Went here for the improve festival and had a great time! The place is small, which I enjoyed and they did serve alcohol. It was a great time just sitting back and laughing. I wish we had something similar around me, because Id definitely be back!

Let me start by saying my wife and I are much older then the normal crowd there. The show was at 10:00pm at night so I guessing it was formatted for the younger crowd. For the price it was a great value and the crowd does direct the program I just do not understand why every conversation has to contain words not appropriate in society. (The reason for the 4 stars). Also the music prior to the show was so loud my my wife and I could not talk. The actors were great and witty with the ability to have a come back in sort order. We were greeted with a friendly person who took us directly to our seats.Parking is free and close by in a parking lot.Maybe next time we will try a earlier show.Improv is not our thing but this was a great opportunity to go out for a cheap date night.Hats off to the actors who really did a great job to perform to the crowds direction. The people running the place were great as well, very friendly.

Enjoyable venture for an evening out. They have a fully stocked beverage bar and lounge. We left feeling well entertained for the small price.

My wife and it went to the Christmas show they had. It was mildly funny. Performances were pretty good, but the humor was just not gut busting hilarious like Ive had at comedy shows in the past.

Fun show with good laughs. Good parking (although in back so hard to find initially). Good fun and worth the price. Eager to see the planned improvements of bar and food. Will definitely go back. Great alternative fun to do with friends rather just going to a bar.

What an amazing, unique place with wonderful people! I attended a brunch which featured tiny breakfast and the review and my cheeks hurt from laughing! They were absolutely fantastic and from the sounds of it, they have plans to do more with the space. Looking forward to going back!

The wife, myself, and two friends came out to see their Friday night Battle Bots improv show. The show was professional and very well balanced. Brought me to tears a few times. Beautiful venue, and just overall a lovely time to be had.

Excellent sketch and Improv shows. Now featuring a bar with snacks. They also host classes for Improv, comedic acting, and sketch writing. A great addition to the growing culture of West Grand Rapids.

Brought my daughter and we saw the early sketch show. It was a solid 80 minutes or more, so the cost of the ticket ($15 each) was worth it. Anything less and I dont know it would be worth that price. Many comedy clubs are about $10. But theyre trying to get their location remodeled and off the ground, so I get it.The talent was solid. The comedy was a mix of a few pre-taped video segments and sketch. For a city the size of GR, I was surprised at the talent. I think most people will enjoy the show. I was glad they didnt do too much toying with the audience, I am not a real fan of that, and its usually just filler for when a troupe doesnt have enough written material.I will be back, I want to see their improv.

Enjoyed the 7:00 show on a Saturday night. Fast-paced sketch & improv show with dynamic cast. Laughed so hard & talked about it all night. Easy parking and within one block there are bars & restaurants.

Comedy Outlet Monday was a blast (and a bargain). My fiancé and I stayed for the optional participation hour after the performance and got to perform with some of the comics we had just watched. Will definitely check out one of the house teams on a Friday or Saturday date night soon.Hope this new venue gets the attention (and attendance!) it deserves in the months and years to come.

My wife and I came to see the Comedy Projects Laughfest show. It was extremely fun and intellectually clever. The cast performed an amazing improv performance that lasted about and hour and a half. If you are looking for entertainment in the Grand Rapids area I would highly recommend checking out a show.

I was very excited to visit a new comedy club in town that I ASSUMED (my first mistake) would be entirely run by robots. To my dismay, I have since discovered that this venue is staffed by actual, caring, fleshy humans with real feelings and ambitions.I ASSUMED (my second mistake) that parking would be sparse due to the popular area and ended up spending $11 on a Lyft, only to discover that there is a bountiful parking lot behind the venue. I expect reimbursement from the owners. The location is conveniently set near the perfect intersection of Leonard Street’s greatest hits: Long Road Distillers, Mitten Brewing, 2 Scotts Barbecue, and a Taco Bell.I adhere to a rigid schedule and love consistency. I usually enjoy taking in syndicated reruns and eating the same flavor of Lean Cuisine after a long day at the office. Unfortunately, this venue seems to be putting out an enormous variety of shows that seem to appeal to an enormous variety of people. No thank you!I’d like to finish this review by remarking on how the rewards for the Kickstarter campaign were exactly what I expected. When I first contributed I selected an XXL size for the shirt but have since moved into XL territory (my third and final mistake). I really wish the owners had anticipated that. I bet robots would have!

Being a bit of a country bumpkin, I had just run into town with my inorganic companions to pick up some power converters. See, I was done with all my chores so I thought a bit of time wasting was in order. Well we got to Tosche Station, it’s kind of hidden back behind Long Road Distillery, and the three of us went into Tosche Station, and the proprietor scowled at us and said, “We don’t serve their type in here!”.So I said, “Dude. It’s 2019. Come on.”The guy waves me off and says, “Try The Comedy Project across the street. They’ve got a weird robot fetish…or something. I don’t get it.”Well say no more! A wink’s as good as a nudge to a blind bat. And the four of us, plus my little dog, K9, started down the side walk toward The Comedy Project. It was easy enough to find, and my stress level was instantly lowered as I walked through the parking lot. See. I have no problem parking on the street. I really think it’s quite easy, but some of the people, well the only people, or person, that I shared a home with for the last 28 years, can’t parallel park. So usually if I try to go somewhere in town, well, that means parallel parking, but not here! The Comedy Project has a lot. So, screw you BOB. I’m going somewhere that has a robot fetish, serves my inorganic companions’ type, and I don’t have to parallel park the car for my wife! So, we walk inside and all I want to say is, “My God. It’s full of stars.” It really isn’t, but I’ve just been thinking about great Kubrick films lately. Then I see it. Lot’s of flashing lights, buttons, and gizmos. Yes, the box office has gizmos and gadgets a plenty, but no mermaids. I’m looking at this contraption and ask, “What is it?”The nice box office attendant informs me that it’s a historical artifact from Egypt and if you align the glyphs properly it opens a portal to a desert world where you can get the spice Melange, or a desert world were you and James Spader can eat something that tastes just like chicken. I’m a little disappointed because it doesn’t open a portal to a dessert world, but then the attendant tells me that they were only kidding and it’s a railroad simulator. Sweet. Then I see it. Well I see something better than it, because I already saw it with the railroad simulator. And what’s better than a railroad simulator? That’s right a mother F-ing bar.So, I’m going to put this stream of consciousness vomit spew to bed and summarize. The Comedy Project has it all. Parking, Trains, and Alcohol…and sketch comedy…and improv…but most importantly, they have a robot fetish…but no portals to dessert worlds. So I guess they don’t really have it all, but almost all.Epilogue: The unknown future rolls toward us. I face it for the first time with a sense of hope, because if a machine, a robot, can learn the value of laughter, maybe we can too.
