Great little park. Georgetown needs to empty the trash cans more frequently. All the trash cans were overflowing when I went on July 5th, and few people had been in the park all day. I was there from 8:30 until sunset. Meaning the vast majority, if not all, of the trash was from the 4th. Water quality wasnt horrible. They should think about doing something about the hydrilla/whatever grass is in there that is starting to overtake the river bed. Upstream from the park a little ways it is covered from bank to bank, from the river bed to the top of the water. Otherwise was pretty fun.
Long trail, dog friendly bring a bike
Really great, stopped here to eat lunch while driving through town. Really quiet and peaceful. One of the best parts of our day
Peaceful place to go fishing
Peaceful little spot
Pleasant little park with trail access, a couple of fishing spots and a place where you can launch a kayak or paddle board. The river here is held back by an old low dam creating a pool thats about 2/3 of a mile long, so a nice place for an easy flatwater paddle. Parking is pretty limited and oddly shaped, so please be considerate and dont block multiple spots.
Beautiful area by the river. Place to lauch kayaks as well.
One of my favorite places to go hiking. nice little trails they have there.
