Some of the camp sites have a lot of trees and shade. Some sites are more private that others. Some sites are a lot bigger or smaller than others, and some have great views of the water. Nice and small camp ground. Access to a long trail. Check out the satellite view to make a better choice. Or try to drive through and visit first before reserving a specific spot.

Nice park located in the Georgetown , close to I-35(10 mins from the Interstate) . It has an awesome lake view and a vast trail of over 5miles around the Lake George town. The park operates from Sunrise to Sunset. Arrive early to grab a parking space as the parking is limited. Additional parking can be availed near Crockett Gardens rd adjacent to the park. It has reserved Parking space for wheelchair accessible. #HappyTrails

You can get in for free if your just going for a hike... trails are for the more experienced hikers. And about 25min in there is a GREAT place to go cliff jumping... about a 30ft cliff? It’s pretty epic, but wear water shoes because you have to climb up some rocks to get back out.

Ill have to come back and try to find the hidden gem. Ive heard there is a beautiful path to a waterfall. We found a so-so path to a party spot haha. . .Two cool things we DID see:1) Lots of cliff diving opportunities. probably a fun experience and, not necessarily a beautiful view--where we were.2) A picnic area with honest-to-goodness like 50 8-10 person shelters.Overall, meh. . .well be back though. I want to find that waterfall!

A small park fee grants family access to all the lake’s brilliant fun atmosphere and proper facilities that we all love at our parks at lakeside.Escape to fun at Cedar Breaks for the outdoors and Georgetown Sun.Have tons of fun then make your way to the best town square I n Texas and enjoy the best of the best of a Texas Square with the finest shopping, dining and don’t forget to give a “Hey Howdy to Ken at Ken’s Guitar Shop for a great walk through of stellar displays of strings and very musical things. So get wet, have good fun, food in our favorite Texas hangout Georgetownparks and square!

GORGEOUS. Free (no entrance fee) for hikers, dogs are allowed on leash. Great hike with some shaded spots and sunny spots throughout. You can hike to Crockett Gardens if you just continue down, but its not a loop so you just have to back track. Awesome for families and folks who love to cliff jump. Great scenic views so get your phones ready. Also awesome lil private beach areas to access the San Gabriel River! Love.

I wanted to give the park/lake a five. I love Gtown and theres a lake 5 miles from downtown is extra, extra-special. Plus, the Corps of Engineers regulates residential building along the banks. Without houses on the shore, Its easy to be on Lake Georgetown and think you are far from town.I arrived at Cedar Breaks Park before dawn; started fishing by 630 am.The boat has a sonar, and in 4 hours I saw 25 or less catchable fish. I did see clusters of bait fish and thousands of zebra mussels along the rocks; I fear the mussels have won over the lake.Fyi: wear water shoes; the mussels are sharp. And thank you to the two ladies that were picking up trash along the banks. Thank you for keeping Gtown beautiful.

This is a great 3 mile hike to the natural falls, a welcomed respite from the hike and the heat. Great for families and dogs, however, if you’re a dog owner, thanks for bagging up your poop, but throwing it to the side or hanging it on a tree is gross. Clean up after yourselves!

The campground is nice. Has power and water with a dump station to hit up on the way out. There was trash all around, we cleaned some up but there was still more. Not sure what the volunteers did, we never saw them in action. The lake was nice, though it was high so the fishing pier was underwater. Peaceful camp just outside the city. Verizon phone signal was good.

The trail was long, but fairly easy; no steep inclines . You must wear shoes or boots, lots of rocks and uneven footing. We arrived early so not too hot and few people; many people on the trail after 10am. There is a place to cliff jump into the lake (about 10-12 ft). The falls themselves were fairly small and we left quickly as they were packed with people, even at 9am.

This is a beautiful campground with a number of good camp sites (many of which are shaded). Lake Georgetown is a nice sized lake for boating and fishing. The Good Water Loop Trail is a nice hike around the lake. But taking about 4.5 miles in / out heading west from the campground is a beautiful spring and waterfall which is well worth the effort. (Trail xan be very muddy if it has rained). The only complaint is that the bathrooms are not as nicely maintained as they were in the past.

There are two areas to camp. One on each side of the lake. Cedar Breaks side and Jim Hogg side. We stayed at the cedar lake side, the park has very nice RV spots. Most are shaded and all have a covered picnic table. All are also spread a nice distance apart. It is VERY central to alot of activities. Central to Austin, Johnson city, Pedernales state park a must see is a 45 min drive. Inner space caverns is really cool, a bit pricey.

Great place to camp! Fishing, swimming, hiking, cooking, campfires, story telling, drinking, you can do it all here. Come with friends or family and share an experience of a lifetime.
