Two stars only because it is a cool location and atmosphere. But... Awful wines. I rarely give poor ratings. I would not come back here. One wine tasted like nail polish remover.

The owner is so nice, the wine is fantastic and I highly recommend the duck sausage pizza! We had a great time and will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The power was out and they had to close. We did not even get inside. Enjoyed the donkeys though.

Lovely tasting room. All the wines we tasted were super - above par. We ended up buying a couple of bottles. It was hard to decide as they were all excellent.

Our visit to Chisholm Trail Winery was....okay.The scenery was amazing and the wine was good, but we arrived around lunch time and were expecting to try one of the pizzas that was advertised on their website...well, apparently the pizza kitchen hasnt been open since February 2018 (its October 2018 right now) and there was no signage saying otherwise.We tried a few of their wines and needed to get something to eat, so we ordered their cheese/meat/fruit board...what we got was a few pieces of rolled up lunch meat, some store bought cheese, and some grapes/strawberries (definitely not a charcuterie board that I would associate with a winery)...not worth the $12.50 price tag.3 stars for the wine and scenery, but I felt somewhat duped on the food aspect.

The most awesome winery we went to during our wine lovers tour! So friendly and knowledgeable. The place irself decorated beautifully!!! Loved,Loved,Loved it!

Loved all the wines because they are fruit forward, not sweet. I guess the person that left the review 2 years ago, left their wine in a hot car. Hello, wine like milk will spoil. My wife and I loved the wines so much, we joined the wine club and are anxiously waiting on the current shipment.

Very great experience overall. The gentleman helping us was very funny and took the time to make our experience one of a kind. The pizza and the wine were also amazing. Definitely recommend.

3 stars bc the wine was great. Service was not, it took a long time to get our tastings, wanted to buy bottles but got charged the wrong amount so had to wait for a refund and the employee couldnt figure out how to fix it, ended up leaving without the bottles we wanted.

Wasnt a fan of the wine. I think they had been open to long one smelled like paint thinner. The atmosphere was awkward and we asked about pizza but they said the pizza chef had been out with a hurt back temporarily but after reading reviews theyve been gone almost a year. They need to update their website and Facebook page. I dont normally review things unless its really good or really bad. Its not worth the drive out of town.

We had such a great time! Chris was a great wine tour guide. All the wine we had was amazing. Also, we had our 3 dogs with us. Very pet friendly.

Glad to have found this fantastic winery just a few minutes from our house. All of the wines are good, and Im a very picky wine snob. If you get a chance to try the pizza, its excellent as well.Do yourself a favor and make trip to this gem just West of Fredericksburg.

A long drive that ended in disappointment for our group that was ready to spend some $. Wine was less than average. Pizza mentioned on the website has not been offered at the winery in months. Wanted a snack and ordered cheese/cracker tray which was not available. Service was mediocre. Why even be open?

Love the setting, people are friendly, enjoy the banditos roaming the grounds. Great wines also.

Chris was the man in charge, hes learning everything behind the counter as well as how to make it. What a friendly and outgoing man that was very attentive to our taste. That moscato was great and even better with the peach Bellini mix Chris upsold us on, but our #1 reason for going was for the Ghostrider wine which has got better each year and this year carries a very distinct jolly rancher flavor like no wine Ive ever had! Mike in the pizza kitchen really hooked it up with a top notch pizza that was half German/pepperoni. Thx Chisholm Trail for starting our wine tasting trip out awesome.

This is my new favorite place! Stopped here with my husband while on our honeymoon. We sipped wine and played horse shoes with the beautiful vineyard as our backdrop. The Badass Blush is delicious and the peach winerita is addicting (Bonus: they sell everything you need to make them at home!!!!). Everyone that works there is in a great mood and make the whole wine tasting experience that much better. Didnt get a chance to try their pizza from the pizza oven but it looked and smelled amazing. This place is a must if you are anywhere near Fredricksburg or the surrounding area!

Both my friends in Texas, who we met in Fredericksburg, and us bought a number of bottles of wine and were severely disapointed when the wine tasted like vinegar, a total of 8 bottles. We open ours in Milwaukee, WI and they in San Antonio, Tx.We liked the store, where veterans were honored ands pictures were everywhere.I wrote to their email and told them our problem, along with vintage, scan code, etc., and never received a reply.Sad.
