This place is so amazing! The very first time I went I knew I wanted to keep coming back so I got pass to go all year round! I have a 2 year old and this place is perfect for him and all the younger kids to set them up for the bigger theme parks! They do make it to where the older kids will not be bored as well as the adults for they find the perfect balance to entertain all ages! The only difference that puts this family park above and beyond all the other theme parks is you dont wait hours in a line to go in or even on a ride the best of all is the beauty and the uniqueness! They have jaw dropping beauty everywhere you look! They have the most beautiful places in the world put together in one spot! And the flowers and trees that they have all over the place are simply amazing there are times where I go to this place just to see the beauty of nature! But then during the holidays is the most fun especially during Christmas it is absolutely phenomenal all the work they put into it, all of the different colors they really put on a good show with each and every holiday! And the workers there are amazing I have not ran into one rude person that works there everyone Ive talked to is friendly and helpful and all of the ones I have talked to know what theyre talking about when I ask them a question!P.S.Yes I over did the pictures but I just couldnt choose I had already took half of the pictures off that I originally wanted to post! And yes this is all the same amazing Gilroy Gardens family theme park in all the pictures just different times of year Im sorry some of the pics are blurry, lets not forget I have a 2 year old pulling on my arm to see the pictures I take lol

Great theme park for kids up to around 10 years old. The previous weekend I went to Great America and this place is considerably better if you children are young (under 10). Almost all the rides are accessible to small kids except for a few roller coasters and the swings. Has a beautiful scenery with lots of plants. And there are lots of shaded areas.Definitely plan to go back again. They also have a water park which hadn’t opened yet, so I look forward to checking that out the next time.

Cannot believe that this is the first year we have been to the Gilroy Gardens. The best family theme park if you have kids under 10. Everything about the place is well thought through. Very shaded park for the hot summer days. Park is pretty clean and the crew very nice.Rides are excellent for the age group and the park is relatively small for the little ones. Little to no wait time for most rides even on the weekends. The water play area is super awesome but expect a lot of people and kids during summer.

Good to see park, small rides for toddlers, kids and infants. The best thing is it is seasonal, so every season has it’s special games or activities.During spring and winter it has good lights decorated across the park. But it is not heavy.Parking is not free until you take yearly pass, so plan accordingly. It is worth if you go atleast 3 times in a year.

Beautiful scenery. The park itself is fun, but in a bit of disrepair. It could really use some general maintenance even if it is superficial. Especially if its more than what meets the eye. We enjoyed the half day we spent here. Probably would have enjoyed it more if the water rides were open.

Beautiful place and a must go for small kids (3 to 10 years). If you are looking for grown up thriller rides, you have only a few. Grown ups can go along with kids in most of the kids rides. My kid thoroughly enjoyed it and so did we. The ambience is beautiful. I loved it.

Great place to spend with family the whole day or even a weekend at any time of the year!It is kids friendly and have numerous rides for kids in ages 2-10. In the summer there are more rides since water attractions are open. But on Halloween/Christmas time there are still lots of them.Make sure to take train ride to see the park all around. Kids 6+ will probably want to take few rides on Quicksilver Express. And the park itself is a great garden with all sorts of trees.Parking is big but paid. And the tickets are not so cheap, though there are some promos most of time, checkout their website before you go.

Amusement parks are usually crowded, dirty, and low quality. Gilroy Gardens is none of these. All of the rides were about a 0-5 minute wait, and that was in the middle of July. The shaped trees are one of my favorite parts. My family had such a great time and we would go every day if we could. The pond is cool and the staff is friendly and happy.

This is how to make Gilroy Gardens get buetiful trees and lots of benches and shade, fun carnival games, a big waterfall, a few roller coasters, nice ponds, a playground, nice smelling bathrooms, a small waterpark, a train, and a science place and BAM thats how you get Gilroy Gardens

Was surprised at how nice and clean it was and it’s perfect for toddlers. Our 3 year old was able to ride all the rides except the roller coaster. Only downside is that the staff at concession stands really take their sweet time so the lines for food at all four of the concessions we were at took a while, but it was nice in another sense in that it slowed down our own pace and we had a relaxing day.

This is a theme park for younger kids. I personally think it was best for my then 4 year old and our 7 year old. The water oasis with the ability for the kids to get m soaking wet and splash in the water was the best part during the summer months. I like th learning exhibits just so that I could teach them some cool stuff while having fun. The monarch butterfly exhibit was smaller than I thought but the garden area with the waterfalls were nice. The food and beverage places, like at all theme parks, was expensive with food and beverage costing about 3x-4x what you would pay at a store. Staff was friendly across the park. I would recommend this to other families for a good day trip as it opens around 11AM and closes ar 5PM. This give enough time drive down and then leave early enough to grab dinner before getting the kids to bed.

This is a fun place for the entire family. If you are looking for exciting rides for the thrill seeker in your family, this is not the place. If you are looking for a fun day of rides the entire family can enjoy and fun activities, this is the place. They have a Ferris wheel small roller coaster, and other carnival type rides. The duck/swan paddle boats are a lot of fun! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Trees line the walkways to give shade on warm days. There are also beautiful waterfalls all over the property. They also have a great splash pad/water area with some waterslides. There are plenty of chairs available, in the shade, if you want to watch your kids while they play and they even have cabanas for rent. A fun day for all. I would suggest going during the summer. If you go before school lets out, they only have half the rides open one part of the day and the other half are open the last half of the day do to insufficient staff.

Weve been going to Gilroy Gardens for years and we continue to go, even though my oldest is ten she still enjoys it. The park is really best for kids up to age 10, however with the new expanded water play area I think kids up to age 12-13 will still enjoy. Its very clean and if you go during the week not too busy. We went on a Friday and because school is still in session there were hardly any lines. Employees seemed friendly and helpful. Bags are searched so hide your snacks. We bring a cooler and had lunch right outside the park under the covered picnic tables. However there are plenty of places to buy food if you didnt bring from home. Also check the website to make sure they are open and what time, because days varies.

We took our daughter and 2 grand daughters on a Saturday. It was a beautiful day, and we were expecting to have a wonderful time. We were appalled to pay $15 to parking in addition to the pricey entrance fee. The first thing we encountered was a small petting zoo...at an additional fee! It was a very warm day, yet the water park area was closed, as were quite a few other attractions. After waiting over an hour for the paddle boats, we came to a food stand. I understood that prices would be high, but $16 for mini corn dogs is RIDICULOUS!!! No wonder every food venue, was deserted. The management obviously would rather gouge the customers than provide any affordable family fare. Do they not realize how much more they could earn from increased sales as opposed to standing idle?? Next time we visit our children, we wont be going to Gilroy Gardens unless these inane policies change. I would like to state that the teenaged staff were wonderful... polite, friendly, and very helpful. At least staffing was done well!!!

Great amusement park. Obviously, very child friendly. Great for kids in the 12 & under range. Food isnt too expensive, and even cheaper with a membership. Which brings me to my ONLY concern really, the price. Adults may as well pay the extra & get the membership. The day pass price is a little too high for what little they actually have for adults. Besides that, check online for other events & themes (for example: they had ice skating for Winter Holidays). All in all, I still had a great day. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful, & engaging which makes the experience that much better

Great for kids under 10; very child centric. My kids had a blast. The map shows how intense the rides are for your little one. There are a variety of child play activities: play yard, science exploration, rides, water park, picnic areas, monarch butterfly exhibit, live shows, & save $5 for the petting zoo which you must pass by on your way out. The zoo was by far my kids favorite activity. They have a pony. They also have pigs, llamas, goats, and chickens your child can catch and hold. The treasure chest was also a highlight for my kids. You buy a bag and fill it up with truly cheap treasure plastic jewels.Food is overpriced, so eat ahead of time. Cold 1% milk is widely available. I only noticed cold 2% milk at one location.

Great place for young kiddos, lots of rides for toddlers. The Christmas lights are very pretty as well. We found it to be a little pricey for parking and ticket costs since its winter and the water fun is closed, but I guess thats neither here nor there, you pay the price or you dont go. Be careful during the Christmas season, they have snow machines at the end of the bridge which makes the ground very slippery, almost went down while carrying my 1 month old.

Great place to go and take the whole family especially the younger ones. Also good for couples to enjoy the multiple gardens within the amusement park and walk alongside various waterfall alongside streams. The entrance walkway is a big beautiful bridge. Lots of walkways that are serene and easygoing. Very relaxing and beautiful views. Went on Memorial day and it was not crowded at all. I highly recommend if you like nature watching. Lots of different places to eat: Asian food, Mexican food, pizza, BBQ kebabs, kid friendly eats, Boba place, Dippin dots, and a Cafe serving coffee to keep you awake while taking in the sights and sounds. Dont forget the funnel cake shop. The rides are mostly kid friendly with the most thrilling one would be the coal mining one, goes medium fast just enough to get your blood pumping. The monarch garden we didnt see any butterflies, but different kinds of smaller trees like mango and coffee bean trees, not as nice as the gardens, so maybe skip that. One of the main highlights of our trip was the enclosed waterfall area. Theres a walkway and you can step right up to the 4 waterfalls. 2 of them can splash on you too. A must see up close!
