Im thankful to God that father my cut found this place from French fur trading days in the 1700s. Now its a plethora of Culture and community for modern Miller beach. One of the best beaches on Earth Gnarly waves

First time here, took the family. Lakefront beach was clean, water was beautiful, the life guards were on it and parking wasnt bad . Will be going to visit more often.

I would have given it 5 Stars but people need to do a better job with their trash. Other than that, I love this beach and park.

Love it. Low key. Typically isnt overcrowded. Absolutely beautiful. Can be a bit on trashy side by picnic tables. But otherwise nice.

This park is stunning and so peaceful and serene. The forest preserve is just beautiful. There was literally no one else there the day I went so my hubs and I had the place to ourselves, simply perfection.

They really need to clean up here better. Lots of garbage laying in the walking paths and sand. people walking around smoking weed. I dont recommend taking children here for family day

Its always so calm and dogs are allowed. Its fun and beautiful here. I come a few times every summer.

Visited on September 26, 2019, beach mostly, was not crowded, clean and conditions very ideal for a walk along the banks of Lake Michigan, very pleasant experience. Gary Bathing Beach building has been restored and loos great due tot he effort of a few people and it is ideal for some events.

Its always nice to come back home and hit the beach. Needs a little more TLC so only 4 stars due to lack of clean up efforts.

Not really a beach anymore. But still beautiful.

I always came here every summer Sunday. The only thing I dont like is finding a parking spot and the commute back to my car.

I love this park. There is a walk trail. There is also a spot to play and picnic and to look at Lake Michigan. Love the atmosphere.

Great beach access! Lots of parking. $5 if youre a Gary, IN resident/ $7 for non-residents.

Beautiful scenery. Would give it 5 stars but the beach was filthy. It wasnt like that a year ago. Explore the pavilion and bridges!

Nice quiet beach in a nice park

It was okay for a quick beach stop with the fam. The only thing is that there are no real bathrooms. Atleast where we were it was all portapotties. Thank god we wore our bathing suits due to no where to change. Must bring own food because there were no food shacks around. It wasnt horrible over all but michigan city has been the best so far in Indiana.

A beautiful park with a lot to do. It was completely redone with a new kayak/canoe launch onto the Calumet lagoon, a snack shop, all new walking/bike trails and an amazing view of the Chicago skyline.

First time there , nothing was open , but it was nice

Went here for a food truck festival....it was so fun. Nice crowd. Great music. Security provided by Gary PD... just needed more places to sit and maybe spray the grass so we arent attacked by the bugs. Lastly...advertise a little more too. This event was too nice not for people to really know about it. I hope to see this again.

We were the florists for an amazing wedding today. The Aquatorium is just the most gorgeous backdrop for a wedding!!!

It was an overcast day so we didnt get to experience the beach but Marquette Park is great for walking and taking in the scenery, especially the lagoon.

Always the quietest beach in the morning! They do a great job keeping the entire area clean and manicured! The beach is a bit messed up at the moment though.

Very scenic on clear days you can see Chicago skyline to the west. This is an excellent park for fishing picnicking or physical exercise. Marquette Park is jewel alongside Lake Michigan. A place to savor all year long.

1st time at here and from out of state.. This beach is covered with litter. Broken chairs, used diapers, ciggeretts, and just trash. There is very little pride to keep a clean beach. This beach is not worth the trip.

The parking is limited but the entire place is a class above any beach on Lake Michigan. Broad walkways. Picnic areas, benches, tables, shelters, play ground and the beach is clean.

! I go here every year from miles away to go to this clear water beach. Sometimes theres decent sized waves to enjoy yourself in. Also some sand bars. Five dollars to park all day and they only take cash.

Visited here it’s a awesome place even when the weather is less than desirable. Has a lot of features for young and old alike !!

Love this beach,Ive been going here for vacation every year.The trail of sand to go walking literally burned my feet its too long to be walking in the scorching sand even with shoes on my feet the sand was horrible .I recommend the city of Gary to put a boardwalk cause the sand is like hot coal.

This the jewel of Gary! It was my mothers favorite place to just sit and enjoy nature.I went there recently to remember her on the anniversary of her death and it was more beautiful than I remember.Theres a little island called Patterson island with two little bridges connecting to the main park and a pavilion for parties and weddings overlooking a lagoon. Beautiful and peaceful.

Pretty impressive place to visit. Definitely worth the visit. We stopped by in poor weather and still had a good 2 hour visit. Nice clean place awesome seaneary. Would definitely recommend. Parking is free and have a snack shop. Wasnt open when we were there , menu look very reasonable.

Parking lot is small but great beach

I got a $155 ticket due to a sign that is pretty much hidden that says you have to pay for parking. I brought 5 friends from out of town and we all had to pay the city of Gary this ticket I hope they got there moneys worth. I will never go back

May be the nicest Lake Michigan facility Ive ever been to. Everything is brand new - the picnic areas, the grills, the concession stands, the restrooms. Free parking everywhere on the street. Theres even hoses that you can pull out of the sides of the concession buildings to rinse sand off your feet. I live in Chicago and can now quit battling the crowds and parking nonsense at the downtown and south side beaches.

Neat park to wander around in and being there the first week of Oct I pretty much had the place to myself. I dont imagine its like this in July and August.

Trash everywhere and lifeguards were nowhere to be seen until they were kicking us off beach.
