Really enjoyed this place. Loved being able to be so close up to so many ostriches and alpacas and others. Maybe more fun than a zoo in that sense. Before I thought of ostriches and emus as big scary birds, but found that they actually are not. The domestic chickens were the more vicious and ruthless. Alpacas are simply just adorable. We spend few hours and had lunch there. And of course the children enjoyed it. Recommend in buying carrots, it’s worth it.

It was a very nice experience bringing kids here. Good variety of animals, staff is friendly. They have sensible covid restrictions in place. Parking is easy, restrooms available. Parking is very dusty, FYI.You can buy some animal food while ticketing. Kids loved feeding animals which are all friendly and well cared for. Hoping to come back again!

Nice animal farm for kids at all ages. It will take you one to two hours to play and feed animals here. Masks are required, more safe to stay outside. But carrots and veggies from home are not allowed to bring inside of farm for animal’s safety. Better protect your kids with suncream and hat. Please feed the animals based on the guided paper. You have to check in first, and buy a bag of carrot for $5 if you needed. And then the staff will give you brief information for feeding before you enter the farm with a bucket of pellet and alfalfa for free. You may save $3 for each with online purchase. Better come in the morning, rabbits are so full to eat anything in the late afternoon.

This place was not what I expected but the kids had fun. The price did not Mach the service per say. I mean, its someone of a guided petting zoo without a guide. Even though it looks big when you walk in, its really not that big. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly so thats a plus. Those ostriches are huge up close.

This was a last minute stop while on vacation with 4 and 5 year old. Happy we found it!! Nice and friendly lady running the place, She was helpful. Bucket of feed pellets and alfalfa included with ticket. (You can purchase a bag of carrots for $5) They have fresh eggs at reasonable price. They have a well stocked gift/ souvenir shop. They have a couple reptiles( not sure what they were as i never got close. Terrified!!) They do have many ostriches, alpacas, 2 horses, 2 miniature ponies, couple Emus, many goats, cows, Suay sheep, lots of chickens, pot bellied pigs, los of bunny rabbits. We stoped by right after Halloween they had a pumpkin patch and maze for the kids! You are able to go at your own pace no time limit! They have 2 porter potties for guest . Very windy!!

Large family (4 kids) = kinda expensive.... Dropped $100 at the door. Drove 45mins to get there, so we decided it was a one time thing. The experience was fine, but Ive done bigger and better for cheaper on the East coast.......... California has got to give!

Animal lovers dream come true. All the animals here were so friendly and seemed to be really happy and healthy. I noticed some of the baby goats kinda choking on pieces of carrot people give them because theyre too big of pieces and they dont thoroughly chew because theyre young and still learning, so I was very careful feeding them. Other then that all around heart warming experience and awesome place to visit. 10/10

It was fun. Kids liked it a lot. Consider bringing your own carrots to save. Or not - to support a local business.Towards the end of the day, there are fewer people but the animals are all fed and wont eat much.

Great place for a quick outing! Staff are all wearing masks and there is proper signage for distancing. Purchase tickets online for a $3 discount. You can buy a bag of carrots at the front (10 carrots for $5). Admission comes with a bucket of alfalfa and pellets for the ostriches. We arrived around 9:30 AM on a Friday, and there were only 2 other families there, so very easy to distance. By the time we left close to 11:00, there were many more people, also some of the animals werent as hungry for carrots, as they were when we fed them earlier. Thank you Gilroy Ostrich Farm for an easy and fun experience!

Super fun and I felt comfortable with the safety measures they took to prevent Covid-19. We went on a windy day so I recommend sunglasses to keep from getting dust/hay particles in your eyes. It was cool today, but Id recommend sunblock and hats as well since there is very little shade! Our 1.5 year old had a blast!

Quaint little animal park with super adorable animals! When we visited it had baby alpacas, ostriches, and goats.Perfect place to visit during this COVID pandemic as its outdoors and socially distancing is easy. The emus and ostriches were rather large and a little scary, but once you overcome your initial fear, a great experience feeding them.Go visit!

I wanted to do something different. Leave the city for a few hours, Drove out to Gilroy, picked up some fresh produce, from produce stands along side the roads, visited a couple farms, and one was the Gilroy Ostrich Farm. I had a blast. They have other animals, but I was more fascinated by the ostriches. They hand you, a bag a feed, and off you go. Really friendly staff, to boot. I left with lots of pictures, a couple souvenirs, ie ostrich egg, post cards etc then back to the city For a close encounter with ostriches, I highly recommend. Tho I was alone, at the time, great place for kids. Small place, but yet fun

Visited the place after we spotted it on our way to Gilroy. It was our first time. They had animals you can feed and a very small reptile area. We ended up giving in without knowing the price till I got to the register it was pricey 40 dollars for me & my daughter they did give food to feed the animals but wasnt enough they had a mini corn maze, pumpkin patch we we there early they had more that need to be decorated . Overall it was good time

Fun for me and my kid! They have bunnies, reptiles, sheep, goats, pigs, alpaca, horses, chickens, emus, and of course ostriches. They give you a bucket of hay and bird food with entrance. We also got the large bag of carrots ($10) and it was plenty to feed all the animals. I definitely recommend the carrots since the animals love them. The animals, even the ostriches, seemed very friendly.COVID review: very easy to keep our distance from other families, but unfortunately they dont require masks in the outdoor area where most of the animals are, so there were lots of people walking around without masks. Id still recommend it just because it is easy to stay far away from other people.

Interesting farm and my kid had a great time. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because I didn’t feel like the staff took the COVID precautions as seriously. The woman who checked our tickets was wearing her mask below her nose. The buckets with feed were not wiped after each family. I would recommend this place but only after the pandemic ends.

My friend posted about this place on social media and I happened to have my 6 yr old nephew with me. I was super excited to check it out because it gives us a way to bond and spend time. We loved it! I live in s.san jose and it’s definitely worth the drive from my house. Paying online is a little cheaper than in person. And if you check in on Yelp you get a free popsicle. Extra brownie points if you ask me. Thankfully it was a nice day outside not too hot and we had a great time together. Will definitely be back. All my friends were asking about the place when i posted fun we had.

UPDATE: We were able to visit this last weekend and did enjoy our experience. I noticed that the staff was doing a fairly good job adhering to their CV-19 protocols, although some of the other guests were not. We saw adults breaking social distancing guidelines several times, especially indoors in the small animal petting area (apparently baby bunnies you can hold are too irresistible for some folks to wait their turn!). I also checked the hours and called on them too, and it appears to have been fixed. The farms hours and days of operation are not clear from the web or through calling. We purchased 5 tickets to visit during our stay-cation and drove out around 45 minutes on Thursday Jun 25, 2020. Place was closed, despite us calling their automated answering system en route - which confirmed they were open 7 days a week. Happy to revise this review upward if/when we ever get out there and get the tour we paid for. But for now, this business deserves 1 star.

Took my 3 year old son & 10 year old nephew they had a blast and didnt want to leave. It was relaxing for me getting away from city life and on the quiet farm. We enjoyed feeding the animals and employee Niki was amazing she was super knowledgeable and more than happy to answer all of our questions and guide us. I was actually relieved there were no excessive covid measures being taken and that we could enjoy ourselves in peace. Will definitely be coming back and reccomend

We were suprised by how run down the place is. Animals, especially the ostriches appear stressed and not well kept. Feathers plucked down, walking in piles of poop, etc. The pens are run down, dirty old chicken wire, not something youd find in a well kept petting zoo. Lots of hay and dirt blowing up in the breeze. I would describe this as more of a private property trailer park farm and youre kind of paying to feed their animals for them. You pay $14 to get in and they hand you an old plastic beach bucket full of hay and bird food. Then extra money for a couple of old, cut up carrots to give to the animals.I would describe as more of a stop for 20 to 30 minutes if youre passing through. Not a destination to venture to see.

Easily the best petting zoo i have ever been to, highly highly recommend if your passing by this area. However, make sure you come from the right direction, otherwise its near impossible to cut across the highway with all the traffic. So Id recommend checking maps before heading up there, chances are you are going to return the same way (from the trip you are on) so that might be easier.

Self guided tours called the number we got from google. Nobody answered the phone. We would have gladly paid to feed the animals. Some guy with a beard came out of nowhere and rudely asked if we paid and why we were on private property without paying. We told him we have called 2xs while on the property nowhere to pay or leave money?? This place is a joke.
