a point for being unoriginal but it is a great ride.definitely a solid boomerang. Love the vests

A great ride! I hear its one of the smoothest boomerangs out there. The only sad thing is that there can only be one train, but its still soooo much fun!

Just a standard boomerang but they should just relocate it to a different park since Hershey Park is landlocked

Good! Highly recommend this one. The backwards drop at 116.5 feet was AMAZING and then it flies into some pretty crazy inversions. The drop was also kinda steep. Awesome coaster, if you go to Hersheypark, this is a must-ride.

Well Guys, its a Vekoma Boomerang. So, a few days ago I took a trip to Hershey Park. It holds a nostalgic place in my mind because I grew up going there. And to tell you from the perspective of a long-time park goer and a coaster enthusiast. Its a great ride, Out of all of the Boomerangs out there being run every day this one definitely has an advantage point, which is the smoother track and the new generation of Boomerang trains which are much more comfortable that the hard metal backs of the others. If you want to try a boomerang coaster, make sure this one is the first on your list!

Its a simple but different ride. I enjoy it. You go both directions, forward and backwards, plus a loop with times of little commotion (when the coaster is resetting) to the intense times when the coaster is moving. It makes the ride seem longer and creates a variance in the pace of the ride. I do hear a lot of people get sick from it however. Line is usually reasonable. Seats are comfortable..

I rode this tonight at Hershey Park for the first time and I got to say it was by far one of my favorites! I enjoyed the loop and corkscrew! And I loved the way of going backwards!

Good, quick roller coaster. Long climb up the incline at 45-degree angle offers great views if the park and nearby area. If you can control the fear of upcoming drop, the view is fantastic and relaxing. Then comes a sudden release, and you hurl forward through 3 full loops. Exit takes you up the other 45-degree incline... backwards. Then you repeat the 3 loops backwards, come to the stop, and the ride is over. Quick, fast, and smooth.

This is definitely one of the better boomerangs out there. Maybe even the best. It has a cool name, the trains and restraints are better, its smooth, and its super intense. Boomerangs are cloned, but this is probably the best boomerang out of all of them.

Sidewinder is one of fifty Boomerang coaster clones around the world. I’ve ridden two, including this one; the other is at the closest amusement park to me— Carowinds, in North Carolina. Sidewinder is a fun ride that doesn’t offer a lot in the way of forces or airtime, but does offer the relatively uncommon sensation of going backwards through thrilling inversions. Much unlike the Flying Cobras, this ride was a near walk-on for me, only warranting a five-minutes-or-less wait time. It’s a skippable ride, but is a good stepping-stone coaster for any new coaster enthusiasts.

I was with my cousins at the time. I was in the front with one of my cousins and my sister is in the back. My sister made a prediction on this ride by saying this ride better release us soon and the minute she said that it released and off we went. I love this ride soooo much now!

Its pretty good for a boomerang coaster! Its not terribly rough and it is very intense! Due to the vest restraints, there is zero headbanging! A downside is the lift hill, which is pretty slow.

A classic boomerang roller coaster located in the Pioneer Frontier section of the park... After you back up to the top of the hill, you drop down into a series of three loops until you hit the top again. After making it up, you fly back down backwards and do it all over again... Great ride with a 48 inch height limit so younger kids can ride.

What an AWFUL ride! I don’t usually get sick on rides but after doing Laff Trakk (which made me a little nauseous but not too bad) this was completely awful! Going backwards and upside down multiple times gave me car sickness for a couple days. I was even getting nauseous at the 4D show at HCW a few hours later! Great park, awful ride.
