An absolutely beautiful nature spot that is poorly managed. They need to run the homeless people out and the need to clean up the constant dumping of trash. It appears that nobody manages this area. Such a waste seeing as its such a nice nature area with so much to offer. What a shame.

Nice trails. Nice benches. Nice picnic areas. Large number of different species of birds.

I love taking walks through the spark because it has a pier walk that is right above marsh land, and the trail ends at a bike trailhead where you can then walk on pavement. You can also walk off trail and fish in a small pond that is just off Cline Avenue. it is currently my girlfriends favorite place to walk and she gets out quite a bit. Its a great place for a couple to go on a walk and maybe even bring a canine companion. Down side: There is some litter:/

I went in there for a political rally. Love them for being conscious for the community. Was told that the chicken and waffles are great. Got some. Best chicken I have had in a long time that I didnt have to cook for myself. Waffles with cool. And coffee is great go there do that

Best hidden nature spot right off 80/94. Nice and quite spot to stretch your legs on a long trip. Hiking, grilling, relaxing. Nature get away in the city. Two minutes from welcome center.

I brought my summer camp students here. This is a great place for a nature walk and picnic outing. We saw all kinds of birds and the scenery itself was relaxing and enjoying. I would even recommend taking your love for a nice stroll through here. Well be back again.

Love to walk down the decks, then around the oxbow pond. I fish here in the spring and summer months. I see people come here to look at the trees and wildlife. Some people even have little picnic out there. Their is some picnic tables the northeast side of park with parking.

Was a nice little park on the north side of Little Calumet River. Good walking trails, picnic spots, floating pier and various fauna and wildlife. Unfortunately, has fallen hard times. Park needs a lot off work to bring it back.

Decent little park with a lot of walking paths and ponds. With more clearing and cleaning, this can definitely be a wonderful little gem!

Amazing fishing spot. All kinds of beautiful fish to catch or just throw a little food and enjoy watching them swim about. Little Calumet river is just over the levy to the south but the fishing in there sucks unless youre looking for grass carp or bowfin. FISHERMEN BEWARE!!!! DNR does patrol here from time to time and WILL ask for your fishing license. Only 4 stars because theres obvious evidence that homeless people sleep on the picnic tables at night and people sometimes leave trash everywhere because they dont know how to appreciate nice things. Other than that, solid spot.

Beautiful place to walk trails close to home. I just wish people would be more considerate of nature and not throw trash in the water or on the trails

Great view of the river and wildlife; can really see tons of great, ducks, seagulls; other birds. Evidence of beavers, tracks of predators. Municipality keeps it all plowed in the winter (wear shoes you dont mind being saturated in goose feces!)Alas, the heavy-drinking homeless camp does create a bit of a blight at times... But look at the river and birds and trees! Dogs give it 5 stars...

Very peaceful place. I love walking the trails and doing some fishing. The amount of wildlife that you come across is amazing.

Love fishing for big large mouth bass or big bluegills & perch? This is the place. There is a wooden walkway where you can walk through as well areas where you can have a picnic. Or just take a long walk beside the little calumet river and enjoy the deer and beautiful wildlife. My favorite place to catch huge bluegills

Had a great time. I caught 2bluegill my buddy corky as well lil Robert got one he faught for all night getting so angry. Idk where he getts that from lol.

This park is beautiful and the wooden walkway over the wetlands is well-maintained. I give 3 stars because if youre going there to fish, there are only a few good spots that arent overgrown and open enough to cast.

Great place to go for a hike! I take my dogs here several times a week. They have a nice pick nick area. Lots of areas to fish from. There are all sorts of birds to watch and if your lucky youll see deer, fox, and more. There are 2 small lakes to fish as well at the little Calumet river.

Nice place to fish without alot of people around. The is a large body of water with a deck thats newly built, but to reach it you have to park at the back of the hotels, and walk. Its full of carp, snakehead, channel catfish, bass, and bluegills. The are covered picnic tables with woodsy areas that are pretty. Wer wil visit again, and fish.

See a lot of people visiting often. My daughter and I stopped one day, a man was carrying a raccoon by its front pages, he let the coon loose at the center area to run free, it was actually his pet. We walked the trails, but came across a snake, I took off,said, am done! My job moved our office down the same road, after a big snow, I took this really cool photo, wish I knew how to share it.

Drunk man driving a scooter all the time harassing you...while he lives there...he dumps trash every where...he is very intrusive when trying to take a nature walk.other than that beautiful place... Get rid of the drunks that live there

They made it more for a commercial tourism. I liked it much more years ago before all the construction. I prefer to enjoy the actual wilderness.

Very scenic environment and place to enjoy, yet the park needs some upgrades and poses some dangers to its visitors. Parking lot area is on a gravel road with several potholes, park entrance and trail route signs are run down, the series of parkway paths are overgrown and some that go off course end up as dead-ends making it easier to get lost. Some paths go over-water and have no guard-rails at curved sections; may not be suitable for bikers as the path is now connected to another bike trail and path bridge. Wildlife is peaceful but there seems to be a stray black cat who has now become a feral cat inhabiting the land. Recreational sitting areas are fair but the city should remodel the park and make it more welcoming to visitors of the new restaurant, hotel, and business complexes being built behind it.

This is a beautiful and nature filled park. I think it is probally one of my gavorites. And you can go canoeing on the river. It is peaceull, enjoyable, and a nice quiet place to go read a book or go for a walk.
