To me its a peaceful place to walk and take pictures and my puppy loves trying to catch rabbits and squirrels

Its a beautiful place. Fishing.....ya u can fish however Im not to sure theres any fish in the lake. Me, my friend and SEVERAL people I talked to had not caught anything except a few perch very small....but all and all a beautiful lake with bathrooms a couple docs. There is no camping.

I go here a lot to stretch the legs and do a little fishing but rarely catch anything. Still very relaxing and great scenery so its still worth visiting just to walk the trails around it.

What a beautiful place this is! We were on a road trip from Oregon to South Carolina and was desperate to see something other than just the road and traffic. We found this place on the map and decided to visit. It was a beautiful crisp fall day and the reflection of the fall leaves from the trees on to the lake was stunning! We were so glad that we found this place. It really refreshed us and got us ready to go back on the road.

Beautiful lake. People are gross and have destroyed the rest room, but overall a great place to fish or hike! Wish they still had boats to rent!

This is a beautiful lake in a serene setting, and has a boat ramp, in addition to docks which are available for fishing. Theres a small picnic pavilion, as well other picnic areas. The restrooms are open even in cold weather, but they dont have sinks or running water. Well definitely be back to visit this park in warmer weather.

I still wish they had the boats, but its still fun!

Have caught a lot of smaller crappie and several catfish. Watch another gentlemen catch two bass that were well over 6lbs. The lake has some trophy fish but it is heavily trafficked so you tend to catch smaller fish it seems. Good place to take kids though because of easy of access.

Nice lake with an unexciting trail as well. I had read that row boats were available for renting, but none were within site of the parking area, which was a little disappointing

Typical MO Conservation Dept lake. Nice boat ramp and fishing docks. Smelly privys. Mediocre to poor fishing. But its close to home and sitting in a boat drinking beer beats going to work.

Beautiful place to take a walk or go fishing. Or just to sit and take in the scenic views! You can also rent a boat and paddle out onto the water. Can also bring your own boat and go out on the water as well. Nice large docks for sitting and fishing or taking in the view.

I really great place to take your kids fishing . Watch out for cottonmouth.

260 acre lake but extremely shallow. No good for boaters.

HIKING trails! There is a great 5.8 mile hiking loop around the lake. Follow the “shoreline” trail. It’s a recently cleared nice wide trail. A good place to get away that’s not far from Columbia. I don’t know what the guy was talking about snakes in January? We saw lots of ducks and deer.

The family and I really enjoy little Dixie. The trails are really nice and well kept, good for both walking and bicycle riding, even for kids.

Didnt get to catch a fish

I love little Dixie. Great place to fish and hike and parts of the area offer some hunting opportunities. It is snake infested however, which I think is pretty cool. If your there at the right time of the year in the spring and in the right place you can witness thousands of water snakes mating. They make the water boil! I witnessed this one time with my father when I was around 14 years old.

Neat lake with some nice trails. They arent maintained super great, but Im glad they are there. Its a bit busy, but most people were respectful with regards to their noise level.

My fiancee and I went here to get on the water with our kayaks to view the 2017 solar eclipse! Gorgeous area for boating and fishing. The split pic shows first the beautiful lake during noon sun and then under the eclipse.

Great fishing area! Access to boat ramp and dock area. Great for small craft and canoes and kayaks. Trails are easy to follow and new bridge to get to the trails.

Great place to get away for a bit. Features 205 acre lake for fishing with boat rental and walking trail. Very quiet, rarely Crowded. Boat rental is flat bottom with oars, no motor. Not a swimming lake.

Love taking the kids here to go fishing! There is a covered dock, and an uncovered dock used for fishing or loading and unloading boats.

Nice lake and park area. Nice shelter houses and pretty good fishing.

The kids loved the trail and seeing wild life. And taking pictures of all the wild flowers.

Nice lake but no fish on an overcast perfect day and dozens of people...wow....came back at 10 am to find a full parking lot...way over used and over fished!!!!
