Great walking trails! Family friendly. Covid safe activity
If youre looking for a place to ride your bike off of the busy streets, this is it in Fremont! Its flat, exposed, and can be windy in the afternoons, but its a safe place to ride a bicycle. The paved side is also great for walking. If you are looking to let your dog off leash, head over to the unpaved, east side of the trail.
Beautiful lake with quite trail during weekday. Great get away from COVID crowd.
The AC trail and quarry lakes takes you to the country even if we are in the hustle and bustle of city life. Awesome views of the lakes with the rolling hills in the backgroundThe down side is the water is contaminated. No swimming and you cant eat. Great place for a hike.
I just love it here! A great place for a family picnic or an hour hike.
On sunny day it a good place to unwind
Great place to ride bikes, hike, and enjoy time outdoors with the family.
Good one. Smoky, but not too bad. We spent 4 hrs here
Wonderful place for biking, horse riding, work outs, walking, partying at park. You would enjoy the place if you are a nature-lover
Its a wondarful place for evening walk. It is in Fremont and very close to Union City border in California. It is just beside Query lake. You can see many birds there. You can do fishing. You can even ride in your own boat.
Nice place for a bike ride or walk
Open air - horse riding-
This is one of the best trails to test your endurance . It runs alongside a creek, so you can have a truly blissful run in the morning !
Nice place to walk, run, and bike
Great views, great trail for bikes.
A great place to get away. Giant spaces for social distancing and beautiful views.
A nice biking place for family...
Quiet trail, usually on the cooler side with a breeze. See some raptors and other wildlife.
Great place to ride bikes and go on walks! I scenery is great as well.
This is a really nice park to walk or run in, either by yourself or with a dog. I would strongly suggest keeping your dog on a leash for the safety of you, your dog, and other dogs. There are signs that remind you in case you forget. You can also ride a bike here. The scenery is beautiful and the park is well maintained. I go for a walk here every time I am in the area.
Good place for a evening walk, but gets crowded after 5 pm
Great place for picnic, and barbque, clean and great view of lake
This is a must visit regional park in Fremont. A lot of wild life to observe. Many trails to try out. Short or long trails. You can go as far East towards the Nile, or go as West to coyote hill. The Quarry Lakes are very nice.
Beautiful place to walk and connect with nature.
Nice park with beautiful views and well maintained trails
Been using this for over40 years. Great for bikes, walking, jogging and horses. Runs from Niles to Coyote Hills,
Its clean, well maintained, and has long open hours. Its big and you can almost feel like you got out of the city. There are clean restrooms and water fountains at useful points throughout the park. There are many different plants and birds. And, unless its the weekend, its never too crowded. This review is *really* about Quarry Lakes Regional Park, which is right next to part of the Alameda Creek Regional Trail. But Google keeps getting confused about where Ive been and I didnt notice their sleight-of-map.
Not bad.
Clean, fresh air, and friendly.
Great place to ride..
The walk around the lake was awesome
Its a trail. What is there to really talk about here?
Lovely place for a great walk or run.
At Quarry Lakes, we saw about a dozen white pelicans. Most were in pairs and a few had a 3rd pelican following. I saw 1 in a pair swim ahead and fly back several times. Maybe looking for food.
I went back to visit some good friends of mine at Arroyo creek had a nice welcome and stayed the night it was hot but made the best of Friday night ,woke up Saturday morning went had breakfast at burger king then had to say goodbye to all at1:00 PM and returned to my studio to lay new carpet that I got Thursday morning hope to finish before nightclub time, thanks
Cool place to take a nice stroll
I love this place great for walking, jogging and theres plenty of birds, squirrels and other small animals for sightseeing
Excellent weather here in Alameda Creek Regional Park.
Whether looking for a place to go for an easy bike ride with friends, a leisure walk, or jog, this is a great trail. Ive found early Sunday mornings a good time to go for a ride. Youll find cyclists, dog walkers, joggers and the occasional housecat. If you want a quick 20 mile+ bike ride (depending on your starting point) roundtrip, its a great blacktop trail.
This park is really nice to spend with the family
Excellent hiking
Great place to take your pups for a fun time!
Finally caught a fish - been skunked last few times. Always Catch and Release, keep our lakes clean!
Wonderful place to spend an afternoon hiking and enjoying the views. The cows have it good here too....
It’s beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to ride or walk.
Great place for taking a walk.
Beautiful park with great trails, awesome fishing, and beautiful scenery
Such a peaceful trail, has both bike trail and dirt trail. Lot of birds to watch and deer too
Beautiful day. Spring is most certainly here!
Frequent visit this trail. Rolling hills are beautiful this time of year, given the rains. Took heed of rising reservoirs compared to weeks ago. Admired the blooming rare fruit trees in the orchard grove - a site to see. A refreshing morning activity, good experience. Recommend as a easy leisure trail to hike/walk. Mostly gravel trail.
Love this place
Always a nice lil get away
Nice beautiful place
Great if you like riding flat paved trails, usually windy, and dodging clueless hikers
Nice, walking or bike riding
Everybody needs to walk the length of It.Its so Nice!
Great trail, I love to go biking here, the only problem is that it gets pretty crowded sometimes
Lots of space. Not very crowded. Close to water. Beautiful
Good for family outing
Great place to walk, bike, and run but biking on the side closest to the lake is a bit bumpy
This trail is very nice. Good for spending time around the lake. For parents with kids, the walkway is stroller friendly.
Love this trail, I run a section two to three times a week. Its very clean and pretty well kept. Most other folks on the trail are either walking, jogging or on bikes. Occasionally you may see someone on horseback, but its infrequent, maybe once a month. In general the majority of the trail is a quiet, clean and safe place to help you shed the stress and get some exercise.
This is one of the best trails! There are many small lakes here and many paths you can take. It’s good for small, medium and long trails depending on how you want to do it. Decent parking structure. I believe it has many entrances from different points around! Would definitely recommend this place for people who love running for long distances
This is such an oasis in an urban area. We love to walk along the creek trail. We take different entrance points, so as to change up the walk & the view. It feels good to be among the trees, along the creek.
Quiet, clean, picturesque!
Picnic areas, swimming, fishing and bike trail!! Family place!!!
Nice kool lil creek good trail to walk on
My dog and I really like the trails!
It was a nice place to walk around either Rainbow Lake or Horseshoe Lake. Wear warm gloves and coats later afternoons cause it is a cccold wind coming off the water. Bring binoculars to look at all the beautiful landscapes and wildlife.
Love it I come here all the time. I recommend it.
I been there a few times. Its nice to walk around there.
This is great spot for a nice walk. Parking lot is usually crowded, but since its winter its not too bad. You can walk around the lakes, there is also a nice garden and Great views of mission peak.
Love walking the creek
Awesome park. You wont be disappointed. Lots of trails to walk, run and bike.
Kaiser Cove is a great location for RC boating
Nice access route without traffic crossings. Western end is Coyote Hills (more like bumps) and eastern end is Niles. Youll see deer walking in the creek, fish, and goats to control the overgrowth. Popular bike route to east bay hills, or Dumbarton Bridge.
Beautiful trail!
Thanks to former Congressman Don Edwards for creating this natural seclusion in the heart of the Bay Area. I love doing a bicycle ride here
Nice trails for any age, access to lakes. And free parking as bonus.
Its a great place to be, either alone or with friends, on a bike or by foot. You can reflect on memories or make new ones. The trail is long enough for either, but short enough to want to come to again.
Nice place for a casual hike where there isnt much in the way of terrain change or elevation change. The best part about it is that you can have your dog off leash here and allow some freedom for your pet. There is a view of the water and some hills and a good amount of distance you can travel, but it is linear and not a loop so you may find yourself going however far you like and then turning around to head back to the lot. The end result is that your view will repeat from another angle so plan for a walk that backtracks on your path.
Lovely hiking trail been here just a few times and wouldnt even mind keep coming back
Its a good place to take the kids for a fun aternoon outing. Bring a bag lunch or have a picnic.
Very good place to hang out and spend an afternoon to relax.
Awesome, winding & level trail flanking the creek. plenty of crossing along the span, connects to two other regional parks. sporadic shade & relative seclusion make it great for hikers, runners & cyclists...though the latter groups should be advised that only one side is truly paved, while the other is gravel.
Beautiful Fall colors are plentiful at Quarry Lakes in Fremont. Nice, well maintained dirt trails to walk or run for miles. In winter, the water levels rise creating a serene and peaceful environment.
Seems to be a popular place to fish. Saw lots of folk walking with gear, and fish. if you are looking to commune with nature a bit, you will likely want another park. What if it we saw was fairly developed. Saw a sign for orchard but it was just a large lawn and picnic tables. The swimming area might be nice in the summer, but I think Ill explore other parks for hiking and walking.
