Hershey’s Chocolate World is a fantastic must-visit location when in Hershey. The chocolate world features all Hershey chocolate candies via merchandise, candy, and even chocolate tour ride. The Tour gives you an insight into how Hershey chocolates are made through interactive animatronics and even the sweet scent of chocolates. This place is a chocoholic dream. To top it all off, we like to visit the ice cream and milkshakes for some of the best chocolate combo mixed mill shakes you will ever have. I highly recommend visiting this location when in Hershey; you wont be disappointed.

We were driving past here and wanted to stop by, but started out later in the day and thought we’d have to miss it. Turned out that this place was open until 8pm, so we were able to stop by and grab something to eat here while enjoying a fun tour! Pizzas, breadsticks, and a giant pretzel! Some fun souvenirs for the kids and a delicious mocha for me. Just need to check in for free tickets on your phone when you drive in. We also loved getting a few cute pics of our kids!

We would love to give Chocolate World 5 stars but...the tour on the trolley did not fit our standards. The tour guide is too fast and the tour pretty much takes you to places you can drive yourself to for less than $14.00 they charge. Inside Chocolate Town you can take photos, enjoy a tour on a electric car of a small size digital version of the Chocolate Factory so you DONT get to go into the actual factory which is unfortunate. The staff is great and helpful plus you can enjoy a 30 min movie. Mr Hershey did so much for PA and for the town there isnt to much homage to Mr Hershey in town nor a statue. Chocolate Town is small but you will see tons of candy you can buy but the prices are WAY to expensive. Not at all whats expected since the factory is literally across the street. Wal-Mart sells it cheaper. If you want to buy something Wal-Mart does not have try their brownies, milk shakes and desserts they are AMAZING! Next to Chocolate Town is Hershey Park you can buy bundle tickets inside chocolate town to enjoy it all. Oh parking is free for 3 hours after 3 hours its $15 for another 3 hours so its worth it if you are staying all day. Stay safe and wear your mask!

Id like to give this one 3 1/2 stars but Im rounding it down because of how much it tries to fleece the patronage.Yes, the standard ride remains free, but it a superficial, shiny-faced, commercial that skirts past any informative history like it offered years ago.Its fun to see all the candy available for purchase, and its not exorbitantly priced, sometimes you can even find genuinely good deals. But its still a tourist/parent trap that tries to squeeze families as much as possible, with way overpriced souvenirs and additional things to participate in like make your own candy bar which was about $35/person, in November no less. Its obligatory to go with children, but hard to come away feeling like you got your moneys worth.

The Gift Shop Area: I loved how they renovated it to look like a chocolate factory. It makes the entire section open and more inviting. If my review was based on this alone, Hersheys Chocolate World wouldve gotten a 4 star rating. The Tour: This took a beating. I get keeping up with the times but the original tour was much more charming and inviting - from its line and presentation. The new tour got rid of the original Hershey song and ramped up its technological capabilities. The more technological it got, the more it lost its charm. Less is more.

You are required to get free tickets to enter online. The tickets for the morning can go very fast. So if you have a certain time of day get them iin at least a day in advance. On holiday weekends there could be a line on the entrance to the parking area so give your self some time before your ticketed times. The tickets are every 15 minutes and give you a 30 minute window to enter. Later in the afternoon on non-holidays you may be able to get entrance at the door because they are not at capacity. At the entrance to the parking area you will be given a ticket showing your entry time. The first 3 hours are free but over three hours the price goes up to 15 dollars. Three hours should be plenty of time to take the factory tour and to shop for candy themed merchandise. At the entry to Chocalate World you will have your temperature checked. The process is fast and there are many stations. As soon as you enter the smell of chocolate awashes over you. This is not the place for people who do not like chocolate.

What can I say? Ive been visiting Hershey park and chocolate world for over 50 years. NEVER AGAIN!!! I was treated rudely from the ticket counter to the parking security people. I guess good help is hard to get but when a store employee says what did you expect we all make minimum wage you should learn something from that? And I bought the most expensive season pass you can get! It says you get preferred parking, NOT, and you cant even get in to chocolate world without some kind of prearranged pass? It used to be you walked in to chocolate world unannounced? Why do I need to argue with a child about entering while being turned away from visiting the retail store which is where we wanted to go to spend money? This place needs to get its head out of its a_s to even try to become the sweetest place on earth again! And wouldnt it be nice if you changed the rules about entering any of the parks you make that information available to season pass holders. A 2 1/2 hour drive 1 way and treated like they were doing me a favor by letting me visit? Im refuting the credit card charges for my season pass! I wont even buy your candy bars now!!!!!

I loved it. The entire thing is practically a gift shop. We did the little ride where it shows you how chocolate is made which was fun and they gave us a mini Hershey bar at the end. They were selling a lot of candy - most you can just get in stores, but they also had the harder to find things like seasonal items, including the 1 pound pack of Reese cups, the huge Hershey bars, and some Witchs Brew Kit Kats. They had a selection of international Hershey kisses, some cookies and creme bars made with red and blue cookies (to be patriotic), and merch of everything. Reese neck pillows. Hershey umbrellas. Kit Kat shirts. Its definitely worth a stop if youre in the area anyways. The merch prices were what youd expect for tourist items, and the candy was, too depending on what you got, but everything we got only cost 22 dollars, and we got 2 bags of Kit Kats, Twizzlers and Hershey Kisses, and 3 candy bars

Wi
Review №69

Purchased two BigKat KitKats today as I usually do on Mondays. At lunch time I discovered that one of them was missing the wafer completely, it was just mouth fulls of generic chocolate. Hersheys can produce good chocolate, heck, I grew up on it, but on the KitKats, they depend on the combination of generic chocolate and wafer to make a good candy bar and when one is missing, the whole thing is pretty nasty. Called the toll free number to report this very strange irregularity and the customer service agent that I conversed with was rather dismissive. He offered to send me a coupon, but I kept telling him that I just wanted to relay this irregularity and find out what was going on as to why it could have happened. He literally told me that he has never heard of it happening before, but in a dismissive and cold manner. This is a sure indicator of a company that has grown so large they simply do not care about the individual consumer anymore. I guarantee you back when they originated, they were all about the customer, that is the only way they could have grown, but it is quite apparent that true customer care is no longer part of their business motto. I guess I expected more from my silent loyalty over the years, but that ignorance is on me. As for purchasing any Hershey products in the future, I can say after todays experience with their customer service rep, I will not be risking a repeat performance. I will happily spend my money elsewhere. Not that it means much to this giant corporation, but they have lost yet another loyal customer. Good day

Overpriced and overhyped tourist trap.Regarding the actual experience:It is free to get into the building and the tour is free. But there is an hour long line (when out on the sales floor) in order to ride a ~10 minute very kiddie ride that supposedly shows you how the chocolate is made. Very little actual information was conveyed and the machines were obviously fake to a depressing degree. It would have been more interesting to watch a video tour of the actual factory. They take a blurry side photo of the car at the end of the tour and try to sell it to you for Amusement Park ride photo prices. The only redeeming factor was the snack size Hershey bar they handed out free after the ride. The only other free thing to do is shop...wait that isnt free. The merchandise and candy is quite overpriced for the most part unless you buy a 72 pack of candy bars (then they are $0.50 each). A five pack of small pins representing five different candy bars was $24.95. The shakes are $8 and 16oz size...maybe. And the flavor wasnt anything amazing. We didnt do any of the paid features because of how much they cost but seeing what they were they would not have been worth the cost. The actual factory is a couple miles away and they no longer do tours. There is a museum nearby but after the disappointingly long visit at Chocolate World we didnt have time to go to it.Regarding Coronavirus Regulations:They claim all these Covid regulations and safety measures but they do not actually enforce distancing or masks to any real degree. My brother is a Covidiot and wore his mask under his nose the whole time. He was asked to wear it properly *once*. They say they require timed passes to enter but there is a line outside and they just let anyone in regardless of timed pass possession. When my dad held up his pass in which the time had passed hours before the guy was confused why my dad was even showing his phone screen. The building was packed making social distancing impossible. They only enforced it to any degree regarding lines and even then they didnt really enforce it at all. If you say you are only allowing small numbers in and that timed passes are required then enforce that ffs.Very disappointing overall.
