I love this place! I went there to capture photos of the wildlife. The trails are beautiful. They’re surrounded by nature and easy to navigate. There’s also a big pond that is home to some domestic ducks. The pond is a nice place to walk around also. In the woods, I observed many birds and several squirrels. There’s also a small area with farm animals. The farm is cool, however I wish there were more animals. Apart from that, this place rocks! The trails are wonderful!

Our favorite area park for the variety offers. Playground with options for young kids and older kids. Full farm with animals. Wide open fields. Pond for fishing. Trails for running/walking. Football, softball, baseball fields and tennis courts. Everything you need to have a fun family day at the park.

This is a great park! It’s big, open, and has lots of good hiking trails. The kids also always have a great time at the playground. The equipment is very well maintained and is safe. Likewise all the trails are maintained and are a lot of fun! I will say that the trails aren’t labeled and there are a lot of forks, but I think that just adds to the fun of exploration.

Although I visited the Meadow Farm on a weekday in February and not much was going on, I enjoyed it very much. I leisurely walked around the farm, took some pictures, and read the historical markers. Because of the farm animals, kids as well as their parents will like this place. Henrico County deserves a lot of credit for preserving this historical farm.

This is a very nice park with a great playground for kids. There are picnic tables right there at the playground so you can have a picnic while the kids play. There is an historical area where you can tour the grounds of the farmhouse that is on the property. Im not sure about whether the farmhouse is open or not. We didnt stop there during our visit so Im by sure about when, if, or how much a tour would be. We were there mainly for the playground and to have a picnic.

Not safe for pedestrians on the roads. Otherwise would be a fair park. They invite literally hundreds of vehicles to the playing fields, leaving walkers, joggers and bicyclers to share the same roads. There are no speed bumps on most of the roadways. There are no sidewalks. There is no enforcement of any rules. Worst yet, many of the drivers will speed up to get around you and don’t seem to care how close they get. If this was done to a police officer, the driver could be charged with attempted murder, but the rest of us just get to dive for the ditch. Don’t let your children ride or walk in this park, it’s not safe!Following up later. I brought this to the attention of the appropriate Henrico county department. Of course, as is their standard procedure, I received no response. You have to keep nagging them over and over before you get the first response.

A fantastic park that is beautiful and full of interesting areas to explore. Youll find a large playground for ages 2-12, picnic shelters, walking, hiking, and jogging paths, a small lake, a museum area with a 200 year old house with public tours, farm animals, and more. This is a great place to bring your leashed dog, your family (leashed or not), have a birthday party, or just enjoy the trees and the lake. All for free!
