Mulligans is one of my favorite bars to start out the night. The drinks are very affordable. The staff has been there forever and they know what they’re doing. Quite often there is an up an coming artist playing in the back room. Great spot!

This is one of my favorite bars in grand rapids by far. Its very rustic and reminds me of the old east town. The bartenders and waitstaff always blow me away with how friendly they are and I have never seen an issue not be resolved professionally by the security. There is never a cover charge and some of the bands are pretty phenomenal. They have shuffle board and pool tables as well. Its definitely worth a stop if youre in the area, its never a bad time.

I had a great time with some great friends and people but even after tiping out waitress over $50, at the end of the night she poured out mine and my friends drinks because she didnt want to stay late, but fact of the matter is we had 15min til 2am. She continued to tell in my face Get put while I was trying to finish my drink. Not going back...

Well I was hoping this wouldve been a go to bar for me since I recently moved close by. Definitely not. My mom came into town and I wanted to take her out and i looked up some good reviews and decided on mulligans. There was hardly anyone at the bar, other customers were served before bus. I think they like to treat white people best. We are native American and I hope your staff becomes more considerate of everyone that comes in to support your business if thats even a priority for this establishment. Thanks for the horrible experience with my mother asking if we wanted to share straws....so weird......

Mulligans Pub. Not for the faint of heart. This is a Grand Rapids rock and metal bar. Pros+The music is loud, the crowd is rowdy, and the drinks are stiff. Probably not the ideal date location, but if youre ready to let loose, this is the place to do it. Drink prices are great, and shows are always free. Mulligans Pub never charges covers or entry fees, yet still fairly pays their performers. Order the Mulligans Stew.Cons-The bouncers and staff have attitude. While they do their job well, they give what they get. Treat them, or their patrons badly, and they will gladly eject you. Mulligans Pub is like a family type environment. All the regulars and staff know each other, and watch out for each other, so if you cause trouble, you will get trouble. Overall, theyre nice people, who perform their job well. Just dont expect high class restaurant treatment. Also their pool cues and tables are in rough shape. So if youre going to play billiards, its recommended to bring your own cue.Warnings!Mulligans is loud. If youre soft spoken, or want a quiet relaxed environment, this isnt your bar. The jukebox has a warning that if you play unwanted music, the bar will skip it. Remember this is a rock and metal bar. Unwanted music is typically met with Boos, and that song skipped altogether. No money back for bad jukebox choices. Also, the jukebox is usually pretty loaded down with songs. If you play a song late, you risk it not playing at all. The play first function is helpful here if you shovel out the cash. The street out front is the smoking area. Theres usually some odd shenanigans going on out there. Also, youre bound to meet one of Grand Rapids friendly vagrant community. Theyre usually very nice, and occasionally offer gifts for nothing in return. Mulligans signature drink, Mulligans Stew is dangerous. Its a very tasty and easy-to-down shot, but its far stronger than it tastes. Many a blackout have been attributed to Mulligans Stew, it uses a cream liqueur that might make some feel sick when drank with other alcohols. Also these stews can be ignited due to the presence of Bacardi 151. The Pub does not light them for you, and encourages you to ignite at your own risk. Ive seen beards and faces burned from lit stews. Use common sense.Overall, Mulligans is always fun, always unique, and always filled with interesting and diverse people ready to let loose and celebrate the culture of Grand Rapids. Enjoy.

If Mulligans likes you, you like Mulligans. This is not a place for the weak of heart. With loud punk music, and a grungy vibe its the perfect place for those who dont fit in other places. They have great shows, pool tables, and a quirky crowd.But also you bad things can happen there if you arent careful...under new management though?

This is old school. This is a true hole. It even smells when you walk in. Its been around a long time for a reason. They take care of there regulars. This place is not for everyone!. It still has a relaxed feeling. Alternative style of people. I like it here.

Dirty and smells bad. They certainly dont put too much time into cleaning the bar top. Both bartenders working were very rude and too busy clucking like chickens to each other to even acknowledge you for a drink order.

Only regulars get the respect that everyone deserves. It took me forever to get noticed and order a drink. And they should seriously reconsider their jukebox policy. If I pay money to hear a song, how does the bartender have the right to skip it (without refunding my money) just because one regular doesnt like it? If they want to limit the genres of music people can play, then they shouldnt allow their customers access to millions of songs. Otherwise, take the jukebox out and buy Spotify like everyone else.

Fun atmosphere, although it leans a bit more on the hipster side. Great deals on drinks however. If youre not looking to spend a whole lot on a night out in GR, Mullys is the place.

If youre looking for a dive bar that has cheap drinks and that certain type of atmosphere, this place is the place youre looking for. It feels like the kind of bar where the regulars are locals.

Best dive in GR! Dont expect anything fancy, but good times will always be had when youre at Mulligans. Check out free music on the weekends, or the hilarious improv group on most Wednesday nights.

Typical punk rock pub with rude drunks and annoying people. Otherside has local shows, $4 PBR pitchers, free hot dog lunch on Sunday.

Its weird, its grungy, vandalism covers every conceivable surface, theres kind of a weird smell about the place...but thats all part of what sets Mullies apart. It is an absolute dive, and I hope it never changes. The music is loud, and the drinks are strong and cheap. Theres no pretention about the place.

As long as youre not an obnoxious person, the staff is amazing and heavy handed when pouring drinks. Also great prices.
