Very close to I-70, you can constantly hear it. Camp sites are packed together, pretty views but not any trails in walking distance. Amenities are available, showers, flushing toilets, clothes washer, but not very peaceful.

Great place to fish, walk, and get in touch with nature right in the middle of town. Get place to go look for birds and you never know, you might run to all sorts of other interesting wildlife. Happened across this fox last time I was out for a walk!

A beautiful park with plenty of trails, chance to see wildlife, lakes and the Colorado river for recreation. We were only here a few short hours during our first ever visit, but we will be back.

Not great fishing maybe they should stock it once and a while, but close to town and easy to get to, but they charge you 9 dollars to get in the state park

Great fishing here all year round, with bathrooms, docks, and parking to go with it. There is the state park fee but that’s not too bad.

A beautiful park with lots of easy trails, many of which are paved. There are lots of birds of many different kinds to look at and listen to. It is shady in the summer and cool by the river, there are fish in the ponds. A wonderful way to spend a day

This could be a good place to visit if it was taken care of. I take school classes here for education trips, but would not visit on my own. Not worth paying, yet!

This is a great trail to bike, walk, or jog. Great scenery and very peaceful. Everyone Ive encountered on the trail have been courteous. I prefer walking my dogs and jogging on the trail because we dont have to deal with street traffic. The trail is well maintained and goes from Fruita to Palisade.

The area we went to had tons of weeds. No native flowers at all. We tried numerous spots. For the high price of admission, not really worth it.

Gjs jewel for in town nature. Over the last 12 years fishing has declined in quality due to over harvisting and an influx of people. Was completely choked with nonnative noxious weeds which is getting slightly better but take your allergy pill.

Its a great place if you want to be harrased by homeless people. Needles and drug use rampant, and always another hobo to Insist that since you drove here in a car you obviously have money to give them...Grand Junction is a shodow of what it used to be before the homeless influx

They get no stars. Only reason there is a star is because I had to out something there. We caught some bass thought we were fishing legally. Had no idea what we took wasnt the long enough be cause information nation we had was 15 minimum and 4 was the limit. We didnt see any signs, they were there but there were nothing on them to show any importance in reading them Something that would catch your eye. Turns out that the sign said the regulations were different they had to be much bigger and could only keep 2. We honestly had no intention if breaking any laws. Then they turned around and gave the fish to another licensed fisherman. What the hay and we got tickets. It was an honest mistake. They could have informed us about the law, I didnt care if they gave the fish away. I dont think we were treated very nicely or fairly. Also they said they were going to write only 2 tickets and wrote 3 instead. We were lied to. They werent very courteous either.
