This place made us feel so safe and welcomed. They are taking so many positive precautions to make sure that their staff and customers are safe. Places to enjoy outside even in cooler weather (heaters and tents). I was very happy with the service and the wines (and cheese plate) were excellent too! Highly recommend!!

We love love LOVE stopping at AppleWorks whenever possible! The Behnke’s are super nice, knowledgeable and always accommodating. The social distancing actions they’ve taken prove how much they care about their customers. We’re sitting at a picnic table 20 feet from everyone else right now! :)

What a charming place!! The oweners are as sweet as pie, excellent choice of reds and whites, and also local beer. Small cheese plates or pizza available. Grounds are beautiful durning fall, they also have a heated tent for social distancing

Went as a group of 14 on a Saturday and were treated so rudely by management that we left and chose to spend our money elsewhere. We knew we were a larger group and hadn’t called ahead, we expected to wait and to be split up....we did not expect to be chastised by management and made to feel unwelcome.

My family was in town for the weekend so we decided to check out some local wineries that I havent been to (for some reason) and we Googled the area and found this one. Cute little off the road place. Once we stepped in and saw how beautiful, quiet and elegant this place was we decide to sit outside. (My family can be a little loud) Kevin was kind enough to accommodate us and bring the tastings outside. My family is very mixed when it comes to reds and whites. I found the sweets to be fantastic. I used to be a Moscato girl and have switched to fruity reds, but the spring sunrise, summer sunset and fall moon (I apologise if I slaughter the names) were so delicious. They were crisp, fruity and refreshing. I dont know if I have ever felt wine was refreshing. I could sit outside and drink a whole bottle. But dont take my word for it. You need to check the place out yourself. I will definitely be going back in the future. They also a loyalty program. Bonus. Seriously. Check this place out. Im in love. I cant wait to take my husband and my BFF.

Was looking for a nice winery within an hour or two of Chicago’s far north burbs. Searched Google and found this highly-reviewed winery. Drove the backroads there from Lindenhurst (IL) all the way to Germantown. Beautiful fall Sunday drive! Property seems to be a converted farm and the main retail space is to your left as you drive into the property. We arrived at dusk so reduced visibility did not allow for great perspective of the property, but from what we could see it was large and beautifully-updated by current owners. The owners were warm, inviting, and friendly. Conversation flowed smoothly from the time we walked in and sat at the bar. There are also plenty of private tables available, but we noticed everyone was seated at the bar when we walked in, so decided to join the group. Good choice! They have a decent selection of both red and white wines. We sampled quite a few (four selections of each) along with a wonderful and savory cheese plate. It contained four different cheese types (Gouda, White Cheddar, Maple Cheddar (my favorite!), and a Bacon Cheddar), along with crackers, cranberries, and grapes. Yummy! We enjoyed the wines in order from light to robust. They were delightful. Liked them so much that we purchased a handful of bottles to bring back home. The owners besides being wonderful hosts, are also quite knowledgeable of wines and the wine-making process. Our experience also became an educational one, which we enjoyed. We will be back!!! Wonderful place.

Its a cute, little out-of-the-way way place! The owner is very personable and knowledgeable about the wines. A nice variety of wines and at reasonable prices. The cheese tray is very tasty. A nice way to spend a relaxing hour or two!

Great place and amazing wine

My friend and I absolutely loved visiting the Apple Works Winery! Lisa was a complete peach! We enjoyed chatting with her throughout the evening. What a wonderful little spot to visit and taste some new wines. We both left with smiles on our faces and bottles of delicious wine in our hands. We will be back!

Awesome environment and staff! I say staff but its really the family and you can tell. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about their wines. I also tend to be a picky wine drinker and greatly enjoyed many wines! Will be returning!!

What an awesome place. Cozy, very friendly, owners are great at customer service, good prices. Great tasting wine not fruity blends like most wineries in Wisconsin, real melot and cabernet. We liked pretty much all of the wines they make. Nice outdoor seating. Good cheese plates and tuffles to go with your wines. Will definitely be back here
