Nice to have a place where I can take my dogs. And if I cant take them into the dogfence area, I can still walk them around the large open areas. Clean up after your dogs, people.

Decent baseball field. Fairly well maintained grass field. Consessions most games. Bathroom available. Bleachers and grass paces to sit and watch.

Very nice park with a lot of picnic tables and a place for dogs to run around. The only problem the bathrooms were locked. But other than that nice and clean.

The park it self was not cut and weeds everywhere. The baseball field BUILT by Dave Ciakowski is a total disgrace! This man did a ton for the baseball family of Hammond and other towns around. Gave them a very nice field and safe place to play. Exposure for players to get a scholarship or a place to play and get an education! This is what happens when politicians get a hold of something and just ruin it. If I was a coach I would NOT recommend playing there if you have a choice. Just sad! If youre wondering, I grew up in Hammond!

I go to the baseball field end of the park. Though I dont go to the games, everyone seems to be having a good time. The rest of the park also looks very nice.

I like the trials for walking and bike riding but you need to replace the wood chips from the playground area with padding so its not wet and doesnt carry bugs Im sure it will be nicer and safe for the children.And 1 thing that really bothered me is that field grass so high and not safe for children to want to wander into the playground should have a fence around it so no one can wonder off and so that no one could just hide in that field and take a child.I hope you will invest in more safety at this park.It is not a safe world for anyone today and its really just creepy someone could be hiding anywhere.

Nice 18-hole disc golf course. Enjoyable and challenging. Restrooms locked, no trash cans visible anywhere out in the park.Right on the Calumet River bicycle trail, too.

Poorly maintained. charge for tournaments and dont even re caulk field between games. Take your money elsewhere.

Small intimate park

There is not any handicapped parking close to fields 1& 2. U must walk almost a block to get to these fields.Also the snack bar is not allways opened. U must go over to the other side of the park to get something to eat. When all the fields are working this snack bar is 3 lines 20 people deep. It is like a 30 min. wait.

Perfect for any traveler or local. 1 minute off the highway. Clean. Basic. Free. Off leash. Our dogs had a blast

Its a big place lots of room but i feel like it could have more stuff or a bigger park for the kids to have fun when theyre baseball games going on.

I walk here nearly every day I love Riverside Park so much,, I wish the bathrooms worked tho theyre always locked and the water is constantly running in them (I went into the mens bathroom once before they all got locked,, the sinks are constantly running and the toilets are constantly flushing) theres a water fountain outside the bathrooms near the playground and its also constantly running

This Park is a lot of fun for familys. Plus they have a dog park there to.

Parking is limited after dusk. Nice facility. Come prepared as there are no concessions. Plenty of bleacher and behind home plate there are seats with backs. Not a lot of great spots for lawn chairs.Update: concessions have been available occassionally. Simple offerings for reasonable prices.

From the time my daughter played soft ball, in the year the park opened up, bout 20 years ago, and now my grand gids are playing, ball! The park seems very well taken care of! & set up quite nice! This evenings games turned out winners, & the wheather was beautiful!

It says there is a nature trail, which is maybe 1/2 mile of elevated gravel path next to a ditch. The dog park is free but has very little in it.

I often walk Riverside Park on my lunch break. The path is composed of cinders, so be sure to wear a pair of shoes that you dont mind getting a bit dusty.

Grass had to have been 8 long... for a baseball tournament!!! It had been mowed earlier in the week but must have been 12 when they mowed it! It looked like a hay field...
