One of the most amazing weddings Ive ever photographed was at Bass Hall! I cant recommend it enough to anybody looking for a wedding venue. The management is extremely professional and helpful - allowing me to do a walkthrough before the wedding day, having plenty of staff on site to assist with navigating or getting into certain spaces, etc. The reception was on the stage of the main hall and OMG - iconic. The large windows in the foyer areas offer tons of great natural light for portraits. There are so many architectural details to play with too! The wedding I shot here was in June so it was extremely hot. There was so much light and variety of backdrops on the inside of Bass Hall that we never needed to go outside and sweat to get the images we needed. I highly recommend this venue!

Bass Hall is a great venue for performances. I like that patrons are able to use the outdoor balconies. Also, the theater has its own parking garage right near the theater, which is a big deal to me. I have been here twice so far. Once to see The Nutcracker Ballet and then to see The Color Purple Musical. What is very impressive to me is when the musical was over, the police blocked off the street to all traffic where the entry and exit for the garage is located. This was extremely beneficial to us a pedestrians going to our cars and then as motorists leaving the garage. Excellent idea!!I also like the fact that there are several eateries nearby- from upscale to casual. I think downtown Fort Worth is very nice because it’s clean and not overcrowded. It’s a great place for this venue.

I have gone to bass hall countless times. This time was the nutcracker and we wholeheartedly loved it. Other place we are going to wear a beauty in the beast, Monty python, and concerts. Please note that no drinks or snacks are allowed in the auditorium. Drinks with lids that are bought at their bar are allowed. The drinks at the bar or always great in the production is always noteworthy. Parking around the Bass Hall is plentiful and restaurants offer a wide variety of food within a short walk distance. Bass Hall is a jewel nestled in the heart of Sundance Square.Obviously this is the place where you can dress up but it is also a place where you can fit in a more casual clothes. It’s a blend of both worlds of upper crust and Cowtown. If you go to a production at night they have many security guards all around to make you feel safe. They do have valet parking but I suggest you get there early because this line can fill up fast.

I went to a Sunday afternoon performance of Ghostbusters. Im not fond of crowds at all. But it was a great experience. Its so beautiful and classic. Beautifully lit and warm decor. Large enough where you dont feel cramped but still cozy enough where you dont worry about getting lost. Plenty of restrooms, staff are extremely helpful and kind. Refreshments are what you would expect. Small pack of m&ms and a water came to 6 or 7 dollars. Although the location is downtown, parking is close and if this is your only destination there is quick access out of downtown. Restaurants and pubs are literally right around the corner if you want to hang out after or before.

Hadnt been to Bass Hall for years. Was unaware of recent changes to their security policies. Had a $75 pocket knife seized upon entry. Couldnt take it to my vehicle as parking valet had driven my car off. Bass Hall personnel were unhelpful but a uniformed security guard held my pocket knife until after the performance. My wife was in a walker and it was very difficult to get on the elevator, especially after the performance due to crowding by normals. The facility was magnificent as usual and the performance was flawless, beautiful and innovative.

You wouldn’t recognize it from the exterior, but the Bass Performance Hall is a great venue and has wonderful acoustics. Recently, I came here to watch Boyz II Men perform with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra backing them and it was a wonderful experience. There was a few hiccups with the mics they were using and the sound was a bit muffled, but that’s to be expected as this hall was built with an orchestra in mind. The orchestra came through and played marvelously. As for everyone working here they were all so friendly and helpful in finding out seats. Talk about Southern Hospitality. It doesn’t get any better than than these folks!

Went for a Shostakovich performance (any performances of his pieces are rare) and were sat in the wrong seats by the valet. We didnt even know until the actual seat holders showed up and acted like we stole their seats. My handicapped grandmother and I had to go all the way out while they figured out what they did wrong as the show started behind us. We ended up leaving as not only did we miss the opening number but she was too tired after walking that far to enjoy it even if we stayed. Horribly embarrassing for what turned out to be her last visit to bass hall. We were contacted via voicemail by someone who was impossible to get in contact with who reassured us in their voicemail everyone on their end was fine. I would rather drive to dallas than go here again.

I have season tickets for the symphony and ballet, but other offerings are so incredible that we enjoy so much more. I have lived in New York city, Los Angeles and Mexico city, but Bass Hall is so central and accessible that I am able to frequent it often. I have had an opportunity to have supper with orchestra members. I ask where else would someone be able to sit down and interact with such an awesome group of artists? The lectures before the symphony plays is very informative. The ballet choreography is wonderful. The dancers are unbelievable. The opera is exciting.
