Great location with paved walkway as well as paths off it to be more hiking like. Its beautiful with so many wonderful fall colors. Its tucked away but you can hear slight traffic. So dont come here if you want to be away from it all. There are lots of people usually on a nice day.

Lots of kids/families out when I went yesterday (Labor Day). Really easy trail hike with lots of nature scenery from boulders to streams. Easy to find and plenty of parking space.I have terrible back problems and this was perfect for me. It’ll be nice to do in the fall with all the changing colors.

A nice park with lots of areas to explore. There is a covered space with tables for gatherings and parties, as well as picnic tables, benches, and barbecues scattered around the park. There is a swing-set located near the parking lot, as well as bathrooms on site. Its a short hike down to the water which you can get in, and there are other trails to explore as well (some are better kept than others) such as the Virginia Central Railway Trail.

A really good park it could be a lot better.Walk along the creek for some really cool formations and a couple of small waterfalls.Bring a bicycle and connect to the Fredericksburg network of cycling paths.Looking at my picture, clearly there has been a playground here it has been removed for whatever reason. If you brought your kids to come to a playground and were disappointed, check out Duff McDuff park a few miles away or Old Mill in old town Fredericksburg. The trails are not very well marked or maintained and there are lots of places where people have made their own trails causing a lot of erosion.

Great walking/nature/picnic park. Only has a swing set - not so much a park for small children if youre looking for the giant playground experience. Very pretty place where you can definitely find a spot to relax and read a book of talk with a friend, forget about things kind of place.

Nice place to get out and stretch your legs. You do have to cross a stream in your car to access the park, so theyll close off the park if its been raining and the stream is high. They have some nice short trails that are worth checking out, playground for children, and picnicing areas.

Fun park to check out if you like quiet walks along the river. Take your pets to meet friends at a new place. This park has everything with barbecue grills, trails, parking, pavilions, and rapid water flowing down the river with tranquil sounds like you’ll fined nowhere else. One of the best features of this park is that enter you actually drive through part of the river which is how the driveway is designed.

Favorite park in Fredericksburg area. My favorite is the hiking trails which I frequently take my kids where we clamber down to one of the pebble beaches by the creek. The bike trail is one of the newest and nicest in town. The playground was fun, but was recently removed. Hope there are plans to replace.

The park is a lot of fun. There are several walking trails along the stream, a picnic area and other things to do. There is also access to paved trails. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because the playground has been removed for some reason. Hopefully the install a new playground.

One of my favorite places to walk! The trails are paved and fairly well maintained. Im delighted they finally opened the rest of the trails, so I think from one point of the trail to the other end, its about 3 miles and that doesnt count doubling back. I could be wrong.Overall, you can explore off the trails and be relatively safe doing so. Ive never had any issues with this location.
