Very nice park. Family had a blast. Although muddy from the last rain was still very nice. Large soccer fields. Nice picnic and grill areas lined down the river. Multiple river access points but steps are great! Didnt check out the restroom facilities but will update when we do.Will definitely come back again!

What a great place to enjoy the outdoors in downtown Fredericksburg! My son and I enjoyed meeting up with cousins in a COVID safe way!

Amazing place only an hour from the DC area. The park was clean and everyone followed social distancing, for the most part. Worth the trip and lots of fun in the river. Make sure you bring water shoes, food, and plenty of excitement, youll love the it!

The biscuits with sausage gravy and potatoes with peppers and onions, are simply amazing. The bacon flavored deviled eggs are not with the money. Service was great, loved it

A nice park with shelters, a playground, tables, grills, trails, restrooms, informational plaques, and lots of green space. There is also easy access to the river to swim. Parking can be very limited on busy days. Also... if you litter you are the scum of the earth. Pick up your trash there are garbage and recycling cans everywhere.

Nice outdoor space. Playground. Close to the water and a nice trail. It does get a little wet and swampy on the field

Parking lot is okay. Public restrooms. Play area for kids. Mowed grass fields. Rappahannock River is scenic. I would park here and run or walk (some folks bike) on the Heritage Trail and with the Canal Trail makes a loop of about 3 miles. It is wide enough for two lanes and marked for social distancing. I think it is okay for wheel chairs but there are some hills. Plenty push strollers though.

It is a nice small park with lots of trees around the playground area that keeps it in the shade. Theres a Baseball field, Tennis Court and big parking lot located in a nice neighborhood

Really nice park that was not treated well by recent rains and flooding. Nice quiet trails, utilized quite a bit by trail cyclists. Playground was loud, crowded and fun today. Families picnicking and some visitors on solitary rambles

Very nice park. It has access to the Rappahannock River. Also the Rappahannock River Heritage bike trail runs right by it. Unfortunately, major road repairs are ongoing on Caroline St. so we were not able to access the park by car, only by bike.

This is a great park. There is so much to do here! Its a great place to take kids for an outing, and a great place to take the dogs. You can also sometimes find events going on at the park too. #LetsGuide

This has an excellent place to get a 5K run in. There also a playground and a field.

My family and I all had so much fun. My husband cooked on the provided grill while I watched my kids play at the skate park on their bike (that we got my son Chris for his 7th bday) and skateboards the kids received for getting good grades... Me celebrated my sons 7th bday and even his great grandmother had fun watching our kids and others skate play and everyone helping one another to achieve goals and learn new tricks even strangers became friends

I like the park. Lots of room and lots to do. Or just sit and enjoy. Both work.

Eric from Walmart suggested this location. The children are overjoyed! The area is beautiful and the play area is superb. I cant wait to add more photos with my 6Dmkii and make some memories in this gem of a place. Thank you again you awesome local kind-hearted people.

Ive always loved this park. Very spacious the kids park is big and fun for kids of all ages. Plenty of picnic tables and right on the river. The bathrooms could use a lil love

Overall nice park. However, the amount of trash left around the facility was a little disappointing. I dont understand why trash cannot be carried back from the park location; and deposited in a trash can.

Beautiful riverfront park, with meadows, trees, picnic areas, restrooms, and nice walking trails down to the river. Great place to watch birds of prey, like hawks, eagles and osprey.

The bees and flys and gnats are horrible. They should spray out there, so that you can enjoy yourself

Love the park. Quiet and relaxing and its well maintained. My daughter and I use the trails quite a bit along with the playground and field for kite flying.

As much as I love this park, theyve made some questionable decisions on its uptake. Then again, Im not a part of the city council. The bathrooms are usually dirty and they took down the pavillion in the corner of the massive field. They also got rid of the trashcan beside the playground for whatever reason so now people throw their trash onto the ground. Other than that, its a large park with a soccer field and frisbee area. The playground is friendlier to 4 and up but its very nice.

Nice park. Stopped and ate breakfast while roadtripping. A few sketchy looking old heads hanging out though. There was plenty of traffic passing through, families and joggers. So that made me feel more comfortable.

Old Mill Park is a very large facility. Public restrooms are available. We had a football scrimmage there. My only complaint was that the grass needed to be mowed.

This is a very well Park, I spent marvelous moments in this place whit my wife, my daughters an my grandsons.

Nice park along the river. Many people enjoying it and the adjoining greenway. There are public bathrooms, but people when you drop your atomic, only in public bathroom, grizzly bear sized bowel movements have the decency to flush. Were all in this together.

Its a nice spacious city park with a huge lawn area. The playground is well maintained.

Such a calm place. Theres a bit of everything for everybody; exploring, playground, fishing, open areas for picnic blankets.

The Earth Day festival was a wonderful event for all ages!! There were vendors from many local businesses spreading awareness of our environment and how to improve it! Cant wait for the Rock the River fest later in the summer.

This park helps me get my 10k steps in. the walking trail is nice about 4 miles long. The pets or on leashes and i am not stepping in or over animal feces.

Exceptionally clean and lots of open space

Nice and clean area. Its got a sort of murdery feeling about the place I cant put my finger on. Theres random culverts and fencing around certain parts of the park due to a few converging waterways, but other than that it looks quite nice. Bathrooms didnt look very appealing but I didnt go inside.

We love the Old Mill Park. Right on the Rappahannock River, and the Rappahannock Heritage Trail goes right along it.Nice kids playground, restroom facilities, and pavilions available, and even a small kayak/canoe ramp. Also right down river from Virgina Outdoor Center, where you can rent tubes or boats and ride down the river to the park. VOC picks up at the park.Its also just across the river from the John Lee Pratt park in Stafford.

Im not sure if I saw a juvenile bald eagle or an osprey dive into the river 3 times today. On the third time, it had a large, silver fish in its talons when it flew away!! What an awesome sight!!! I wish I had bright binoculars. I also saw a bald eagle and 2 osprey just sitting in a tree. Bring your binoculars!!!

Company picnic had a great day and food right on the Rapphanck river.

Nice little park near the river. Also has a nice Pavilion with grills so that you can cookout and has nice air conditioning public restrooms.

Great safe playground for the kids and am amazing well kept open field. The kids played soccer and flew kites all afternoon. I personally recomend a family outing to this wonderful place

Its a great place for walking, bike riding, and sightseeing the old town city of Fredericksburg, with great views of the river as well.

What a great location for a nice peaceful walk. I highly recommend this park to anyone wanting to get a small get away from the day to day. Very clean and lots of parking available. Safe ply areas for kids and dog friendly.

Great place to start walking the canal path!

Not a lot of shady areas to.park which is disappointing since when I was a kid the whole area was densely wooded. I used to play with my friends up and down the river and that whole area. Designing that place by removing all of the old growth trees was a shame bordering on incompetence. I see now they are planting trees I guess because they realized it was a screwup. I wont live long enough to see the benefit of the new plantings. Hopefully my grandkids will.

Love that the park is in an area where the kids cant run off too far. There are two parking lot, one close to the park. Sometimes the ice cream trucks makes a run through the park.

Nice little park to walk the dogs. It runs along the Rappahannock River and theres places you can get wet. The park has some tables and BBQ puts.

This park has a nice view and access to the river. There is a nice playground (with equipment) for small children and large fields for various games. There are several covered picnic areas (which can be reserved). Plenty of free parking. Great picnic, swimming, fishing and relaxing location.

Beautiful scenery. Water is pretty gross when you get in at points where water isnt moving. Overall, nice trails.

Its beautiful its free people could clean up better after themselves but its still a great place to hang out .

Great park for the family. Walking paths are neat and clean. Had some shady cars come through staring at everyone and then leave. But it was a good and pretty place.
