I attended The Mega 80s event held in the Elevation room. Seating is set up around and above the stage and dance floor making it easy to enjoy the band whether dancing or chilling at a table. They have a coat check for $5 which is great to keep your keys and jacket where you can easily find them. The drinks are a bit pricey but I guess that is to be expected at this sort of venue.

The Intersection is the best concert venue Ive been to. When given the option to go to The Intersection or Chicago we always pick here. The staff is so friendly and nice. The shows are done well and local acts are talented. Parking is easy. Drinks are reasonable. This venue brings in a variety of music/ acts.

The Intersection is one of the best places in Grand Rapids to see a show. They have 3 venues that always seem to be booked. The amount of shows they put on is insane. The service is excellent and the prices are affordable. Highly recommended.

Depending on what venue youre going to theres not really enough signs to tell you which side to go on. Thats the only thing I had to say negative about it. But other than that the layouts beautiful the staff is wonderful price of drinks are fair. The bathrooms were very clean. Very good atmosphere in Grand Rapids.

The venue was clean, the capacity regulations were adhered to, the climate control was comfortable. They have a coat check with is a plus for those of us not wanting to rock out with our winter coats on. The only drawback I personally noticed was the acoustic quality was/is not great, it isnt horrible but a better sound system would push this place just that much higher. All in all, no major complaints.

I have been to may shows here. This venue has two stages. One in the front called the stash and then the main stage. And of course the beer prices are over exaggerated so drinking at this location can be very expensive. Bring ear plugs as some bands want to make you deaf. Here is a drawback parking is a joke. Get your wallet out as u will be forced to park in a lot that charges and thats a fact. Inside the location they have the smokeing area outside through the fire doors. Some times the location is packed and u are standing by the doors to the smoker area and they constantly are in your way. In and out in and out all night long. If they moved that area closer to the stash/front of the venue and use those doors for the smokers that would help a lot and make shows more enjoyable. Either way its a good place to watch live bands.

Every show Ive been too at this venue has been wonderful. The staff and bouncers and security are really nice, the bartenders are quick and polite/to the point. The elevation is a great addition to the venue. The shows are safe, friendly, and the crowd is supportive of persons with disabilities, allowing them room, space, and opportunity to view and hear the live music. I love this venue and will never stop going to it. Catch a show here! You wont regret it!

Beware of the staff! The security is made up of a collection drug addicted and mentally unstable bunch. Almost every time Ive been to this place Ive been harassed or even assaulted by a group of bullies with security shirts on. Go to 20 Monroe! Better environment. Better sound quality. Better staff. Better experience. And its all about the experience.

I have been described as socially awkward, so I may not be the most reliable reviewer for such a venue. I also dont drink if I plan on diving, so I cannot comment on bar staff or prices. Overall, about the same experience as youll get at 20 monroe, but the ticket prices are far cheaper. For the most part people left me alone, which is cool. I was out of place, but thats nothing new. Not really much to say otherwise, pretty active place.

Awesome bands, small venue so you get close without spending hundreds for close seats at other venues, nice staff. The only downside was the sound tech sucked and didnt turn vocal up the entire concert. Singer was yelling into mic at times and couldnt hear him or the words. This shouldnt happen at any venue that routinely has concerts, maybe at a bar with live music but not this! Saw Whiskey Myers, which is an awesome band and couldnt hear the singer 1/4 of the time, which was a very big disappointment. Light set up was cool too. Get a new sound tech and be 5 stars.

This place has changed a lot over the years. Rude staff, $75 for a table that is elevated?? Never used to be like that. This used to be the go to place for shows, I don’t go here often anymore. Saw Between the Buried and Me here and it was a amazing show! The staff was okay, and checking in took forever. The line was down the street and around the corner. The venue got so hot it was hard to breath at times (I know this sounds over dramatic but it really was hard!). Better ventilation and a better check in system would make this place a better experience in the summer.

The security of this venue was lacking and the inside was even more so. The shows are fine here. But honestly it can be very sketchy at times. You will see people on drugs and dealers actively trying to sell hard drugs. If their security was better and the staff more attentive the place could get 4 or 5 stars. But until then it only gets 2.

Ive seen more shows than I can count here. Love the place, and they do a good job of pulling in artists that I really want to see and listening to their fans. Bar service is fast, a little pricey, but within expectations. Cant beat the ticket prices, either.I would give full marks, if not for the security team. Theyre thorough, at least. I have had several negative experiences with them, especially in Elevation. They were constantly bugging the VIP ticket holders asking for verification to the point they left their tables just to get away from them. I was pretty much pulled out of the crowd getting gum out of a package and was asked where my drugs are in another instance, in which I argued with him for a minute or so and barely escaped getting removed from the venue.Maybe hire some new guys that arent ruining your guests experiences? Im willing to forgive and forget cause I love this place. Thanks for everything guys!

I dont drink so not sure about the pricing. Had many bars open. Would go again. Oh they have three sections theres the basement, front and back. My event was in the back. There was three events when I went. Confused about what line/ door to go but they had signs posted so very convenient. Only thing would be parking. They charge $15 to park in the lot closest other wise street parking or downtown parking lot which also there is a fee.

The Intersection is an awesome venue to catch shows at. Its not a HUGE place, but its spacious enough to get down on the dance floor and enjoy an intimate show. The bartenders have always been friendly with my visits. Kind of pricey drinks, but thats usually expected at these types of places. Its also located near quite a few nearby eateries, which makes it convenient for a quick bite beforehand.I also had a chance to finally check out Elevation @ The Intersection and see one of my favorite bands. Pros:The drinks seem reasonably priced (I paid $6.50 for a whiskey sour). There usually is a line for the bar, but its never been a terrible wait.I always had fun at the shows Ive gone to, and theyve been worth the price (Ive only been to a few but they were all around $30 if you buy in person. I heard that online the prices are more expensive - about $50 for the same show). The staff have always been professional and nice. Pretty quick to get in, only ever had to wait a few minutes outside at most. They have coat check and a space outside for smoking/taking a breather. The bathrooms are always clean, and they have signs reminding people about consent which I appreciate in general but also in a space like this. Water fountains to stay hydrated, which is important in this setting! There are a few tables and chairs in the main space for those who need or want them. Its located right downtown, so within walking distance of lots of things (Van Andel, Studio Park, various bars, restaurants, hotels, etc). Right near Central Station, so all of the bus routes will get you within walking distance. Lots of parking downtown too (unsure about at the venue itself).Cons:Ive heard the tickets can be pricier if bought online. There are stairs to get in the front, Im not sure if its accessible elsewhere to people with disabilities or mobility issues. Its a concert venue, so it can be loud and have lots of lights and smoke. If these things bother you or pose a risk, I would not go unless you know a show isnt going to be like that.
