Awesome, short hike. Once you get to the top, you can go on the Eastern side of the Liberty Cap (the other side that you cant see when you reach the trail marker at the top) and then climb the metal rods to get to the top. Unique spot with a good view!

Short but steep hike, just over 2 miles to the cap. Can get crowded later in the day.

Great hike with amazing views! Took us about 2 hr or so. Was about 4 miles. It is pretty steep so be sure to be prepared for that. No toilet at the trail head either. You can make this hike longer, but we stopped at the top! Parking lot is small, so get there early.

Difficult trail but amazing view and the challenge is worth it. Saw a herd of Big Horn sheep not even 20 feet from us, though thats not uncommon to see on or near the monument. Highly recommend this trail. Fight through the steep incline for the awesome payoff at the top.

This takes you from the bottom of the monument to the top, very difficult, very fun, great views

Good trail, beautiful veiws of the Grand Valley. Google seems to get confused on the directions so I recommend getting direction to Wildwood Drive rather than the trailhead itself

Great hike. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen as it is a very exposed hike with little little shade.

Listened to the ranger tell me to take the Corkscrew trail. She did not steer us wrong.

Steep going up to the cap. About 1,000 ft gain over one mile for the real steep part. Once up there its a nice slight slope 5 miles to the other trailhead.Going left instead through the canyon is nice too. Flat and rolling. A couple miles in you lose cell reception and the grass starts scratching your legs.

Great trail, give it an hour and a water bottle up and an hour and a water bottle down and go as early as possible. We left at 7am and it was already HOT by the time we got the top. If you are comfortable free climbing there is still a way up the tip of the Cap on the west side. Either way the view is superb!
