Beautiful park! It has a wonderful trail circling the lake. It has a interesting history which is posted on a display at the front of the park.

Small peaceful park. Dog friendly. Around 0.7 miles around the lake. Good to take a evening or morning stroll. You do see people fishing and taking pictures. The lake water is not clean or clear. Beware of mosquitoes.

I like this park. Its got some great views, and is less manicured than nearby parks. Great to go for a walk/run. A small playground area for kids is nice too. My daughter loves the fish, ducks and turtles.

This is a great park with plenty of parking, a lovely little nature trail with bridges across the water, a play area for kids, picnic areas, benches along the trail, and good fishing, too. We had a good time and cant wait to get back again.

Fine. Great place to get the kids out of the house. Hardly anyone there. Look for the turtles on the fallen tree at the edge of the lake. One big snapping turtle jumped into the water. There were 12 more on the log.

Is so nice and clean also good for a power walk, people around sharing their smiles

This is a nice park but a restroom in visible range would make this place so awesome. They need to clean the pond too. A walk around the park in the evening is what Ive seen the most visitors enjoy other than the ones fishing off the pier. Good bass in here.

Love taking walks and running here with my children. A few of the residents (geese) are bullies, but its all in good fun. We even saw a bald eagle circle overhead several times during our latest visit. Very special!

It is a 3/4 mile trail. It is an easy, very nice and clean walk. Not very crowded

A small park to take a stroll in the evening. I took my dog fora walj around the park. You can go fishing or just have a time out with family.also have park benches around the lake.

Great place to visit and enjoy the day

Great place - to visit the pavillion is clean and the bathrooms are really convenient. We had our granddaughter’s birthday party here. It is a great location- parking for party preparations are near the pavilion for easy access. There is a playground near, walking trail and plenty of trees.

Its a great place for parties, BBQs, jogging, nature walk. AND POKEMON GO YAAAAAAY.

Enjoyed a quick lunch here and walk around the lake. It was great to see so many out enjoying the park. Parking was plenty. Brought our lunch and sat in the picnic area closest to restrooms. Very quiet and relaxing area.

Really nice lake to walk around. Nice trail with a fishing pier. There is also a picnic table area and playground. I think it is 3/4 a mile loop around lake. Great for younger kids. Also, lots of people walking dogs on trail.

Great place for a trail run...like a short one..each lap is .75 miles...I always run like three laps to stay nice and healthy and the passing scenery helps you complete your laps

This is such a nice little park. The walking trail is nice, shaded, and has a couple of challenging hills. Theres lots of scenery and wildlife, such as turtles, fish, and heron, to see as well.

Great trail around the lake, lots of access for bank fishing. You cant fish from the bridge over the dam, but it makes since due to its narrow pass. Didnt catch anything the day I went but it is a beautiful park. Theres a kids play area and restrooms as well.

My granddaughter loved the playground. Wasnt overcrowded and easy to navigate. Fun bridges to cross overlooking the lake. Kids were under the bridge fishing. Lots of picnic areas with built in grills. Parking was easy and an officer was on site checking on things which made me feel much safer.

Very nice! Clean lots of trash cans bags for dog poop. The lake has lots of turtles. There were quite a few gusse and duck.

This park is beautiful with a lot of nature, there was a lot of people walking and jogging when I went there, it also have a lot of history behind it, perfect place to take your family or just relax and take in some good nature scenery and get some fresh air.

Good basic trail for an easy stroll with the dog. There is a playground with slides and other equipment. There parking lot is easy to spot from the road. There isnt much to see or do here, but I appreciate the efforts Henrico makes to place parks and green spaces in neighborhoods.

This is Echo Lake (more like a big pond) located in the West End of Henrico in Virginia. Joggers favorite place because the path encircles the lake. Turtles, fish, geese and birds are plentiful. Catch and release fishing is allowed. Best time of day to visit is in the morning. Picnicking is allowed, radio controlled sailboats allowed too. Echo Lake is tucked in a nice residential area, at the back of the business district in the West End. Not many people know of this place. Pictures in my google+

Echo Lake....so peaceful and filled with calm. The trail is full circled with connecting bridges. The timed fountain is an accent of beauty and very soothing.

This park has always been a very nicely maintained neighborhood oriented park. Its great to take your dogs or your kids on a walk. Mostly shaded, it has a play area and a picnic area, along with offering a small fishing pier.

A quiet, out-of-the way park with one trail loop around .75 miles that travels around a lake. Also has restrooms, one pavilion, and a small playground. Youll spot turtles, geese, ducks, a great blue heron, song birds, and sometimes a hawk or two, along with other aquatic life.

Good place to walk

Lots of wildlife to check out and easy path to follow. Fair amount of trash in water and a single trail are downsides. Overall though, nice local park with easy access.

Dont let the size of thus park fool you. Its a beautiful place to walk and hang out.

It may be a Richmond commonality, but Ive noticed that the parks around here have huge lakes (ponds?) with walking trails around them. It makes the park nice to be at year round (barring intolerable weather). For those that live near Echo Lake its a great park to have. For those that havent been, you should definitely visit.
