Nice place to spend time during thanksgiving & Christmas holidays.Place is lit with hundreds of light during night and is very colorful.Many fun activities and dining options are available during holiday season and is a good place to spend time with kids.Wheelchair accessible parking is available.

Truly a beautiful garden, with some wonderful history throughout. The bronze sculptures tell a story I never wouldve known. Butterflies were everywhere, putting the icing on the proverbial cake. Definitely set aside some time to explore and wander, and enjoy the addition of the community Christmas tree and the giant glockenspiel!

A great park. Very clean. Easy paths for wheelchairs. And look at these holiday figures. I would take my friends here all year long.

Every year we make a trip out to Fredericksburg at holiday time to both hike Enchanted Rock and enjoy the Christmas decorations and shopping in Fredericksburg. We love wander the Marktplatz, taking in the plantings in the park and German-style Christmas decorations.

We didnt really get to experience much when we visited. I would love to see how it would typically be under normal circumstances. Nice place to walk around and stop for lunch. Kid friendly. Some good photo ops.

There are really pretty gardens and pathways that wind through the area next to the market. It is filled with butterflies, memorials, some stunning bronze statuary, and the occasional bench to stop and enjoy the surroundings. The market was not open and I dont know the schedule, so it was not crowded.

It was so much nicer few years back at Christmas when they had Christmas lights all over. Now not so much to look at it. Has lots of nice shops to visit though.

Very cool little town center, decked out for the holidays, and emaculately kept up.

So many butterflies is the flower garden that alone is pretty neat. I also enjoyed walking around the nearby shops.

Extensive public area with restrooms and benches for outdoor activities. Large covered picnic table area and a childrens playscape as well as large shade trees and lawn area. Museum and gift shop in center of the square adds charm.

That have an awesome free new years celebration with a ball drop, free hats any tiaras saying happy New year. They also had a line band and disco dance floor. No better way to celebrate New years!

Beautiful park in a wonderful community. Had trouble understanding why only half the people were wearing masks! Tourists Just dont understand that the virus is everywhere.

Fun to see people are coming in and visiting Fredericksburg. We need each other to return back to where we can freely walk, eat and drink while visiting tourists places.

Well it was really beautiful the only problem with Fredericksburg is I took my 81 year old father over there for something to do during the pandemic and half of everybody was wearing their masks around their neck not really complying getting right up on top of you on the streets and seeing as how he has three underlying issues I dont think that that was very considerate at all so we left

I love the history of this town and am never disappointed by visiting. The marketplace is just great for a bit of history and seeing some lovely plants.Be sure to visit if they have a festival on in this part of town, its great fun and there are plenty of nearby places to eat or just grab a drink.

Shaded by trees and the Oktoberfest Buildings, this site offers photo opportunities galore.Pro-Tips: At the rear of the Platz youll find a small Hidden Garden with a water wheel and assorted statuary depicting the local history of Germans and Indians.For me, the Platz is at its best during the Christmas Season, after dark, when the trees are lit up and a large tree and giant German Christmas Pyramid provide added German charm.

Neat flowers and play area with sand. Enjoyed taking our kids here to run off some steam before heading back home. Had a neat water wheel and quite a few plants that I would love to grow. Lots of shaded picnic tables and an arbor to sit under.

So me& the wife visited Fredericksburg last weekend,had lunch to go and went to this park to eat it,ok so we wanted to wash our hands before lunch,restrooms closed,All OF THEM IN THE PARK! Yet the park was open.so know we were thinking, where are we going to relive ourselves, I would think that if the city opened the park,then the restrooms should be open as well! Jumped in the car and had to go on the south side fuel station to wash our hands&ate our lunch in car on the way home.my wife is a nurse and I just wanted to get her out of the house on her ONLY day off,but the city of Fredericksburg ruined my surprise day trip for my hard working wife!!SHAME ON YOU CITY OF FREDRICKSBURG!!!

Oh what fun. Beautiful German inspired trees. There is a fun gingerbread train for the kiddos and fun gingerbread picture taking opportunities. There is even an ice skating rink for all to enjoy.
