Wonderfully kept battlefield with concrete paths with well illustrated depictions of the battles. Easy access for anyone wanting a nice stroll through the field. One of the decisive battles at this site ensued in the late evening and into early night. The evening I visited we were cast a farewell about 8pm in early June these fireflies as they lit up the field with their evening sparkle of homage.

This is a very beautiful venue. And all the ground sleeping looks fantastic which makes for awesome photos. And it’s quite an open layout. It was a very enjoyable place to host an event at.

We toured two homes that were in the battle of Franklin Tennessee. Each tour guide was awesome. One gave it from the perspective of the families (loved it!) and the other was more historically presented. I love the homes. They were furnished and had family pictures. Wonderful!!!

This is the best kept secret in Franklin if you like to fly drones. Beautiful scenery, quiet, lots of interesting things to see from the air, wide-open spaces. We also did my daughters prom pictures at the activity center where the lawn and garden features were the perfect setting. Really a wonderful public place. Located in the front of the Carnton plantation, this park is a bit awkward. The whole area feels like you are walking around an abandoned 9 hole golf course. Thats probably because until recently this was a 9 hole golf course. So, the meandering path at one time took you from hole to hole is now lined with occasional informational signage. Some of these are interesting but not enough to warrant a visit for that alone.I must admit it is challenging to imagine the property as a battlefield or to picture any military action as... It just looks like a golf course. However, this park shares property and parking with a civil war cemetery and the Carnton Plantation so it is not a total bust.

The City of Franklin has done an excellent job of preservation and community access. There is a 1 mile loop trail around the property with historical markers/stories along the way to learn the history of the battle, or enjoy a simple stroll on this beautiful piece of TN property steeped in history.
