Very helpful. Gave brief history of the area and explained what was there and the layout. Brochures are up to date. General ones are done annually, while the shops and restaurant handout is updated 3 or 4 times a year to make sure they are current. Enjoyed the story about the poppys.

Yea I dont think its the nicest town square in Texas but maybe because of COVID I couldnt see it bc some stuff was closed until the weekend and I was there during the week. But its small and quaint and have a few good shops with some of the nicest people.

My small family has their eyes treated here, friendly staff m and an excellent eye doctor. He was able to diagnose my husband with a congenital malformation so his eye exam became a medical appointment, saving us $$$ I was also easily prescribed Latisse for my lashes, beautiful results!Easy appointment booking, accommodations for the three of us with back to back appointments and easy to find location! Also, met with the newest provider he is WONDERFUL. So happy to have our hometown eye care!

My family and I recently moved to Georgetown from San Antonio, so I figured Id go check out the square and visitors center in town. I went with my daughter this afternoon and saw that they seemed to be giving away some sort of free bags and stickers, etc for small business Saturday. Unfortunately, while inside the visitor center, we were not greeted by the ladies working there. I proceeded to walk up to the table where the free merchandise was located to see what it was all about, but neither woman at the table acknowledged me. I continued to walk around and then came back to the table a second time, figuring maybe this time they might inform me about what was going on, but once again I was ignored. Sadly, I have to say that I felt anything but welcomed in this welcome center.

Shame on Georgetown for the way your police treat visitors. We were caught in your blocking intersection trap by the McDonalds yesterday and given a citation! We were visiting from Wisconsin and heard about your lovely town square so took a little detour to check it out. We regret not passing right by now that we were harassed and ticketed by your police after entering an intersection on a green arrow and not being able to make it Thur before it turned red. Why? No idea. (People turning left into McDonalds? Poorly timed lights?) it was an obvious set up, as we were promptly waved into parking lot for our ticket. After receiving it we parked and watched (and videotaped and photographed) two more vehicles fall into the same trap in less than 20 minutes. (Basically as soon as he let one go, he walked out and waved another in,) if this were a legitimate safety concern, you would change the light timing or the intersection not just hand out tickets. When something awful happens at that intersection your city will be liable as the many tickets will prove you were well aware of the concern and did nothing to remedy it but hand out tickets.
