If you havent been to the Discovery Depot with your children yet, I HIGHLY recommend going! This place is perfect for all ages of children, babies included!!!! The downstairs spurs the imagination and creativity. They can burn all of that energy outside on the playground. The upstairs is engaging and encourages hands on learning. Its all around awesome!

Amazing childrens museum housed in a former dairy building. Comparable to any museum in a city three or four times larger. Very interactive. Designed with fun and education for children in mind. Reasonably priced. Kids can even look at second story windows and watch trains come in and out of town on Galesburgs busy rail lines. A must see attraction.

Took my 3 yr old & 4 yr old cousin! They did not want to leave. It was $24 for 2 kids & one adult. It wasnt busy on Saturday 12-3, but enough that they had to share a few times. Outdoor playground was mostly in shade monkey bars were little tricky, but they went crazy on everything else! Wish they would fix lighted Ferris wheel by restrooms. Maybe a slide coming down from puppy room? Air conditioning was my best friend since it was heat index of over 100! Oh water fountain outside would be nice too hard to get pics because kids were running so quickly. All slept hard that night!!

We had a great time here. They remodeled the upstairs and added water tables a play area and giant foam blocks.

It is good for younger children. They claim to age 12 but I would cut it off at perhaps 10 at the most. My 13 yr old was bored and only entertained himself so my younger son could enjoy the space. Not a bad little stop for an hour or so might be able to stretch 2 hours out of it. As a bonus it is right next to the train tracks.

If its been a few years since youve been here, its totally remodeled and a thousand times better. Fantastic place to bring your kids, indoors and out, lots to see and do. They now have little mockups of a bank, grocery store, pizzeria, vet clinic to name a few. There is even an art center inside as well as model ferris wheel, farm simulator and wind generated learning stations. Outside youll find a playground and a train car complete with radio so you can hear real radio traffic from local BNSF railroad. They also have summer programs that reach kids about various fun things like, fashion, secret agent creating etc. Truly something for kids of all ages. Believe its $6 per kid per day, or yearly memberships are like $100, completely worth it. They have a small area to sell gifts and toys and snacks. Great family fun.

Play inside or outside here! I love the accessibility of everything and the new water play area kept my daughter busy for a long time. This place needs more parking though.

My son, who is three really enjoyed his time there. There was a ton for him to do and they did a great job with the space that they have to properly use it. There were a ton of options with many different areas for him to visit.

I love discovery depot! I’ve been going since I was a kid myself. Then taking the kids when I was a babysitter. Now I’m an adult taking my nephews. The update with the second floor is awesome.

An unexpectedly fun place. Not one bored or disinterested child in sight! Every corner was filled with interactive exhibits that invited engagement. Plus, a full-size caboose!

Although my son was too young to play with the others I enjoyed taking my 5 year old brother and 8 year old sister. They had a lot of fun and it is a neat place. I look forward to taking my son when he is their age.

Pretty Cool place but why adults have to pay is beyond me. Makes absolutely no sense. Apparently I’m paying to come watch my kids play?

A great stop in Galesburg. My 18-month-old was entertained for hours, and I saw several families with older kids similarly entertained. The upstairs is great for older kids, but frankly they spent a lot of time downstairs too. The water feature upstairs is great, and theres a lovely outdoor playground.

Such a great place to have in town! Yearly membership is a good deal if you plan multiple visits throughout the year and you can have up to 6 people on the membership. The new 2nd floor area is great. My little one loves the water area. Lots of activities for all ages.

Great spot for your children to come play during the day. Make sure you accompany your children as well as you must be with lil jonny or lil sarah if theyre playing inside the Discovery Depot. Clean and accommodating staff

Recently opened their second floor, and its amazing! Our kids (ages 5 and 2) love it. They sometimes go multiple times in a single day, and never seem to get bored/want to leave. I strongly recommend getting a family pass if you will visit more than a couple times a year.

Fabulous activities, plenty of room for kids to move around, great outside playground and quaint Caboose to visit! My grandson loved it so much that we had to go back for a second day!Congratulations on such a wonderful Children’s Museum.

There are new, more challenging games for older kids. Adults seem to really enjoy being there....some more than their children! Learning is taking place through play. It is clean, bright, and colorful! Worth the trip

Great place for young kids! They have lots of make believe play areas, a water play area, an indoor playground, large building blocks, air play area, a caboose, and a playground! It is great for my 5 year old, 3 year old, and baby! It is very clean and comfortable!

Best place every. So much for children from 6 months to 8 years old. Reasonable rates and family membership. I went for a birthday party and had so much fun with both my children. Best was the simulation with corn.

This is one of the best childrens museums in the Central Illinois area! The staff is friendly and it is always very organized. There is always a daily craft for the kids to do.

My 8 yr old had a blast! Can’t wait for the new addition to be finished. It was clean, friendly, and even though children had been playing stuff was organized (all pizza stuff in the pizzeria, grocery in grocery, etc.) and while we didn’t partcipate in the summer camp it looked fun!

This place is great! You can bring your kids to play and learn. There are lots of different areas. One thing I noticed is that almost every time Ive gone the other children have been so well behaved. The other parents really watch their kids and its a good safe place.

This was a fun place to take the grandkids. The adults enjoyed it too.

We were there for 2 and 1/2 hours and our child would have stayed another 2 hours if the adults hadnt got a little bored.

My 6 year old loved this place. Floor one was only kpe. So we didnt get to experiance the 2nd floor but he loved the phones and all the centers they had. We spent 4 hours and he loved it.
