Beautiful Park! It is a perfect example of how giving Michigan Forest can be.Lots of beautiful native plants, mushrooms and animals. It was kind of annoying there was these people walking around and talking very loud I could hear them across the forest. I do not love hearing people talk but I dont blame the park for that.
HUGE beautiful trees at Ken-O-Sha Park! I appreciated that there are multiple trails. I pitched a hammock off of one by Plaster Creek, and had no one hike by for the hour and a half I was there. This would also be a great place for woodsy biking. From what I saw, the main trail is are paved and the rest are dirt.
This Place is Awesome! My favorite trail in the city! There are always locations where you can get away from any other Walker or runners! Except the trails are not kept up so you may have to climb over some downed trees and branches! Highly Recommended! And the trail always has beautiful sights and animals. Recommended for all seasons, just be careful, watch your footing, and have fun!
This place has so much potential! The dirt trails are okay and there is room for more. The paved trail is nice too. With some modest investments, it could really shine.
Great walking trails near plaster creek, if youre observant, you may even find the bike loops!
Beautiful walking/biking path. Has many great split-offs to pretty secluded areas. Would highly recommend walking for any casual walkers.
Experience the outdoors within the city. Great trails! Bike, walking,or running it is a beautiful place.
Not good for biking, and probably rollerblading would be very difficult Tree roots are pushing up in many spots. Trail narrows down to half width in a few sections because its overgrown. A couple of spots where the trail has collapsed due to erosion have snow fence that has been there for many years.
Nice playground equipment for young kids and a great nature trail, all right in the city.
Absolutely gorgeous. The main path is clean but theres also lots of off road paths that are super pretty and easy to get down.
Clean, quiet area where you cant even tell youre still just steps away from 28th Street. Gets busy at times, but still plenty of space for everyone
Nice trail for walking and walking dogs. Also school with playground.
Hidden gem just off 28th street. Some construction was going on at our last visit.
Part of the school...well maintained park is being renovated.
Played a social game of basketball. Was fun. Awesome vibs
Very nice trail. Lots of wildlife.
Nice trails, paved and dirt. Single track needs some maintenance.
Nice place to go for a peaceful walk. It also has trails to run off into.
Shady, quite and serene! Alotta deer
For a park in the middle of the city this park is impressive. I mostly mountain bike here on two trails that Id describe as a good place for a fairly easy ride thats a few minutes from home. Sometimes you just dont have time ya know. Walking path follows river and is shaded.
Great place to just chill and hang out with the boys
Perfect to walk with the dog.
Beautiful trail. Nice and hidden, family friendly. Definitely recommend, great place to get away from life and just think and enjoy nature.
Love exploring the trails. Pretty park.
Nice place for a hike
We love walking this park in the fall. It is tucked back inside a neighborhood but it is nice. There are many trails and the creek is nice. I wish the grounds were better maintained and a second bridge over the creek would be nice to do a loop rather than a there and back.
Paved walking and biking trail through native woods. Many gravel trail offshoots to explore.
The park is quiet and the people are friendly
Nice park that has a rural feel in the city. It feels very nice to connect with nature so close to home.
A casual stroll through a forest in a pretty residential area. Theres usually quite a few dogs and bikes, that said if your dog doesnt handle being around those its not the best. However theres several miles of non paved trails that really can be good for a run or walk. Just what you might expect from a city trail though, perhaps just a little bit cleaner.
Favorite trail in Gr by far!
Nice trail next to Plaster Creek. If you know what Garlic Mustard is please dont hesitate to remove it by its roots while the soil is moist. If youre lucky you may see a deer. There is a small herd of at least 9 located here. Mostly they just look at you.
My kids had so much fun with their skateboards and dog on this path, every opportunity they could theyd take the side trails to check out the creek! They really enjoyed are venture to Ken-0-Sha Park, marked it on our GPS as a favorite place next time we travel back to Michigan
Great for a bike ride
Nice quiet walk until you reach the Eastern end which is trashed by apartment buildings.
This is where I go to clear my head, soothe my soul and feel right with the world instantly.
Fun, quick, inner city loop.
Very peaceful and not overcrowded
Nice easy beautiful walk
Beauty at its finest!
Great little single-track tucked away in Grand Rapids. Several different routes to let you get more miles out of it than it appears to offer. A couple challenging spots but the worst ones have alternate routes.
Lovely! Gorgeous place to wander (:
A nice place to walk the dog.
Good trail, well maintained.
Nice trail system.
Could not easily find parking
I love this park!!! Its one place I can escape and get a good walk and workout in.
Awesome bike trails
Some pretty part as long as you dont take the paved trail. The map doesnt really make much sense so dont bother trying to go off of it.
Great trails 2 run on!!!
I love this place for a nice dog walk. It is nice to go to nature, and the water is soothing. You can climb or ride bike, and it is nice break from the city. It is hard to see from the main road, though. Cops check on the place from time to time.
Great trails, wide and shady. Beautiful!
Really great park. Very nice woodland paths. The trails arent super clear so be prepared for fallen trees and branches. But its great for you and especially a dog. Easy to get lost on one side of the river so be aware of where you are.
Great place to walk and to bring your dogs! You can walk on the asphalt trail or walk down by the creek. Heres a tip, dont walk down by the river after a good rain. The ground gets mucky.
Great walking trail along the river.
This was a lot tougher than I imagined. Good ride and I will be back.
Fun place to take the kids and explore
Easy trails. Water feature - Plaster creek
Ive always loved going to that park even as a kid, the people are still nice even after all the time.
Awesome location. Well maintained, beautiful scenery.
Great place for adventures!
Its ok
It was cold for a spring day...but pleasant...
Peaceful, fully tree covered walking path.
Trails are both paved and dirt trails u can go off the beaten path as far as u want
So pretty
Beautiful Park to take the dogs on a walk
Nice trails for a stroll through the woods along the creek. I can see why its popular for walking the dog.
Saw 4 separate deer this morning. Trail zig zags around plaster Creek and crosses itself numerous times. Also saw a family of ducks swimming down a tributary.
Great lil mountain bike loop with fun side trails. Not very large, you can ride every trail in an hour or less.
This was my favorite park in kentwood growing up. I love watching the salmon run or hunting for morels. Its a great gem hidden in the middle of suburbia.
Nice place
Sports fan have their pick of the play. And the toddlers have their jungle to roam..er, um, playground that is. The whole family is likely to enjoy rain or shine.
Very big park and long trails. I like the trails because my husband took me on his moped down the trails. I just sat back and chilled.
Beautiful park with a great trail! Its absolutely perfect for walking my dogs.
Please keep your dogs leashed.
It would be nice if google maps took me to the park pictured instead of a weird school in the middle of a residential area, all Im saying
Walked along the paved trail, wasnt very impressed, but maybe thats because Im from the upper peninsula where the air doesnt reak of pollution, the water is clean, and you only hear nature. The air on this trail reaked of trash and factory, all you could hear was traffic... Seen two frightened deer run ito infront of me which was cool but so sad at the same time because thats the nature they live in... Sad. The water streams were absolutely disgusting! Some where just ponds made from pollution. Made me so sad for nature walking this trail.
Part of the trails view are a little more industrial than wooded but the rest is a nice walk through the woods along Plaster Creek. The paved trail is well maintained and has several unpaved offshoots.
Nice and calming trail to walk on
Beautiful park, well maintained walking and MTB trails.
Heavily wooded park with a small river. Has both natural and paved trails.
This is a great, nearby paved trail for walking/running/biking, with probably around 3 miles of mountain biking trails attached. Park at the Elementary School off Kalamazoo Ave.
Nice place to visit
