The park has many beautiful mature trees and nice tennis courts. A great place to calmly walk your dog. The park is next to the Erie Lackawanna trail which also has beautiful mature cottonwoods that rustle with the breeze.

This is a great park to sit down and relax in the middle of nature.

USE TO BE A GREAT PARK. PICNIC BENCHES NEED PAINTING. ALOT OF ROTTEN WOOD NEEDS REPLACING. GRASS GETTING HIGH. BAND SHELL NEEDS MAINTENANCE. LOOKS LIKE ALOT OF TAX DOLLARS INTO KING PARK AND NONE IN HARRISON. SHOULD BE BALANCE. PEOPLE SHOULD VISIT BOTH HAMMOND PARKS AND DECIDE.

Harrison Park is a good clean quiet well maintained Public place to come to and have peace enough to read a book outside. Regular patrols by the local police. Who provide the high visibility techniques that deter opportunity for criminal/aggressive behavior. I enjoy my quiet time as I can read my Bible in the peace of God. Praying for all and our Peacekeepers and the local first responders as well as family ect.

Looks like a disaster, after falling trees 2 weeks ago.

Lots of missing pieces to the park unfortunately.

Its bigs but inconvenient to get to the pavilion.

This park has two different areas to play which is cool. One for bigger kids and one for smaller. But still not really toddler friendly. Also wasnt very clean. Not my fave park,but in a pinch....

Park need pathways to much grass no place to walk, so much poop. However me and my family had a great time!

Great place to bring the lil ones

We do a big fireworks show there every year. ..... all are welcome to come and watch. Free for you and your family.

More flooded area all over ...kids brought bread to feed ducks and most areas was flooded...use to be a nice park to go to...

We stopped here with our Pierogi Fest feast . Theres nice picnic benches and its usually not too crowded...well if you dont count the squirrels looking for a handout...the one in the background not only snatched his treat, but ran to the other side and grabbed the birds crumbs as well.. Erich thought that was hilarious....

It was nice once upon a time. With the trash blowing in from the west. Its not fit for a dog to poop.

Nice city park..I wish they would hold some concerts there as well as the ones at wolf lake...and the ash trees took a huge hit with the emerald ash borer beetles but still some good trees...the people with dogs dont pickup and alot of people that drink or park just throw trash in street or by the garbage cans the city sets out but thats to be expected due to hammonds level of inhabitants IQ and politeness and upbringing which borders on miscreants and blue color workers and displaced blacks and whites not from this area that dont care about others....only care about themselves...too bad if you dont like my post but I speak the truth

Harrison Park is a decent Park to just sit there and watch the Ducks and everything and relax gather your thoughts polish up your car in the shade gather your thoughts clear your mind

Has 3 play areas. 2 was outdated.

Charge you for everything the park is not free they do not help you

I love this park for a family or organization outing.

Alot of homeless drunks sit at park benches...they visit Nicks liquor store 1/2 block from the park and gather at the park.Hammond police sit in the sub hub scratching lottery tickets and arent doing there job keeping the community enjoyable for familys!?

I love the park

This park has to much standing water after it rains which is very dangerous for children and adults MOSQUITOs and other bugs with horrible diseases thrive in conditions like this. Its very disappointing to see a PUBLIC PARK in such horrible condition. It also is a breeding ground for dangerous wanna be gangs and real gangs. I will NEVER TAKE MY GRANDKIDS to this park ever again. I personally have seen at least a dozen drug transactions and saw a poor helpless homeless person attacked for no reason except wanting to rest under a tree.
