I love this park. However its very popular and easy to lose your child amongst the others if you are not watching them intently. I wish there was a fence around it due to it being close to the road with so many children. Gives me anxiety lol

Ive been coming here since I was a kid (when the rocket was still on the ground and climbable) and now I bring my kids. It rarely has sketchy looking people and is always well kept. The playground equipment is in great condition

Beautiful weather today. The park has bathroom facilities, several pergolas/pavilions where you can reserve and have a party. Lots of shade trees around the park, not too many over the park so best time to go is morning or evening.

I love the surroundings I love the environment my dog loves it when my dogs happy Im happy I like to walk around and enjoy the sunshine just a pleasant place to go to spend a day or an hour have your lunch enjoy the scenery

First time I was ever there a nice little part I walked around with my dog and it was very enjoyable early in the morning so yes I would prefer being there right now and then being here working all day

It was my granddaughters favorite place. There is a beautiful tree there planted in her memory

Great park, I used to love playing in the rocket when I was a kid. Biggest mistake was when they moved the rocket onto that pole so kids cant play on it. Might as well not even call it rocket park, its a great little park and I love it but I only give 3 stars because they moved the rocket. The rest of the equipment is great for the kids, nice clean, no homeless problem here. It would be nice if the parking was better

Our 2 year old loves this park! She used to be afraid of slides but loves the ones in the 2-5 year old section of the playground.

Used to go here all the time to climb the rocket as a boy. And now they have built an awesome playground there! Good times

Small park and get over crowded quick

Historical landmark for sure. Before the rocket was mounted we used to be able to play in it! However this park is still my number one go to for picnics, birthday parties, and family gatherings.

I absolutely love this park and love how when they redid it they found a way to keep the old rocket there. I played on it when I was a kid and my kids did to so its a pretty special place for us. Now I play there with my grand babies

Very clean... love the ground of the playground being spongy like. My boys loved playing on all the equipment.

We had my Grandsons 1st birthday party here with 25-30 friends and relatives attending. A good time was had by all and the park was clean, well taken care of with clean bathrooms and plenty of trash cans for cleanup. I would definitely recommend this park for any event or a nice place to relax.

During the day this park rocks! But at night theres lots of teenagers with foul mouths.

An awesome park for friends and family, a very safe friendly environment or a family can be and have no worries. Restroom amenities as well as water fountain. A huge park to play at with lush green grass and a huge jungle gym!

Great safe place to take the kids. Far enough away from the homeless shelter to not have any transients like other parks. Great kids equipment.

This park is pretty cool! Big and little kid play gear. Pavilion, bathrooms, and other random benches all around the park that offer seating in the sun and in the shade. Benches offer secluded picnics, yet close enough to keep an eye on the kiddos while they play. Would recommend park to anyone!

Grand Junction Parks employees do a great job of keeping this park clean and manicured. The play area is handicap accessible, and equipment is geared for toddlers to pre-teens. Weekends through fall are busy so you will need a reservation for the shelters. Sidewalks around the park are clear of debris and smooth enough for bikes, scooters, strollers, etc.

This park was lovely. There is a great playground area for kids that looked like a lot of fun. There were bathrooms, great shady trees, benches and more.

Theres a fair amount of parking around the park. Childrens activity and swing area. Covered picnic and grill. Clean bathrooms. Typically well maintained. I love this park!

My children grew up playing in the rocket and now my grandchildren are enjoying the updated park. Great for birthdays too.

This little park was a joy to visit. The playground equipment was very diverse, lots of slides and things to climb. There is a section for 2-5 year olds and a section for 5-12 year olds. There are lots of trees and cool soft grass, picnic tables, benches and a pavilion with tables and bathrooms. You cant climb the rocket anymore, but its a fun, clean park with smile play structures to serve many children at the same time. My boys are 3 and 5 and we spent 2 hours there. They wanted to stay longer, but we had other things on the schedule.

This is one of the best parts to take your children. I like it because it’s a nice clean neighborhood park and you don’t have to drive too far to get to it.

Great place for a Nerf gun war... And we cleaned up the Nerf ammunition after we were done.

My family has always lived this park. They have two shelters with bbq grills and plenty of places to sit. The playground is great for all ages. I just wish it was a smoke free facility.

Except for the noise of the lawn mower and weed whacking crews, the park was a great place to be. Does the city publish when yard work is scheduled so we know when NOT to be there?

Beat park for kids. Not too big, not too small & perfect for toddlers & older kids. Unlike Canyons View Park, here @ Rocket Park you can easily keep an eye on everybody.

Im not alone in my assessment.I would tell designer to his face..Rocket Park has unsafe play area. Little kids could easily fall through openings.Designer not very smart.

Not an amazing park, but very nice place to take the kids to or go for a picnic if you live nearby. Well kept, and just a cute park in general. Theres public restrooms and covered seating areas which makes it a good place for a barbecue, birthday party, etc.

One of the most unique parks Ive been to. The rocket ship theme very cool. Very clean facilities. Lots of shade trees for relaxing and watch the kids play!

The place looked really fun but had some rundown slides and other play things. It was very full the day we stopped by so we didn’t stay long, but the kids still enjoyed it.

Great park kids enjoy the swings. But over all its one of the best parks in grand junction. Nice clean restrooms. Which are open during the day in winter. Very nice people seem to go there.

Nice little park. Equipment is newer and in great shape. Restrooms were decent, liked the covered area with picnic tables. A good time for a quick lunch with or without kids.

Both my sons seem to really enjoy the playground here and it is never over crowded. Has a decent playground for toddlers as well. Only complaint is during toddler birthday people were smoking weed and drinking.

Lots of things for kids to play with!!! Caution dont go when it is blistering hot out. Equipment is very hot! I didnt think about that before taking my 2 year old :( There is shady places to sit and relax though the equipment is not shaded.

The city does a good job on keeping this park clean. Rocket Park is a great park to hold family functions, birthday parties, etc. You must reserve/pay for the gazebo area for your functions ahead of time.

Great shade and benches for a picnic. The playground is perfect for children 2-6 years old but a little boring for older kids. Theres a lot of healthy grass for playing ball games.

Ive been going to Rocket Park every since I moved here 22 years ago and I still say its an awesome park! Just wish they wouldnt have put the Rocket in the air! I have alot of awesome memories from that park!

Love this park, its just a 3 block walk from home. There has been some vandalism on one of the slides that I hope gets repaired soon but its a great neighborhood park.

This has long been my kids favorite park. It is getting a litte run down and needs the equipment repair as of this post, but once it does, this park will again be a shining star of our city
