Its small and digestible. Learn from whence the great American poet sprang and the experiences that shaped him. Galesburg is a pleasant small town with a beautiful college campus, good food, and historic sites.

Great place to visit. I enjoyed the 88.7 FM radio station that broadcasts a biography of Carl Sandburg. If the place is not open you can walk about the grounds and look through the windows and get a great feel of what it was like when old Carl was born.

Go to the roots and discover poet, philosopher and Pulitzer prize winning author Carl Sandburg. The local site association is dedicated topreservation and education. Post Novell Corona virus, they will resume providing wonderful programming, such as, the song bag series of concerts. Its worth a visit to get to know a little bit more about our native son, Carl Sandburg and his family.
