We attended a service and felt the sweet presence of the Lord. The service is interdenominational, the congregation, multi-cultural with a lively and very friendly spirit. The sermon more than held our interest and we felt we were well-taught and inspired. It leans toward traditional without being the slightest bit boring. The chapel itself, with it’s historic flags, pristine woodwork and gorgeous stained-glass (some from Tiffany’s of NY), is so filled with history (1858), one might find it difficult not to let the mind wander during service. But that doesn’t happen with such a vibrant little body of Believers. A very pleasant surprise tucked away in the center of Ft. Monroe.

This is a really neat, very old chapel. It is worth a visit if you are in the area. The fort as a whole is a nice, and unique setting.
