This place is small but mighty! So many beautiful animals and exhibits. My favorites were the bears, wolves (we saw the babes rough housing!) & the white owls. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, it is definitely worth the small entry fee.

Zoo America is a great area to have a zoo. Zoo America has a great list of animals, such as owls, wolves, prairie dogs, paragon falcons, elk, bear, mountain lions, and more! These animals are all North American and do not disappoint. These people take care of the animals very well and also the animals have a lot of space to play among. These animals also arent lonely and have multiple animals of the same kind. Zoo America is trying to help protect and recover these animals back to its previous state and to have a great viewing experience for viewers.

Maybe it was time if day but most animals were not visible or sleeping. The Zoo is old. I want to say fun down but the old gives it something I cant quite explain .I entered from the amusement park so my fee was included in the park price I paid for Hersey park. Not sure if the entrance fee to Zoo alone would be worth the price or trip. Thats not my call

Zoo America is a small zoo adjacent to Hershey Park. We purchased separate admission online prior to our visit and check-in was quick and easy.Due to the pandemic unfortunately the buildings housing the reptiles were closed ( we did discover a unmarked side trail not marked that let you peek into the reptile building ) They only showcase animals from North America so you wont find major animals here you would see at a normal zoo. They do have bears and bobcats though. They also have a good selection of various bird species. One thing we loved was the hand sanitizer was plentiful and extremely present every few feet unlike chocolate world. I gave it 4 stars only due to the poor signage and lack of mask enforcement. They dont offer maps (you can download your own or use the Hershey Park app) . We did our first lap quickly and thought we were done. We were about to leave and accidentally stumbled on a unmarked path by the back exit that led to several more animals we would have missed. Determined to retrace our steps we found another path we missed after the bear enclosure that had a few more animals. Also lots of people just were not wearing mask at all or just holding them in their hands. There is no staff walking around to enforce the rules at all so people were doing whatever they wanted. Also the bear enclosure was extremely crowded at times with people not following the floor markers. Other than that we had a great time.

Would have been a 5 star if we would have been able to see more animals. I personally think that 13 dollars is kinda nuts to get into a zoo where you only get to see a few animals. While I do understand why the indoor exhibits are closed. It is not worth it for the few animals you do get to see.outside in my opinion.

As nice as it is seeing lots of North American wildlife I just cant get behind how small these enclosures are. The mountain lions pen is barely bigger than my own room. If youre going to have a zoo make a real one with room for the animals, not one where each animal has a smaller enclosures then some of them can move in a few seconds.

Nice little zoo near Hersheypark. Its not a big zoo by any means so its something perfect to supplement going in the park as well. It is however a very nice zoo with well kept enclosures for the animals and they all seem to be well taken care of. I did the private tour which was neat. It was nice being able to walk around without the crowds. You pay more for the private tour but its worth every penny.

I loved seeing the eagles-they must have been 4 feet tall. We watched a black bear swimming and a big brown bear came around the corner and dove in the pool after him. The bears put on quite a show! A pack of grey wolves had their own large area. All the animals looked clean and healthy. Huge turkeys, road runners, owls and vultures were just some of the birds. There were jungle cats and woodland deer. I didnt get to see it all!

We were a group of 4 adults and 1 kid. We were charged 14$ per adult. All the indoor exhibits have been closed due to Covid-19. Exhibits like black bear, mountain lion and lynx were not visible as the enclosure wasnt well designed. Overall we felt the trip to this zoo was a total waste of time and money. Not planning to come back here. We felt that the lake Tobias zoo was much better than this one.

Overall cute little zoo, it took us an 45 min to an hour to walk through but if you read all the info signs you could spend 1.5-2 hours there, enclosures are a little small for some animals while others were definitely bigger, they tell you to leave your mask on the whole time and if you get hot just lift up a bit so it’s still covering your mouth just not against your face, most people didn’t abide by that rule and had their face coverings off, I was disappointed that none of the workers were enforcing the mask policy but they were very sweet !! especially the Older woman in the front who scanned are tickets too bad I didn’t get her name she was very sweet and explained all of the new animals at the park and which arrows to follow around the park

Season pass holder of multiple years. This is a small zoo, perfect for taking the young kids for a walk to get some fresh air. This is our first visit since the pandemic and it will be the last. On the surface they appear to take masks and health seriously, they have signs and take your temperature at the door. After you enter the park however, they are not enforcing masks or social distancing. By closing the indoor exhibits they have eliminated flow through the park and probably have made exposure to others more likely by creating 2 way traffic in narrows walkways (Again with half the people not wearing masks). The local grocery store did better. If you take your heath seriously I wouldn’t come here.

I was not impressed at all. We were a party of 4 (2 adults, 14 yr old and 3 yr old) and it cost $52. I expected to see a lot more animals there. It literally took us an hour to walk through and we were walking pretty slow. If you have tickets to the park and want to take a break from rides, maybe it’s worth it...since it’s included. You can see a lot of animals here at the park but the loss of indoor exhibits is a big bummer. They have taken a variety of measures to maintain social distancing and while there were a decent bit of visitors it didnt feel like we were crammed together. Despite the heat, we were able to see all the animals even if some were taking cover from the sun. It is a nice way to spend 1-2 hours with children and the full exhibits would probably add 45 minutes once reopened. I do believe the rates are the same even with the indoor exhibits closed, but it all goes to taking care of the animals, right?

A great zoo to learn about animals of North America and observe them in their habitat. The animals look healthy and happy. We got to see an ocelot play and a wolf try to sneak up on a goose....from the other side of the fence. We seen Turkey Vultures stretching their wings and had a duck fly a few feet above our heads. We saw the bear resting in its den using a rock like a pillow. Although we didnt get to see a few of the animals, all of those we did see made it a worth the trip. The food is pricey but good, bring your own drinks if you want to leave with money in your pocket. It cost more than $15 for a souvenir cup and then you pay for refills.
