Visited DeVos to watch Hamilton and Lion King and sat in the balcony both times. Really wonderful performances. For Hamilton was sat on the back row of the balcony, and was still able to enjoy the full production and music. Would highly recommend visiting. My first visit was to see Pride & Joy: the Marvin Gaye musical. Unfortunately there issues with sound on the night. My friend contacted DeVos and they were gracious enough to offer free tickets to another show. Great customer service

Very nice looking place. Seats were on the very side but the view was still great. No heads were in our way. Even though the sell food and drinks inside dont try and take yours. Real sticklers about going through purses.

DeVos is located in a great area downtown. Near so many restaurants and bars. If you park downtown - all of it is walkable. DeVos has great acoustics! And from my experience there isnt a bad seat in the house. I have been to so many shows and had many different viewpoints - all of them good! I really appreciate this venue!

Ive been here a few times and its just wonderful. The performances especially the Grand Rapids Symphony is spectacular! The intermissions give you a good break, beverages can be a bit pricey but no different from Downton drink menu prices. Seating is comfortable and you get a great view from different sections.

Saw Weird Al! It was a dream come true. I am a super dork from way back. When my wife surprised me with tickets I cried. Weird Al has been a hero to me since I was young. The venue was clean and everyone was supe polite and went above and beyond. For instance, an maintence worker took time to direct my daughter and I to the ladies room for her as it was not visible. We mislaid our concert posters and the workers near them held them to the side and remembered us.Over all an unforgettable experience! Thank you!

This is a great venue for theater and concert performances. There is plenty of nearby parking and getting into the venue is simple. I have one complaint and that is clear signage for the restrooms: the womens restrooms are enough to handle the rushes during intermission, but I counted no less than 5 men who wandered down to the womens restroom area since the mens restrooms were through a set of doors and around the corner. If you arent familiar with the venue, it can be a disconcerting. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, the tech is high-quality and well balanced, and even sitting in the balcony is a decent seat.

We attended Jurassic Quest and overall, had a great time. The dinosaur exhibits were amazing and so life like. The set up flowed nicely. After playing in the bounce houses, they had a store area where you could purchase various dinosaur things. The main level of the DeVos Center was nice and up to date. We parked right across the street for a flat rate of $10. Good experience. Would go back if another venue/exhibit of interest arose.

The DeVos Performance Hall is a great place to see a live production. The seats we had were so close to the stage that seeing things happening on the floor of the stage were hard to see, but seeing the production was easy. The concession lines were long during intermission so I didnt bother to purchase anything. There wasnt a line to use the mens restroom, however there was for the womens restroom. Parking downtown will cost you if you park in a parking lot or garage, however, if you dont mind a little bit of a walk, you can park on the road just North of the venue and it is free after 5 PM.

Ive attended many performances at DeVos - Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, etc. The acoustics are great and there isnt a bad seat in the house. Grand Rapids attracts some of the best theatrical talent in the world with many Broadway casts making appearances on the DeVos stage. Im very privileged to have a great performance hall in my hometown of Grand Rapids!

DeVos Performance Hall is the crown jewel of the Grand Rapids entertainment venues. With 2400 seats, they feature the best in national entertainment from Broadway, Comedy, Live Music, and Family Friendly shows. Just saw Brit Floyd, AMAZING!!! Theres a show for all tastes. So if youre looking for something to do with that special someone. Or get out with friends or family, DeVos Performance Hall should be on your list.

DeVos Performance Hall is my favorite Grand Rapids venue to see classical performances. Recently I saw Tchaikovskys Romeo and Juliet and was not disappointed. The sound resonates well, there is plenty of space, and many places to explore. For rock concerts and plays, the backdrop is easily changed, making for quick intermissions and scene changes. For those actually performing here, the amount of space backstage is massive, with several dressing rooms of varying size. I reccomend this place to all.

Very nice venue to see the symphony perform in. Decent number of seats while keeping an intimate feeling to the performance. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Only place for improvement is the concessions lines - get your snacks before the show rather than at the intermission. Unless youre one of the first dozen or so in line you likely wont get back to your seat in time.Highly recommend seeing the symphony here.

Excellent performances! Building is contemporarily designed and allows for great acoustics regardless of where you sit. Architecture of the building does not hold the charm nor have the ambiance of theaters in other parts of Michigan like the Fox or Temple, in fact, DeVos Hall is rather ugly. But we dont go there specifically for the architecture, and the venue attracts top-notch performances, has friendly staff and clean facilities, so we keep going back.

Excellent accoustics however the seating is quite tight (and Im not a big person) - rows are too close together, which could pose as a significant safety issue if this Hall would ever need to ever be evacuated quickly! DeVos Hall is home to the spectacular Grand Rapids Symphony. We attend several times every year as a family, especially the events featuring full-length movies with the symphony performing the score--Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. Absolutely nothing beats live orchestral music in a grand Hall such as this. Some attendees dress up, but most are very casual. I dare you, though, be the one to dress up! People will ask for photos with you :-)

So a friend and I came here to see a performance by Neil degrasse Tyson, which was excellent. The building itself is obviously one of wealth and has some impressive open architecture. The parking area is void of cell reception, and you pay upon exit which was a little confusing. We followed Google maps instruction to the parking area but after that, we had to wander as it was not obvious where we needed to go. Parts of the building were closing and staff were friendly enough to guide us. We had seats almost all the way back, which still allowed for a decent view. I am 58 and was able to sit comfortably, but my friend is over 6 and had a very difficult time getting comfortable. In conclusion, do a little planning ahead of time to find out where it is you are going. If you are taller, you will need to invest in more expensive seating.

Good seats not too expensive however 4.5$ for a small pepsi was highly overpriced. snack options were very limited and mostly package candy that was also highly overpriced i understand they need to make a profit but they would sell more and likely make more money if they had even 15% lower prices just my thought
