A great day trip from the Kansas City area. So much amazing and interesting history in Fulton! The museum below the church provides so much information. It was very well done. The church is magnificent and the story of how it came to Fulton is anything but boring. The art created by Churchills granddaughter from 8 sections of the Berlin Wall is moving and a beautiful way for her to honor her grandfather.

We have been to the Imperial War Museum and Churchill War Rooms museum in London.. We drove through Fulton just to see this museum, too.. I didnt know what to expect but we were VERY impressed!! One of the better museums we have visited, well done and informative. If you are remotely interested in Churchill - highly recommended!

I cant say enough about this place. It has everything, and a delightful, knowledgeable staff. The recordings of BBC broadcasts from WWII brought me to tears, as did the film. This is where Churchill delivered his historic Iron Curtain speech. Did you know he is the only person to have been made an honorary American citizen? They have a scratchy film of the speech, many artifacts, really engaging exhibits, some of his paintings (he was a talented Impressionist on top of everything else), a chunk of the Berlin Wall turned into thought-provoking sculpture by his granddaughter, also an artist. And there is a beautiful Christopher Wren church, bombed in the Blitz, brought brick by brick from London and restored here. This is so worth the trip. Fulton is a nice little town with good B & Bs and restaurants, and its close to beautiful Rocheport and bustling Columbia. Spend the weekend -- you wont be sorry.

I loved the way this museum is setup at the church. A lot of resources have been dedicated to this speech and Im glad to see it. Its impressive that the entire church was able to be imported all the way from London. Only suggestion I would have is that Id like to see the gym where the speech was held tied into the museum a little bit more. Everything else was great. Thanks.

This was a random, quick stop on a long trip, but Im glad we did; even without going into the museum, there was plenty to see. The pieces of the Berlin Wall were awesome to see; I remember when it was pulled down, and I loved being able to tell my kids about it with the physical pieces right there.

An excellent little museum, particularly for the true historian. The exhibits trace Churchills career with interesting details and a handful of artifacts, including one of his paintings. Would really benefit from having more artifacts, but all said, a quality tour.

I was very surprised to find this little gem hidden away in Fulton, MO. for the price the museum is very up to date and extremely informative. Staff was limited but I didnt mind that at all. The church (take out of London after it was bombed in WWII) is absolutely georgeous and the pieces of the Berlin wall is something you can only see if a few places and they have a good length section. Definitely worth popping in for an hour and a bit even if you are just driving across Missouri.

Id known Churchill gave his iron curtain speech in Fulton, MO but didnt know there was a museum dedicated to the man until I was looking up something else in Google maps. The museum is in the undercroft of a medieval church, the history of which is just as interesting as the museum. The museum covers Churchills life from beginning to end and is well worth the visit for any history buff. One section is dedicated to the speech with it playing on a continuous loop. The story of how he came to give a speech in the middle of America is proof that its not what you know but who you know and interesting by itself. There exhibits are very informative with lots of artifacts. There is, as of June 9, 2018, an exhibit of Churchill busts and WWII posters.

Beautiful setting on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, MO. Westminster was the place where Winston Churchill gave his famous Iron Curtain speech in 1946.You can spend a fair bit of time here. The museum has a lot on the life and times of Churchill, as well as the time and setting of the speech. In a fine tribute to all who fought the unvarnished evil of communism and socialism, now vilely rearing up again, there is a 50 or so section of the former Berlin Wall outside. The building itself that houses the museum is a beautiful English church building, mostly destroyed by German National Socialists in WWII. What was left was disassembled, shipped to America, and reconstructed fully. The building was originally designed by Sir Christopher Wren after the disastrous London Fire of 1666.Theres a small fee to enter, and a nice gift shop. Both help maintain the museum. *Well* worth the visit.

Wow, quite an unexpected gem! I was told by a relative in nearby Columbia to check out the college next door and its chapel. Passing through Easter Sunday I didnt expect the museum to be open but it was! Never would I had dreamed that a Christopher Wren church was relocated to mid Missouri, amazing. The Churchill Museum in its basement was a fascinating overview of Churchill and his significance which included a viewing room with the infamous Iron Curtain speech he delivered here in 1946. Being a huge Churchill fan I am quite biased. But this odd combination of a church and a Churchill museum rekindled my admiration for the man who as a young man was thought of as a failure more than anything, then an adventurer, another failure, and then became the Savior of the Kingdom before stopping here in Fulton in 1946 to warn us about the Iron Curtain of Stalinist Communism. Definitely worth stopping to see if you are a Churchill enthusiast.
